I have seen that minors are about semitones and majors about whole tones, but, if a major thirds goes up on 4 semitones, but so does perfect four seemingly. Well, they say it's 5 semitones (reasonably), but I have seen compass examples and it seems the same as 4 semitones.

.Also, if a second is a way to get through the terms major second/minor second, which minor second is one semitone and a major second is a whole tone, a perfect four would follow the major pattern or the minor patter? I mean, if it's five semitones, it would be considered a minor, because it's 'whole tone + whole tone + semitone' and not 'whole tone + whole tone'/'whole tone + whole tone + whole tone', basically, it's not an natural number. So, a perfect four would be equivalent to minor four and then next would be a major four? Because if a perfect four is 5 semitones and a minor 5 is 7, there must be something in the middle, would that be M4?

Does perfect four only refer to what would be a minor five or it refers to 4ths in general, if so how would that work, because if a P4 is 5 semitones, there would lack a 6, or a M4, how could that be any of the 4ths if it does not generate 5 and 6 instead of just 5?

I regularly meet up with Cissy. Over cups of tea and coffee, we discuss all things food, baking and fashion. We often come up with newsletter titles together, including the good, the great and the simply terrible! However, this time, I was interested to hear what Cissy\u2019s perspective might be on Petit Fours, something I love the concept of, but in all honesty, after an evening of overindulging, they often feel like one thing too many. In this article, Cissy investigates whether the perfect conclusion to a meal exists.

I would highly recommend spending a day in Sintra, Portugal. The Sintra-Cascais Natural Park is filled with beautiful palaces and castles. It is only an hour train ride or a thirty minute drive from Lisbon so it makes a perfect day trip! Some popular sites are Pena Palace, Castle of the Moors, Quinta Da Regaleira, and Cabo da Roca. Check out my blog post on spending a day at Pena Palace.

Because we booked our Azores trip late (August 21 for a September 15 check-in), Azor only had availability for the first three nights of our four-night stay. For our last night, we (very sadly) moved down the street to Marina Atlantico Hotel, which was solidly mediocre. Azor is definitely a very tough act to follow.

But there's more to the sequencer than just notes and sounds inside the Analog Four. Both the FX and CV tracks are open to sequencer control, too, meaning that Analog Four is a great brain for a modular system as well as crafting highly unusual chorus, delay, and reverb effects that can change on a dime. The CV track and its four dedicated outputs are highly configurable, supporting even the most unusual legacy gear out there. But for more modern pieces, you can also sequence and clock gear from the MIDI output, which can also be configured as DIN Sync ports for classic drum machines.

Laminar is my Scala.js UI library that was intended as an alternative to React.js but turned out to be its polar opposite in entirely too many ways as I slowly figured out what perfect UI development is to me, and how to achieve it (spoiler alert: not in that order).

I could have fixed all these issues independently, but for once in Laminar's history I managed to restrain my rush for immediate perfectionism, and let a more natural solution come to me. Laminar wasn't bad anymore, it was already quite good, and for end users the problems were mostly manageable with a couple rules of thumb.

I don't know how things are with resources for training/introducing newcomers to Scala nowadays, but back in the day I've been finding that it was indeed not perfect. But I know for sure that there are many more courses and books on Scala today (and oh boy I wish I had them 7 years ago). To name a few:

In the biggest matchup of her life, the dazzling point guard from Iowa had done it all -- poured in 41 points to set a record for the highest-scoring NCAA Tournament semifinal, ended the perfect season of South Carolina and, most importantly, put her Hawkeyes into the championship game.

Trailing 59-55 entering the fourth quarter, South Carolina scored the first five points to take the lead. Clark answered right back with two deep 3-pointers and an assist to Monika Czinano to give the Hawkeyes a 67-62 lead.

Clark then scored another layup on the other end out of a timeout to make it a four-point game. After a layup by Zia Cooke with 58 seconds left, the Hawkeyes ran the clock down with McKenna Warnock grabbing a huge offensive rebound off a Clark miss with 18 seconds remaining.

A bit confused at the moment regarding when a perfect fourth is classed as a consonance, and when it is classed as a dissonance. I have read here on Stack Exchange, that perfect fourth intervals are consonant when they are inverted perfect 5ths, unless they involve the bass- (eg 64-53).

In my example, bar 22 is Dm7 (ii7) in third inversion, followed by G (V) in first inversion in bar 23. The parts concerned are alto and tenor (alto clef). I would like to put a G (anticipation- highlighted) in the alto part. This non chord note forms a dissonance of a second with the F in the tenor part below. In the next bar, the two voices form a 4th, D-G (two chord notes of the GM chord). Is this fourth classed as a consonance, because it is an inverted perfect 5th in the upper voices? Or is it a dissonance, meaning that putting in a second interval before it is problematic?

Basically the dissonance of the fourth is in relation to the bass. That is why the fourth in a first inversion 6/3 chord isn't treated as a dissonance. Relative to the bass the intervals of the upper voices are a third and a sixth.

The cadential and the pedal are the given a contrapuntal treatment similar to a suspension. There will be a fourth and sixth above a bass and those two tones resolve by stepping down to a third and fifth. Passing and arpeggiated move differently and involve movement not of the upper voices, but of the bass. In passing types the bass moves between the root and third of a chord like I V6/4 I6 or I6 V4/6 I and in arpeggiated types the bass just steps through the various chord tones like I I6 I6/4 I. You can find scores illustrating these in a good harmony textbook.

I think you've got it right. The fourth is a consonance if it's in the upper part of a chord (like E-G-C a C63). It's a dissonance when it's not part of the chord (as any other note would be.) It's a dissonance against the bass as this (at least since tonality became common) implies a 6-4 chord like G-E-C-G which is used in a few idiomatic places.

This cottage home was perfect for the two of us. All the amenities we needed were provided, the furnishings comfortable and location was the best. This cottage and the surrounding neighborhood was a peaceful, reflective place to return to from our day outings. We loved it!

Our family of 5 (kids are 5, 4, and 2 yo) had a wonderful time at the fantastic cabin. The location provides a perfect launch point for exploring the area. We were able to visit both Indiana and Warren Dunes, the fantastic beaches of Lake Michigan, and many fantastic restaurants in New Buffalo and the surrounding area. The cabin itself is a fantastic respite from a long day of play. It was clean and well-appointed with a lovely screened-in back porch for a quiet cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening. We loved snuggling with the kids in the loft TV room. We'd love to come back again! Thank you so much!

This rental was a great place to get away from home, be safe, and enjoy the numerous outdoor options during this time of being socially and physically distanced. We found this lovely Michiana cottage exceptionally clean and comfortable, well stocked, and a perfect location to enjoy this quiet neighborhood on foot, or wonderful biking ride along the lakeshore. It was a short drive to the Indiana Dunes State & National Parks where we spent a few day trips, and also easy access to the New Buffalo area just over the Michigan line. Sad that the private beach access is closed due to efforts to contain the erosion, but still wonderful had views! Highly Recommend!

The unique ingredient is, of course, cream cheese. The cream cheese lends a velvet-like texture as well as added richness. With just the perfect amount of sugar added in this recipe, the chocolate and cream cheese really shine!

The villa has been crafted with massive timber frames to look like authentic Vietnamese garden homes. There is quite a balance of spaces allowing to spend equal amounts of time inside and outside. The villa has 2 private gardens, one at the back with a pool complete with an amazing outdoor rain shower, which is perfect for after those days at the pool, and one at the front with a relaxing fountain. Everyone will want to spend lazy afternoons on the daybeds that can be found on their terraces, as they are the perfect place for relaxing while inhaling the fresh air.

An original way to discover a town is through its bars and cocktails. A small Hoi An company has designed an evening tour that allows you to do just that. They take you to four unique bars in Hoi An and tell you stories of Vietnam while you sample local food and drinks. Our first stop was at a cute coffee house with some of the best coffee in Hoi An. They also let us sample their home-smoked ham.

The whole experience was incredible and delighted both adults and children. It was fast-paced and extremely well-organized. In a few hours, we went on four different boats, fished, rode bicycles, cooked lunch, met with a local farmer, and even had a foot massage. We all came back to the Nam Hai resorts with huge smiles on our faces. 17dc91bb1f
