1. Offline map location on phone

For the new K3 App Offline map development, would it be possible to use the same map location as Oruxmaps uses?

Because Oruxmaps und Kurviger using the same maps, and Orux stores the map in Android 11+ in Android folder /android/data/com.oruxmapsDonate/files/oruxmaps/mapfiles an its not possible to change it from android folder, just possible to add another subfolder.

With the K2 app I can not access the /android/data folder while selecting the map. I would be nice this would be possible to safe storage space on the phone.

I will try OruxMaps 7.5.9beta38, honestly I think isolines represent critical information for outdoor mtb or hiking practice, where having no such information at all (e.g.: no isolines, like my previous screenshots) is too much of a limitation.

I voted this up. FYI, in the new version/beta of Collector, it's even worse, so please also vote up this idea to help bring back sketching directly on the map and hopefully they can add the continuous sketching that you're looking for: Allow a 'Classic' editing experience in current version of ArcGIS Collector

I'm not happy with the current implementation of my webmap. It uses an old version of OpenLayers (v2). Once I upgrade it to a more recent API, it'll be easier for me to add tools. At the moment, I'm quite busy with both my beta tester activity and my upcoming moving.

3. What can you contribute to making this feature a reality?

I will set up an account for beta testing it if anyone fancies giving it a go as a project! I would be happy to mock up layouts and discuss functionality (although, I'd probably just keep pointing at Thing Counter!)

If there are no tracks or trails of any kind on MP or Gaia, it still has great maps that I think could be a good place to start for figuring out how out how you might get there even if you really only now the location of the climb and nothing else. In particular, their slope angle relief maps are great for seeing But usually that doesn't happen, and usually there is *some* approach beta out there. One thing I'll add is that I use the paid version of Gaia. I used the free version for a long time and it works well, but I did want access to more maps and layers.

@ramack: App Availability: We are still working on the prototype, a link to the most current beta release is available in my F-Droid profile. The prototype is not available via Google Play, but beta testers are currently invited / included via HockeyApp.

(Please note that in the prototype we still include several bug tracking / analytics solutions which we might deactivate / delete in final release versions. We are currently providing a new beta release every week.)

These files can be placed on the Android device in the directory.../oruxmaps/tracklogs - you might want to create sub-directories of thisdirectory to make the route files easier to find (e.g. by country or region). ff782bc1db
