for me alot of the songs on WHO CARES? deserve more praise and some of them are up there with Alex's best work imo, with a lot of them matching different vibes for different moods. An example of one is probs One in a Million, but ik that songs more popular than this subreddit tends to agree on

On the contrary, I feel like alot of songs on Becos are overrated / not as good as people say they are and are comparable to some of the more average / below average songs on Pony. Might be abit of a hot take but the difference between Becos and AP is much bigger in quality than AP and Pony (both of which being big gaps in general)

Harris Jayaraj began working on this film from late October of 2009 onwards.[9] Before working on this film, Harris Jayaraj composed music for the delayed film Engeyum Kadhal,[10] and the song "Dhimu Dhimu" that was finished in December of 2009 was used in this film as "Chilipiga Chusthavala".[11][12][13] The songs "O Range" and "Oola Oolala Ala" were shot in Australia.[14][15] The song "Rooba Rooba" was initially supposed to be pictured on Genelia D'Souza, but after Ram Charan's suggestion that Genelia's homely nature would not work well, Shazahn Padamsee was featured.[16] Vanamali felt that writing lyrics for "Nenu Nuvvantu" was tough because "Bhaskar wanted to convey the feel with simple words that fit into Harris Jayaraj's tune".[17]

In the song, the orange sky refers to sunset. It signifies the end of something, much like the sun going down to end the day. This aligns with the song, where the singer explores familial relationships and deals with the aftermath of losing family members.

This song uses the color orange as a metaphor for self-identity, self-love, and inner strength. The singer sees herself as an orange moon as she reflects the light of the sun. This can be seen as her way of reflecting the greatness of those around her, particularly a love interest.

The lyrics perfectly evoke certain emotions and imagery as they describe fun in the summertime. The singer declares his love for his girl, saying she makes him happy, just like orange skies, carnivals, and cotton candy do.

With its heartfelt lyrics, this track is a nostalgic look at young love. The song works on sense memory, where the scent of orange blossoms transports the singer to a particular time and place. In this case, that one springtime from where he lived in Florida.

The color orange, vividly expressed in the title and lyrics, brings visual stimulation to listeners. We can say that the singer is reminiscing a childhood memory and freedom, symbolized by an orange toy airplane.

But the singer longs to have back his old friend and invites him over to partake in the celebration. The orange juice that he offers his friend symbolizes refreshment, showing the transformation that his friend has gone through.

The titular orange moon refers to the changing nature of life, with the moon representing the cyclical and ever-changing nature of existence. It is similar to how Juliet asked Romeo not to swear on the moon since it was inconstant. It's a timeless neo-soul classic.

The song describes falling in love, with the bright orange sky acting as a metaphor for the overwhelming feeling of love and desire. It's upbeat and playful, capturing those feelings we all have in the first flush of love.

It tells the story of a man born to a Protestant mother (represented by the color orange) and a Catholic dad (represented by the color green). It's about the cultural clash between the two sides of his heritage, and it's quite funny.

As I worked on my Thesis, I identified many little known, even previously unknown, sources for these songs. A lifetime of research in the oral tradition of song in English in Ireland has uncovered sources of recordings of Orange songs, traditionally sung and indicated others as yet unexplored.
