Alright, so I remember back in the day that the workshop had nextbots like sanic and crap like that being uploaded. After a while, that stuff died down. Probably because its premise of a 2d image moving at a high speed towards a player is all it is. But now, there's nextbots of obunga, that mugshot mandela thing, roblox games about nextbots and other horror themed things. How did this stuff rise again?

sariel was a private server exclusive nextbot in nico's nextbots. sariel cannot be found in the admin panel, instead the unavailable bot spawn and the uncategorized bot spawn must be both enabled and enable the nextbots on and off until it spawns. However, this does not work anymore now.

Nextbot bases are addons that allow extensive functionality to nextbots that developers can use to create nextbots, and generally makes it easier to make them. Such bases include "DrGBase", "R-Base" and "IV04 Base" to name a few. DrGBase in particular allows users to create 3D or 2D nextbots with advanced functions and such(ex: execution attacks). Unlike PNG nextbots, these nextbots require extensive knowledge of LUA to make. Examples of nextbots would be Trevor Henderson nextbots, Slender fortress nextbots, Resident Evil 2 nextbots, TROLLGE nextbots, etc. Some nextbots aren't created using bases such as the Gman nextbot.

PNG Chasers (also called "sanic clones") are nextbots that are usually in the form of a PNG (or sometimes a GIF/VMT) that chase the player at extreme speeds while playing some loud music. These nextbots can also jump extremely high and can destroy and push objects in their path.

Nico's Nextbots is a Roblox game created by nicopatty and released on July 4th, 2022. The game's basic gameplay revolves around nextbots, a basic form of NPC originally created for Garry's Mod. Nextbots, in a nutshell, are 2D NPCs that directly chase towards the player at a fast speed, and when they reach a player, they instantly kill them. The main goal is to evade them as long as possible, as they chase players around the map, while random events can be thrown into the mix.

To do this, the game allows for various movement techniques such as sliding, bunny hopping, and door-slamming throughout the map to gain an advantage against the nextbots. The game has three main gamemodes:

Open World: The game's original gamemode. It features a large interconnected map the player can traverse and explore. The goal is for the player to survive as long as they can while endlessly being chased by the nextbots, due to the lack of a time limit.

Survival earns the player points, which in turn earn the player Nextbux, a currency which can be used to buy cosmetics and power-ups in the in-game shop. Power-ups, while usually having a limited number of uses, can provide advantages against the nextbots and change how the game plays.
