Even when I downloaded the official offline installer, it's still doing something to go online and failing. Our network team said the palo alto firewall's detecting it as a threat....mind's about to explode today :|

I am running the .NET 3.5 offline installer on windows 8.1 from Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service pack 1 (Full Package) . Though, when I run this exe, it still prompts me to install from windows update. The same thing happens with the pre-service pack installer.

Hi, Thanks for sharing the farmeworks. I have a serious question here. Actually i have a windows application current version is .net2.0 and I plan to migrate the app into .net 4.5 but here is a catch under my solution folder i have several modules out of that one is compatable with XP os since the 3rd party components are not supportive with win7 and later. Now suggest me on the below questions.

1. If i build the code in the 4.5 framework is it backward compactable with the .net 3.5 which is already been installed in my XP OS?

2. else, If i build the code in 4.0 framework is it compactable with the .net 3.5 which is already been installed in my XP OS?

3. Since my solution having a sharing BL and DA layers for different modules i dont know how to handle this situatuion?

Please expecting a fast respone. Many Thanks in advance.

i want to run .net 4.0 and .net 4.8 seperately but on the same machine (e.g clr would not be like 4.0 when i run .net 4.8 , clr would be like 4.8 when i run .net 4.8 and clr would be like 4.0 when i run .net 4.0 ) if anybody have that trick or hack kindly let me know

Before I try /notests to see if it works, after the point where the installer does the checks, is there one more click available to start the installer? I'd like to see if the switch works today as a preflight check, but don't have approval for installation today. I don't want to run this just for preflight check and have it just start the installation if run with /notests. Thanks.

Just to confirm I today had the same issue with the Offline installer coming up telling me I didn't have internet access and to download the offline installer. This was a customer upgrade, who were going from NPM12.0 to NPM12.3. As they didn't have Svr 2016 I couldn't use the Online installer as it takes you to 12.4. Even the linked OfflineInstaller downloads 12.4.

I downloaded the 12.3 Offline installer, and ran it with /notests - This worked correctly, and it still gave me the option to select the NTA Version (Go to NTA4.4 or stay on NTA 4.2.3) and it also warned me about WPM Players and Domain Account, but otherwise seemed to work fine.

While the notests flag will work, there is a good chance that you will have issues later. I found out from support that this happens when files are prereqs missing as part of the installer. If you contact support they will help you find what components are missing. In my case it was sqlcli_x64 and sqlcli_x86.

Microsoft released the final version of the .NET Framework 4.8 on April 18, 2019. The new version is available as both web installer and offline installer. Since Microsoft prefers distribution via the web installer, it is difficult to find working offline installer links.

The .NET Framework is offered as web and offline installers. The core difference is that the web installer requires an active Internet connection during installation as it needs to download components from Microsoft servers.

Use this link to download the official .NET Framework 4.8 Language Packs for offline installation. The language packs include translated error messages and user interface text; the text is displayed in English if no language pack is installed.

Visual Studio generally - and Visual Studio 2017 specifically - has an online installer and if you lose connectivity during the installation you can run into problems. However, they haven't got an ISO available for downloading for legal reasons. They can't package up the Android Installer from Google, for example, into an ISO. The user needs to download certain things themselves dynamically.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Make sure that your file is named "vs_[SKU].exe." Sometimes you'll end up with a file like vs_community__198521760.1486960229.exe and you'll want to rename it to vs_community.exe for offline to work.

Does anyone know if there is a fix for Citrix workspace app offline installation error "You must be connected to the internet to download and install the following prerequisite package(s): Edge Webview2 Runtime" ?

It started when I downloaded the Pro 2.5 SDK. The SDK is no longer an automatic installer/updater but works through updating the extension in VS (official Esri instructions). However this didn't work at all - after downloading the update and showing update pending "Click Close to dismiss the dialog and exit Visual Studio." I closed it... for step 6 "The VSIX Installer dialog will appear." and nothing happened. No hidden processes running, just a silent desktop.

Eventually I found some hope in a Repair of VS. After spending several hours(!) reinstalling 446 updates it wiped the previous Pro SDKs and gave me a vanilla VS. Yay Finally, I was able to choose the SDK and when VS closed, the VISX installer dialog appeared.

.NET Framework offline installer is a small freeware tool developed by TechGainer to automatically install .NET Framework 3.5 on Windows 10, 8 and 8.1. Though .NET Framework 4 is a part of Windows 8 and 10, version 3.5, or lower versions are not included in these Windows releases. To install them, you need internet connection. This portable tool can help you easily install .NET Framework offline from existing Windows installation media, as they are available in Windows setup.

Then fully install the game on the other PC with no data cap. Copy the entire Diablo IV\Data folder over to your home PC and replace the mostly empty Data folder with the one from the full install. Restart the Battle.net app and it will scan everything to make sure the game is up to date. At that point you should be good to go and only need to download new patches.

Starting with Version 1904, Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable installer is packaged with the Citrix Workspace app installer. During Citrix Workspace app installation, the installer checks whether the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable package is present on the system and installs it if necessary.

Your app can use a web map while it has no internet connection, by first downloading an offline map from the web map. As soon as the offline map is downloaded, a mobile worker can disconnect their device and work with the map offline.

Mobile users can specify a geographic area of a web map to download as an offline map. Offline maps defined and created this way are known as on-demand offline maps. On-demand offline maps are useful for mobile users who don't necessarily know in advance where they will be working.

On-demand offline maps are very flexible, but because they require the user to identify the geographic area of interest and content to download from the web map at the time it is needed, the user must wait for the offline map to be generated before it can be downloaded. Also, each user needs to make their own request, possibly for the very same map areas that other users have already downloaded. Contrast this with ahead-of-time offline maps, which are limited to specific areas defined by the web map's owner, but which are generated ahead of time, ready to be downloaded by many different users.

You should check which layers and tables in the web map can be taken offline by examining the web map's offline capabilities. This can help identify layers or tables that are missing in the offline map that is generated.

When true, the hasErrors property indicates that one or more layers or tables cannot be taken offline due to an error. You can check the layerCapabilities and tableCapabilities to determine which layer or table cannot be taken offline, and why.

Some layers do not support being taken offline (either they have not been offline-enabled, or the type of layer does not support being taken offline). An offline map can still include references to these online-only layers, allowing the layers to be accessed and displayed whenever a network connection is available. This capability is set by OnlineOnlyServicesOption on GenerateOfflineMapParameters. 2351a5e196
