However, I can't see how it would be more practical/functional vs. a lightweight stand bag when walking the course. Have you ever used a 4-5 lb stand bag (eg, Sun Mountain Three 5, PING Hoofer), and if so can you comment on the functionality differences (pros/cons)? Hi John, the one with the truss rod hole is a genuine replacement pickguard sold by Fender. Unfortunately Fender themselves only offer two pickguards with either 10 or 11 holes for jazz basses, there are no dedicated pickguards available for any series in special.
