Why yes, yes I am, friend. Here's the deal; I've been taking pictures for a bit now (today is actually my 5-year anniversary, cheers), but last year, I picked up surfing and snowboarding. And since doing that, photography just hasn't had the same...allure. It just doesn't give me that feeling that both of those sports do. It used to, but not anymore. Plus, lugging a wet suit, booties, gloves, a towel, clothes, and surfboards to the beach is a bit of work, let alone bringing a camera. Don't even get me started on snowboarding. So, I found that, when I was actually taking pictures, it was with my phone, not my ILC.
Of the 4 lenses moment offers, the 10x has the smallest footprint, but, arguably, generates the most interesting and quality photos. On my hike, I found myself looking more closely at my surroundings, in a way that I don't think I could've done if I had an actual macro lens for my ILC.
But if you already have a Pixel, Iphone, or Samsung, you have the camera. And for $400, you can have 4 really, really decent lenses. And considering I'm not a professional, or have aspirations of making money off of what I do, that was a no brainer for me.
Okay, fun writing and all, but those photos had hideous image quality, even at 0.2 MP on the web. Kind of like pinhole quality. Are you doing something wrong with the camera itself or is it the web processing?
I find that the image quality of the above two images are comparable when viewed at 100%. Bearing in mind the differences between lens DOF. Look at the center portion of the images and it is difficult to see any difference in how detail is rendered. There are tonal differences because, well, two different cameras and two different PP algorithms.
So I don't understand all the vitriol that has been thrown in this thread. P2 image quality is comparable to the image quality from a camera that has a modern APS-C sensor. The Moment lenses soften the image a bit. The softness can probably be restored with a modest amount of sharpening.
What this tells me is the reason you find cell phone photography acceptable is you have a very low threshold for IQ. That's fine but it's a poor argument for saying cellphones can compete with real cameras. It only shows they are good enough for you.
Those aren't the images in question. I wasn't going to resort to pixel peeping but since you did here's some 100% crops from the OPs samples. Please view at full size. When conditions are perfect my iPhone 6s looks much better than this but still much worse than my cameras.
In good lighting at low iso any phone or P&S camera produces acceptable IQ. You're still limited by the lens range, AF speed and any time the lighting is less than ideal. I do use my 6s on occasion but for most (90%) of the photography I do it doesn't cut it. It's why I carry a Sony RX100 on my belt right next to my phone. It appears to me the Moment lenses aren't that good relative to sharpness. Any time you have to sharpen a soft image, as you did in your samples, it gives a rather artificial look.

One notable issue I had with the wide lens was lens flare. I found that the wide-angle lens was particularly susceptible to this, and the degree of lens flare depended on my angle to the sun. This was most probably due to the lack of a lens hood which is something a bigger DSLR camera could have built in when using a wide-angle lens.
