Also this link: -mojave/id1398502828?ls=1&mt=12 does nothing on my computer. Does this work for anyone else here? I am running the latest Mojave myself and want to install it on an external drive which will then become an internal drive on a 2012 MacBook Pro.

I find out what the problem was--it was my Cricket Wireless Service ISP--somehow they apparently were blocking the links from going through (I could have downloaded Catalina which shows up in a serach in the app store). Because I live in an area in rural New York where we receive a cell signal but no land services (such as DSL or cable) I have been pleased with using the internet through my phones hotspot--for the amount that I use it, it has proven to be very economical. I only occasionally need to download a large file (like Mojave) and often can arrange to do it elsewhere (like at some friends' work locations).

I figured this out by going to the local library and to MacDonald's, using their wifi, and successfully seeing these links connect through. I sat in MacDonald's about a half hour while the download completed and my problem was solved. "I'm lovin' it!"

After looking around some more it would seem that the links will or will not open based on IP address. I am currently in China so the link I gave above works just fine but if I try any other link they won't open until I use a vpn at which point the link related to the App Store in the country where the vpn server is hosted will open and the China link won't open.

This article ( -us/HT210190) describes how to upgrade to MacOS Mojave but the link provided in the article ( -mojave/id1398502828?ls=1&mt=12) is not working. I click it and open via App Store on my Mac but nothing is happening. Any help?

Based on the link you provided, you're attempting to update macOS Mojave 10.14.6. You can attempt to download this specific version by visiting Apple's website at: Download macOS Mojave 10.14.6 Update

If the link ( -mojave/id1398502828?ls=1&mt=12) provided in the Apple Support article ( -us/HT210190) would work, we would not have any problems actually. So we either need this link to work or we need a direct download link to the MacOS Mojave (version 10.14)

I am having the same problem as the original author of the post, MusCW. You have been suggesting links to the MacOS Mojave updates and not the actual installer. We are trying to download the actual MacOS Mojave installer. According to the support article, there's a link to the App Store for the MacOS Mojave installer. When I click on the link, the App Store opens but the MacOS Mojave installer does not show up.

I finally worked out an arrangement of scripts that allows me to link to a specific Apple Note from OmniFocus. Links work both on macOS (AppleScript/JXA) and iOS (Shortcuts). I know that many of you use Notes as your GTD Archive/Reference with OmniFocus, so I hope this will be useful to someone else:

Since installing MacOS Mojave, the automatic Dropbox copying of a screenshot link into the clipboard has stopped working. (Mojave has it's own new screenshot functionality which seems to be interferring with this feature on Dropbox.)

I'm not sure what other info I can provide that I didn't in the initial post here. Since intalling Mojave which has it's own new screenshot functionality, the automatic copying of screenshot links to the clipboard (via Dropbox) no longer works.)

Hi Lusil, Thanks for the reply. I just uninstalled and then reinstalled the latest version of Dropbox (the one which automatically downloaded from the Dropbox website is version 60.3.102) And the issue is still there. (Screenshots now seem to have been taken over by Apple's new functionality in Mojave and no link is copied to clipboard.) I did double check the Dropbox App's preferences and the "Share Screenshots..." item is checked under the Import tab. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

thank you for reading my post.

If I drag and drop an email from Mail into any editor, for example Evernote, I end up with a functional mailbox independent link to that email.

I would like to capture that link directly in Mail (which I probably wrongly call email URL) and paste it wherever I want.

thanks again

Don't know the answer, but in a quick web search found this post with some Applescript to copy the URL to your clipboard, hope it helps:

apple.stackexchange.com Is it possible to "deep link" to a specific email in mail.app on Mac OS X? email, links answered by Elliott on 03:55PM - 30 Sep 17 UTC

Just for the sake of discussion, ideally, the end result would look like what I see if I drag and drop an email from mail into Bear where you see the subject of the email which is an active link to the email itself.

I say this because with the MacSparky script, you end up with a long cryptic link with no idea of the content.

I tested my script by creating the MD link in Script Debugger 7, copied the MD link in the results panel, and pasting into the MacDown app. I then clicked on the Macdown rendered link and it opened the message in Mail.

MacTeX is a package which installs TeX Live on the Macintosh. The package is notarized by Apple and uses Apple's standard install technology. It contains native code for both Intel and Arm processors. When installation is complete, the software is fully configured and ready to use. The icon at the top left of our web pages is a link which takes you to this MacTeX home page. The MacTeX working group inside TUG provides two install packages. One, BasicTeX, is relatively small, about 90 MB,but fully capable of typesetting standard TeX and LaTeX documents. The other, MacTeX, is much larger and includes essentially all software available for typesetting with TeX-like systems, including TeX, LaTeX, XeTeX, LuaTeX, ConTeXt, etc. This complete system supports almost every written language in use today, including languages of Western Europe, Russian, Greek, Arabic, Hebrew, Persian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and a multitude of more obscure scripts. BasicTeX and MacTeX can coexist on the same machine, so users experimenting with TeX may reasonably install BasicTeX to try it out. The full MacTeX is recommended if you are certain that you will use TeX, even if you are a beginner, because any example in a book will automatically work and no time will be wasted adding extra missing components to the distribution.Four Ways to Install TeX Live on a Macintosh

The flatpak link above should open your software installer and prompt you to install GIMP. Yet it may not work out-of-the-box on some platforms since the flatpak technology is new. If that is the case, ensure flatpak is installed and if clicking the link still does not prompt to install GIMP, then manually install by command line:

GIMP on the Microsoft Store is the same as the direct link installer. If you wish to install through the store, we recommend using the provided store link as our team cannot vouch for third-party packages of our code.

There isnow a support page in the DisplayLink Manager. It includes links to ourDisplayLink FAQs, Knowledge Base and DisplayLink Forum. The last link allowsthe user to raise a support ticket directly from the DisplayLink Managerthrough starting a new email thread with our support.

To run Ventura in a VM you will need a newer Intel Mac. For safety (as I noted) you should use a Mac model which has an Intel processor and is officially supported by Ventura, as listed in the article linked by @ColoradoMarmot, or in brief any 2017 or later Intel Mac model apart from the 2017 MacBook Air.

BTW, I found a customer resolved his issue by installing the driver on his macOS Big Sur, you may check if you can make yours work as well:

Note: this may require to disable the SIP and give the authority of this App on your macOS, which is not recommended by Apple, it's up to you whether you want to try this. 17dc91bb1f
