OK. So You're going to think I'm crazy but...I CANNOT figure out how to save a webform to my homescreen on my Android phone. I already have several forms on the home screen but I am NOT getting the same options to add the new forms to my Homescreen. WHY??

On my Android phone, find the form you want to add to your homescreen. Open the form up. Select the share icon. Select the option from the menu of share options "Copy to Clipboard." Go to your homescreen and open Chrome. Paste the url into your Chrome Browser. Click the menu option once the form loads in the browser... select Add to Homescreen.

I just completed that process on my Android, which someone else showed me at Smartsheet Engage '18. The only problem is you can't push this fix out to other users. I would add all forms to a dashboard and then I only have to worry about people adding a link to the dashboard to their homescreen vs. each and every form.

In Pixel 3 i have no issue. I tried adding twitter home page it worked. I am not sure it is specific to the launcher you have or specific to the website. BTW, can you share what website you are trying to add to home page?

With the new Fiori interface, shortcuts to the most frequent user actions, such as grabbing a receipt with the camera icon, starting and configuring Drive and directly accessing Expense, can be done directly from the home screen.

Use javascript to check the window.navigator.standalone property. If you're launched from the home screen, that property should come up true and if you're in Safari (or another browser) it will be false.

When a user logs into their bank account on mobile, the first place they are directed to is the home screen. It serves as the entry point for navigation and is often the place where users form their first impression of the digital banking experience.

With that importance in mind, Narmi has made a variety of enhancements to the home screen this month. We focused on creating a sleeker and more straightforward user experience that spotlights features that matter most to users.

Through user testing, we uncovered that users could not find what they were looking for on the home page as quickly as we had hoped. There was a lot of information for users to digest, and some felt overwhelmed by the amount of content on one screen.

Use carousels to leave a small footprint. Carousels, or a collection of items in a horizontal scroll pattern, have an important advantage on mobile: they fit a lot of content in a dedicated space, with a relatively small footprint. We leveraged this design tactic to fit items of a similar category, like all AppXchange cards, into an assigned space. This not only reduced the amount of vertical scrolling required but also gave users a clear place to go when looking for something.

While we do not have a stand alone 'native app', users can easily create an app-like shortcut on mobile phones and tablets, which will bring them directly to the alumni community platform.

I had a user ask me how to put their work app calendar widget on their home screen. Looks like there is no way to do this on the phone or in a policy. After Googling it, it does seem like an option for other MDM solutions - like Intune. When will this be available for Sophos Mobile Central - or if it is already possible how do I do this?

But unfortunatelly this work-around does not work (any-more) in Anytypes Mobile Version (Android).

Before a few weeks I found a solution to flush the cache in Anytype but now this is not working anymore:

My navigation is different from my homescreen. I have a widget that recreates the folder system, so everything is under a folder/category. Then I have my notes widget/collection for objects to sort later.

Strangly when your notes widget/colletion is working fine, when you sort them later.

Or do I missunderstood this part.

But maybe I missunderstood something about. As also in the former conversation about the Dashboard/Homescreen.

Bye the way, what you mean with: I have a widget that recreates the folder system, so everything is under a folder/category.

Maybe this is the missing part to create a working Dashboard/Homescreen Solution with set!?

Yes, I have no sorting issues/bug in mobile. But I only mentioned this because you asked about alternatives. What I meant here is that, my notes collection is only for temporary things. Instead of having a collection for everything (as you did with your Favorites), I have a place for quick adds so I know where to find new objects that I have yet to edit/categorize/polish.

Last year we produced an article highlighting our phone homescreens. As digital marketers we are tied to our phones and our home screens reflect it. If you haven't yet, give our article from last year a read for context. It's cool, take your time (when you click this link it will open the article in a new window so you won't lose your place), we will wait for you.

Chris's home screen reflects the fast-paced nature of digital marketing. In keeping up with the times, Chris stopped using separate apps for text messages and Facebook messages, and now uses Facebook Messenger for both, this streamlines his communication proccess and keeps all of his personal messages in one place. Speaking of messages, one app you will notice is recurring on most of our homescreens is Slack. Since the last time we wrote about our home screens we replaced HipChat with Slack. Continuing in the business motif, Chris added a new app called Databox to his homescreen because he uses it several times a week to keep track of our clients' marketing/sales stats (if you haven't heard of Databox, we highly suggest it). For Chris's personal use he has moved Instagram to a top spot on his homescreen. Chris also added a weather app to my homescreen so he doesn't have to manually look up the weather forecast anymore (editors note: if he would just switch Apple he wouldn't have to add a weather app). This year Chris is putting all of those "get fit" New Years Resolutions to shame and he started using a Fitbit, so the app is now on his homescreen. Finally, Chris subscribed to the New York Times to support journalism. If Chris's homescreen updates are an indicator, we will be in for quite the update across the rest of the article.

Most of the changes you can see to my homescreen have come in the reorganization of folders. Also with my new iPhone 7 I have a few more tools at my finger tips such as Keynote, Pages, and Numbers. I have added a Rewards folder where I keep track of my various Rewards apps such as Frontier, Southwest, Wyndham, Ibotta, etc. Outside of the new folders there really are not a lot of updates to my phone. As noted earlier we switched from Hipchat to Slack so you can see that icon in the Productivity folder. One thing you will notice is I do not keep "work" apps such as Google Drive or any of the HubSpot apps on my phone. This is because I have begun using tethering more often if I cannot access WiFi. Tethering has allowed me to stay more connected than ever over the past year. Due to my wife's job I have been traveling more frequently and I maximize my work by using a laptop instead of trying to work on my phone screen which is smaller and can be more difficult to navigate. Last year, I did not have many apps on my phone because I only had 16GB of storage. My new iPhone has 128GB of storage so I would imagine my update next year will feature a significant change in the amount of apps I use because I will have space to be able to use apps more than before.

Laura has quite a few updates, she has split her updates into six different notes to help us keep track (Thanks for that Laura!). First, Laura added King Soopers and 21Day Fix (replacing her Weight Watchers app) to her Meal folder. Second, she added 1st Bank, Venmo, T-Mobile, VirginMobile, and Wallet to her Finance folder. Third, Laura moved all of her social media into one new social folder. The folder includes: Snapchat, Instagram, Pinterest, Nextdoor, Slack, GroupMe, Team App, and Messenger. Fourth, Laura has some new additions to her Travel folder: she added Southwest airlines, uber, & a compass. Fifth, she added OverDrive for reading books & WunderList. Finally, she moved YouTube to front page and moved Dictionary into Games category. Laura also has a second homescreen page but she does not use them much -- Mazda Assist & MyMazda for her new car (Congrats!). Fox 31 News channel, and Companion app which is a safety app for walking home alone. 17dc91bb1f
