Hi, many years ago (about 2001) I was able to open "WordStar4" documents in "Word" using a text converter (wdsupcv.eve), but with all the changes to "Microsoft Office" and "Word" I no longer have the converter and I can't therefore open my old "WordStar4" documents. Download the WordStar converter pack for Microsoft Word (a link is provided in the Resource section). Save the file, which is labeled wdsupcv.eve, to your desktop and double-click to open it.

Open the directory containing text converters by running this string: "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Textconv." Run the string by clicking "Start" and then "Run" in older versions of Windows. Paste the string by right-clicking and selecting "Paste." Then select "Run." In Windows 7, click "Start" and paste the string in the box entitled "Search programs and files." Do not click "Search"; wait for the folder titled "TextConv" to appear and double-click it.

Unfortunately I never did get a reply from Abigail (who originally replied to me question) with the link. I managed to find a free on-line converter which I use instead. It's a bit more work, but it works.

I've created a form where responses populate a word doc template and create a file in SharePoint. This all works fine. The next step should convert the document to a pdf, but I get an error that says --The selected file doesn't exist, please select a valid file and drive. clientRequestId: 0b8924ab-4efe-47c3-991e-a8672fc6386e-- at the 'Convert Word Document to PDF step', However, it does exist. I realize this was a long time ago, but I faced similar issues and really needed to avoid One Drive. My process worked, finally, and here was the solve: In the Convert Word step, in File it should be / then the Name output from the create file in sharepoint step (it wants a path to the file relative to the document library root). I also needed to be sure the filename when I then saved the converted document back to SharePoint wasn't just the Name output, because I just get a word doc because that is the filename when I created the first Word doc. So I needed to ensure the filename is just recreated and instead of .docx on the end of it, place .pdf. Works great. Thanks, Kev

I'm new to apple products and i'm struggling to find how i convert a pdf file to word. On a PC the option automatically popped up on the file or edit and right click. There is no right click on a mac from what I can see and there is no option in file or edit.

I think that You will need an extra application like Adobe Acrobat. Converting PDF to Word is not so easy (on any OS). I tried this once on a Windows PC, but the result was so bad, that I gave up. I don't know how many documents You have and what You need them for. But sometimes it is just quicker to just copy the text from the PDF and to paste it in a word editor and to edit it there.
