Download Microsoft Edge Webview2 Runtime (x64)

I have 2 users whose Outlook starting having issues recently. When they double-click on an email or even a contact, Outlook does not open the message or the contact in a new window. It only opens the message in the preview screen, not its own window. Double-clicking on a contact does nothing. I have disabled all add-ins, created new profiles, updated Outlook, rebuilt cache files, all with no luck. I found some information on Microsoft Edge Webview2 runtime, and uninstalled it. Outlook functioned as normal immediately afterwards. One of the users was on Office 365 and the other was on Office 2016, which I upgraded to Office 365 during the troubleshooting phase. When the users started complaining that the issue came back, I found that webview2 had been installed again. I found the setting on the Office 365 admin screen that is supposed to prevent webview2 from installing again, unchecked it, but it reinstalled onto one of the systems the next day anyway.

But yeah, i have to get rid of "Microsoft Edge webview2 runtime" for sure, because i use paint 3D a lot and the flashing colors are insufferable... and i have no use for this service whatsoever, my pc ran just fine without it for years now (i really kind of expect Macrium Reflect to have installed this, because the date correlates exactly with when i installed Macrium, and otherwise it makes little sense this "service" would just install randomly by itself)

I haven't tried it myself, but I took a look at the documentation ( -us/microsoft-edge/webview2/ ). Based on that information, it appears you could use the .NET Windows Forms version of the control, especially since it supports the ("old") .NET Framework 4.6.2 or higher. LabVIEW supports hosting assemblies in that version of the CLR so there's a good chance you could make it work if you meet the runtime and OS requirements.

I just got this working. I followed what Microsoft says here and installed the runtime. I then downloaded the webview2 package from the nuget repository. Once that was done i change the nupkg extension to .zip and then unzipped it. I then added a .net control on the LV front panel. I linked it to the webview2 control, and shown below is the block diagram with some comments. e24fc04721
