Enough of that, now. As many "render clouds to make marble!" tutorials as there have been (and been locked), this one is different from the rest in one respect: it uses levels. Plainly, levels is a tool with much potential, but nobody uses much, so it's nice to have another tutorial here that incorporates it. Great work!

In many ways there are a lot of things a bot can help with ... in this case I dont think this is a language barrier issue at all, but a simple bot that helped us out. Upswing is that you opted to use it's response in a great way to add more depth to the base texture concept.

Found it odd just now that there wasn't more actual texture variations on the basic marble patterns (PDN google based results). Lots of examples here and there, but I guess that's the PDN numbers game on some levels.

Here an example with no cut on the sphere.

I use a icosaedron sphere of my own. You have to specify the maximum number of vertices. Here less than half a million. I put many choices. All the equations are in C# to go faster.

Sphere is radius 1, so as noise is scale dependant. I advise you to use 1 unit objects, but it is not mandatory. You can lower the number of vertices to go faster.

Hope it helps.

The photographs are very good references, the cinema4ad one is not much good (why use a procedural as a reference for creating a procedural simulating a real world material??)

So based on the photographs you need diffuse BSDF, subsurface scattering and translucent BSDF.

After you get these three adjusted, maybe a Glossy BSDF - depending on the amount of polish you want to put on your marble. Finally a little bit of noise texture might be appropriate for all the shaders, but just a little - Carrara is smooth and uniform.

Brighten up your space with this shimmering, stone inspired wallpaper. Its distressed texture softly shines with metallic details, while its brilliant ivory hue adds to its glamorous style. Marmor is an unpasted, vinyl wallpaper.

That means you need an image of the marble that covers an area at least as large as the floor. In reality it would be exceedingly difficult to get a single piece of marble that big and even more difficult to install it successfully. A better option would probably be to have multiple images of mable the same color to use to make the tiles.

According to the tutorial on "Ryan King Art" YouTube channel called "Procedural Marble Material (Blender Tutorial)" I am trying to create a marble material. The second material, Dark Marble, produces a pink texture error. This happens when connected to the Height input of the BUMP node. When connected to the Normal input, everything draws well. What can I do in this situation? Blender version 2.93.

Wall Finishes has an exotic blend of warm and welcoming textures. Featured in this collection are highly realistic materials such as herringbone, metal screen, grass cloths, sisal, marbles, and weaves. There is something here for you to escape to nature within your home.

For the material lovers, marble rock is typically composed of an interlocking mosaic of carbonate crystals resulting from metamorphism eg. the change of minerals or geologic texture of sedimentary carbonate rocks, most commonly limestone or dolomite rock.

Modern design and stone masonry are just one of the many applications of digital marbles as we experienced last fall when the Substance 3D assets team worked on a collection of ancient marble specific to the Greek and Roman eras.

Archaeological visualization in 3D is an exciting new use case for photorealistic materials. The objective here is not very far from the needs of textures and materials that a level artist can have to faithfully reproduce the environment of a historical video game.

This is what we are aiming for with this collection of antique marbles: to get as close as possible to reality in terms of the level of detail of the marble vein while offering maximum control to customise the main attributes of the material.

In this case, a procedural asset can be considered as a generator not of one type of marble but of all variations of an entire vein in the same way that marble quarrymen excavate a real vein in the ground.

Identical marble tiles will be spotted immediately if the material replicates 4 or 5 times across the surface. In order to avoid this visual defect, the materials include parameters that enable you to control the rotation of the marble vein of each tile, adding this extra randomness.

I agree with Sandra. I also think extra icing was added after the step Sandra mentioned, in a couple of layers to create a raised effect you would see in a slab of marble or granite. Then colour dusts used to highlight the lines and crevices to make them pop.
