I have access to two different linux machines where my home folder is mapped via nfs. I am trying to simulate the same design on those two machines at the same time. The only difference is say, on one machine I am running a two tone test and on the other machine i am running a one tone test. The design I am simulating contains huge amount of parasitic components and when spectre runs, it generally consumes all the available RAM, thats why i am using two different machines instead of using ADE-XL and running different tests in parallel.

The problem now is, say on one machine, my ADE L is open . Now, when on the second machine, I open ADE-L, it shows that the simulator is AMS instead of Spectre. If I try to load the saved spectre state, I get a warning message saying simulator is different and only common options will be loaded. Only way to fix it is to restart the virtuoso.

I suspect that you've either got a cdsenv variable (in a .cdsenv file or set in a .cdsinit file) to set the default simulator to AMS somewhere, or you are opening the config and then hitting the ADE button in the hierarchy editor (this currently always opens ADE with the simulator as AMS).

Your solution is to either change the simulator before loading the state in ADE (Setup->Simulator) - change it back to spectre and then load the state. That should work. The other alternative (if the state is stored as a cellView in the library) is to double click on the state cellView in the library manager and it will open it directly (with the simulator and design that was in use at the time the state was saved).

Hi I have setup Xamarin on my visual studio on windows and I created my first app. Now I want to run it on simulator. I set my iOS project as the startup and ran it (I have connected to my mac mini using hotspot). When I run it, it starts the simulator on my mac instead of starting a simulator on my windows machine. Thank you, your advice is very helpful for me. I got the same error with shaning. the root cause is i didn't start tcp input that pointing to geoevent simulator port. once tcp input started, the simulator working as well. thanks

For regular as well as frustrated and disordered 2D lattices, the machine finds the correct solution within just a few milliseconds. We determine that calculation performance is limited by freeze-out effects and can be improved by controlling the DOPO dynamics, which allows to optimize performance of coherent Ising machines in various tasks.
