The reason we tell people not to record the BeatBuddy is because usually it is best to use the BeatBuddy live in conjunction with the Aeros, but you can record anything to the Aeros, think of it as a computer-less DAW, you can record anything you want, if your purpose is to capture ideas, feel free to record the BeatBuddy to the Aeros as a drum track.

Read the loops section of the help area and our terms and conditions for more information on how you can use the loops. Any questions about these files contact the user who uploaded them. Please contact us to report any files that you feel may be in breach of copyright or our upload guidelines.

Thanks! Well the idea sort of came as an extension to my drum groove and loop library at my Bandcamp site. That library is made up of loops and grooves that I have recorded over the past year specifically for that site. As far as the custom drum loop gig on Airgigs goes, I thought it would be a cool idea to offer people a cheaper alternative to the full song recording price. Also, people may just want a couple of loops of a certain vibe or style to write over. On the other hand, a client may want me to record a loop that fits nicely over a pre programmed drum part to give the final track some life. I have also had some custom drum loop orders on Airgigs to replicate a specific drum groove for a living room cover band. So the work can vary a bit, but all of the transactions have gone smoothly.

It can be fun and challenging depending on the session. If the client has done a good job with a performance I am overdubbing drums to, my job can be very fun and rewarding. If I am recording over a poorly performed demo, I can only do so much to try and make the track happen. If the performance of a demo is poor, I would recommend letting me just track the song with a click or programmed drum pattern (Or with just the tune in my head and no click). In this case, the client would overdub his parts afterwards.

Each Drummer Loop is played by a specific drummer. You can add Drummer Loops generated by different drummers into the same project, but there are some limitations. First, you can only add Drummer Loops to an existing Drummer track if it's of the same type (Acoustic, Electronic, or Percussionist). If you drag the Drummer Loop to a track played by a different drummer, Logic Pro automatically creates a new Drummer track with the drummer assigned to that loop. Second, adding Drummer Loops from multiple Drummers to the same track may cause the loop to sound different from the preview. The drum kit changes and the new drummer will interpret the settings in its own way.

Have you been dreaming of creating professional electronic music compositions for a long time? Do you want your sound to be as high quality as famous DJs and producers? Then you need quality samples and sound loops to help you achieve a professional sound.

Samples are sound recordings that you can use as a basis for your music. Samples can be anything from single sounds (like drums and guitar chords) to loops that can be used as the basis for rhythms and melodies.

My question for all you iPad musicians who use drum loops in a DAW. As a general rule, you tend to use a MIDI track to drive external apps to create drum loop sounds, or do you just record the audio output of the external drum machine directly into an audio track, and then copy and paste drum loops to create a song? When using Audiobus, if BPM of the DAW matches the BPM of the drum machine do audio drum loops clips tend sync up with correctly with other instruments in a song?

A mix of both approaches. MIDI sequences to start with while developing the structure of the track. Eg get the kick and bass working before going back and adding snares and hats. Add lead. Go back and adjust or add to drum track. Once I'm happy that a section is where it needs to be, bounce to audio and move on to the next section.

Typically things sync pretty well just by matching tempo. My preferred drum machine is now iMPC pro. When it is driven off a MIDI track it syncs really tight. A simple test is a kick on the beats and a bass line on the off beats. You'll know straight away if it isn't bang on by the feel.

Forgot to add, if you are wanting to record patterns you have programmed in iMPC Pro, follow the step above for creating the map of the pads, but use your pattern and then switch to your blank template for playback. Using them together this way is good for creating a MIDI part that can be copied, moved and edited in Cubasis for arranging tracks. Otherwise you have to create your song structure twice, once in each app, which is a pain if you decide part way through that you want to rearrange things. It's probably more efficient than programming all your loops in Cubasis MIDI editor as the timeline editor in iMPC pro is quite nice.

This is true, especially if you are syncing pattern sequencers in different apps. I was struggling with finding a way of programming drum patterns in Cubasis to trigger the sounds in drum apps without getting terrible latency. In that instance, I'm not looking to use MIDI clock, just a reliable MIDI routing. Once I got iMPC Pro sorted it worked a treat. Before that I was trying with DM1, but whenever I switched back to DM1 and went to the mixer or fx tabs the audio was breaking up.

This FL Studio tutorial details how to compose a basic drum beat or loop.

FL Studio, formerly known as Fruity Loops is a music production interface for the pc. This lesson shows how one would go about making a song in FL Studio.

In this video, we learn how to make 50 Cent-style drums in Fruity Loops. First, you will need to have the 50-cent drums software to use in Fruity Loops. After this, use the different drums that will be on the left hand side to create different sounds. Test them out and then add them together until you have a beat that you like. Change the pattern of the drum beats and the tempo, then change the volume if you want to as well. After this, you can play through your entire beat and then edit more if you'd like. Save this when you are finished. 006ab0faaa
