Everytime I open league of legends launcher I get massive performance drops and CPU usage numbers in the 90-100% range until updates are finished and i click play. This has been consistent since the latest update. I guess my question is does anyone know how to fix this or is anyone else having the same issues I am. This may have been mentioned before as I haven't been playing much this month and if so I apologize for the re-post.

Seriously idk why we have a Launcher in order to launch the launcher of league of legends.

Even more, why im forced to download TFT while i just dont play it ???

Maybe i could download LOR but i have it on my smartphone, but its annoying to click and wait more for launch lol.

IDK how to add an image, so i can gave u this link ->

Why is the launcher worst than the own game ??

Hi! I made some progress, I was looking through the log files created by OW, and found this line in one of the trace files:

2021-03-30 12:39:59,849 (INFO) [OverlayService ID 14] GamesManager - Not injecting into launcher: 109021 because Overlay is disabled for this game under the game settings

The launcher is a platform for PVP.net to launch from. It checks to see the status of the League of Legends servers, the launcher makes sure the League of Legends and PVP.net files are up-to-date and it also provides links to recent announcements from Leagueoflegends.com.

An updated launcher was released on May 3, 2011, after some months in beta testing, to solve some of the issues users were having with patching. It is in fact able to fix data corruption, and is overall far more reliable, with more descriptive messages in case of error. The new launcher also stores information about older releases, so that it can launch previous versions of the game. This feature is required to have a replay system that doesn't break with new content releases.

You need an account for every region. Its not possible to log in with your EU-West account to the EU Nordic & East servers, same for all other regions. Players can only transfer to other regions if they pay Riot Points for it. The price is different for every region. Remember that if you transfer, you will lose your account on that region, and it will be go to that other region. Attempting to log onto an account in the incorrect region will result in the launcher closing and the next time you launch the game, the region will change to the one intended for the account.

I can't launch any of the games I normally play (eg. Starcraft 2 unable to load from battle.net launcher; League of Legends game unable to launch after champion select in lobby, etc.). After disabling BD advanced threat detection, the games work just fine. Adding the game folders and the game .exe's to the exceptions list does nothing. Can you please investigate?

I have the same problem when I launched league of legends today it's fine till the champ select when the match begins it doesn't launch the league of legends.exe but shows in task manager with only 48 mb memory usage. But it works fine when I disable Advanced Threat Defence.

I am also having the same issue. Battle.net launcher with Heroes of the Storm. Creating exceptions does not work. I made excptions for all components of BitDefender for both the entire directory and all specific executables for both battle.net launcher and heores of the storm. Game hangs HARD on spash screen. Cannot Alt-F4, cannot End Task. Only thing that works is disabling advanded threat protection completly in BitDefender.

After champ select ends my pc just does not want to open any new programs even new chrome tabs, but anything already open works perfectly fine, usually after 3min the league client opens and after that everything else that i tried to open in that time. i also added every single .exe that i found in the league folder but nothing seems to work.Disabling exploit detection fixes the problem

I'm also having trouble running League of Legends. It takes about 2 minutes for the main game to start even after adding the executable to the exclusions list. The launcher works fine, however. I'm running the latest build 26.0.34.145

I've been running into a small issue with my league installation running with wine lately, where I'm confronted with a black login screen (launcher is working fine). I'm not really sure what's causing this since I was able to play flawlessly a couple of days ago. This is what it looks like:

but I couldn't find a solution with google. I initially got it working following the nice wiki entry here and soft linked my windows partition with the LoL folder into my wine dir. The wiki mentions libgl packages for a black launcher but they are all installed. The command I use to launch is:

The Riot launcher installs correctly, and the game seems to install properly too, however when I click play to start the game, the splash screen appears briefly, and then nothing happens. The launcher acts as if the game has started and then stopped.

League of Legends has teamed up with Nerf to create a limited edition version of Fishbones, Jinx's iconic rocket launcher from the game and animated series. The product, which was unveiled on the official League of Legends YouTube channel, is now available for pre-order.

Teaming up with Nerf, the team behind League of Legends now present fans with a pricey solution in the form of Jinx's very own Fishbones rocket launcher from the game and series. Retailing at $170 as part of the Nerf LMTD series, the iconic weapon features a 18-dart drum and fires three foam bullets at a time. Jinx's trusty weapon is currently available to pre-order exclusively on Amazon until January 3, 2023, though it will not ship until December 1, 2023, making it a great next-Christmas-gift for fans awaiting a second season of Arcane. The weapon, which is more for display than constant use, measures an astounding 35" in length and features posable jaws.

Nerf LMTD is a premium, fan-focused line from the Nerf brand that brings you some of the most iconic items from entertainment and video games. Jinx is one of the most popular characters in League of Legends. This loose cannon lives to wreak havoc with blasters that unleash the loudest blasts and brightest explosions, especially with her beloved rocket launcher dubbed "Fishbones." Jinx gleefully brings her own chaotic brand of pandemonium wherever she goes, and you can do the same with the Nerf LMTD Jinx Fishbones blaster, which is inspired by her blaster in LoL. The 18-dart capacity drum has 6 clusters of 3 darts, so you can blast enemies with a 3-dart burst each time you pull the trigger. Includes 18 Nerf Elite foam darts and a Jinx-style display stand. Everything comes in premium, display-worthy packaging. The mouth manually opens to access the drum. Eyewear recommended (not included). No batteries required.

The launcher fires NERF Elite Foam darts in three-round bursts from an 18-dart capacity drum out of its articulated mouth. The item's packaging features a display-conscious design, such as a stand and an art-covered box. Fishbones is the latest part of NERF's LMTD product line, which features dozens of other crossover launchers. The design inspiration comes from one of Jinx's in-game abilities from League of Legends, called Fishbones, the Rocket Launcher.

NERF LMTD is Hasbro's line of collaborative dart launchers that typically sell in limited runs for a short time. Pre-orders for Fishbones opened on Nov. 14, exclusively sold on Amazon for $169.99, and will officially release on Dec. 1. The series also includes guns from other franchises, such as Phasers from Star Trek, Boba Fet's blaster from Star Wars, the Needler from Halo and the M41-A rifle from Aliens. The line is part of Hasbro Pulse, the company's online store specifically designed to cater to fans of various Hasbro brands.

The League of Legends character Jinx has a rocket launcher called Fishbones, and the name is appropriate: It's basically a big, shoulder-mounted shark. And if you've ever thought to yourself, "Yes, I too would like a massive predatory fish-gun in my life," the fine folks at Nerf may have just what you're looking for.

Launchers are most common in games. Think of League of Legends, Starcraft II, or almost any MMO out there. Before starting the actual game, you have a small launcher app that takes care of updates and patching.

I want to move this direction with a particular non-game application I am developing. The concept of the launcher makes perfect sense: it checks for updates, replaces the appropriate binaries/libraries, maybe runs an integrity check, and launches the application. However, how do launchers update themselves? This tends to be a rare event, but how is it done? Does the launcher literally just write over the very binary it is currently running from? Or is there some kind of swap step after the download? I need to be able to push out (rare) updates to the launcher (especially if I discover some bug in my launcher).
