I think the general consensus among us is that the song is... not their best. Even those that don't mind it, or even really enjoy it can agree with that. But what exactly is the problem here? It can't just be the chorus repeating ad nauseam. Is it the rest of the lyrics as well? Is there something else about the song that I haven't picked up on? Is it too generic? What went wrong here?

In Luna and Luan's room, Luna is hard at work performing a song ("Play it Loud") to submit to the contest America's Next Hitmaker. Before submitting her song, Luna sees the commercial for the contest, which states that the top 5 best songs will be performed by their artists, and the single most popular song will be given a record deal. However, just before hitting the submission button, Luna learns from the commercial the goal of the song is to be sure everyone in the world will love the song. This causes Luna to question if her song is something that the whole world will love. Suddenly, Luna begins hearing her other siblings sing, ranging from...

Hearing all of her family members "sing" their favorite types of music, Luna starts to lose hope, feeling that she will never come up with something the world will love. As Luna plops her head in defeat, she hears some music playing in the hallway. She discovers that it's Lily, dancing to a song on the radio ("Best Thing Ever"). Suddenly, the other family members join in (including the pets, Clyde, Mr. Grouse, and the Casagrandes), dancing to the song. Once the song ends, Luna comes to the conclusion that the world loves bubblegum pop songs, and decides to get to work while everyone else heads off to get a Flippee.

We suffered through our first FDA inspection during our busiest weeks of the year (when an FDA inspector watched everything we did for two weeks!!!!) and lived to tell the tale, plus we learned better ways to separate allergens that will make us a safer and better business.

My home was once on the other coast yet I always managed a visit to the slice of heaven Lagusta created. Then the wind carried me East and I landed back in the area. That same wind lifted me to LL and now I am (primarily) the Shipperman. I marvel at the collective spirit of those around me, such an amazing gathering of people creating the highest grade sweets imaginable. Everyone works at such a mind-bending pace, and everything always gets done and there is always laughter and smiles and positivity. I feel blessed to be included in this wonderful adventure of integrity and solidarity. Especially when there are scraps (Maresa, I see you too). The energy is infectious, the discourse is delightful, and the chocolates, well, you know about them already.

putting small sweet things inside of small colored things putting those things inside bigger sturdy things which in turn are put into even bigger things then sent out into that part of the world that exists contingently with the little utopia flourishing inside the shop, how could something so painstakingly pure continue to live if there were no dichotomous relationship with the thing it actively seeks to defy, i guess i am thankful that the strange discordant part of the world is a thing so that i can ride into my eleventh hour of a work day knowing that the place in which i serve my duty is one marked by upheaval of all that seeks to limit our freedom of selfhood in society. thank you lagusta and every single person involved for being warriors through chocolate and sweets, for creating and sustaining a THRIVING hub of positivity, power, and safety, and for allowing me to be a part of the busy winter season!

ADRIENNE This year there was so much change; the business expanded and new people were added to the LL family. The best part of the year was the way we all grew together to become a team and a family. This is a place where activists and artists can come together to create beautiful things, and I feel so lucky to be surrounded by people who are passionate about what they do.

I love the vintage wallpaper and the Mitzvah Wall. I love the hazelnut sugarplum bars and the corn macarons especially. I love seeing the excitement people have when they discover every single thing in the shop is vegan.

I love our customers so much!!! They are seriously the best and that is not something I say lightly at all. They really are. I love getting to know our regulars and their flavor preferences, and I also love talking to the people who are only passing through.

There's a huge difference between saying: "Hey babe, you are my first and foremost everything and I'll be bummed if you go." And saying: "Welp, you accepted that job in Seattle, so I'm just gonna chug a bunch of nightshade and call it a life."

He respects her so much, he's actually straight-up telling her to smile! Much like Mars' character "Uptown Funk," who appears to get off on angrily exhorting girls to "hit [their] hallelujah." Which, you know, I guess everybody's got a thing.

However, when Bergh washes his jeans in the shower, he does it while wearing them and washing them with soap. The image that the scene conjures is of a cowboy bathing in a cartoon, clothes on and all.

Cristina Martinez: I think for people that create in a very small bubble, I think art is such a sacred thing. And creative people. You know, there's all types of different creatives for me, I spent so many years like just creating for my sanity, and because I had to and so being able to still have that moment with my work. I think what's really special about it is that you do you get to just still be yourself and have those intimate moments with whatever you're doing, whether it's interacting with friends, or, you know, being a mom or cooking or whatever. And then you can document it. And then I'll let people into that space and inspire and connect with people later on. I think that that is a really special tool for a lot of people.

Cristina Martinez: I think more than anything, I hope that my art inspires people to have compassion for each other. We all go through these things together. I like to acknowledge the realness of life and challenges and hardships and things that are unfair. But also to remind my viewers that on the other side of that is better days, bigger blooms, whatever you want to call it. I try to find the little things that are lights in hard parts of life. And I want people to see that.

But has anyone ever said, "You know which 60-something actors look identical? Tom Hanks and Bill Murray." Because they don't look alike. Although, funnily enough, Bill Murray did famously turn down the leads in Hanks' hits "Forrest Gump" and "Philadelphia," but I'm guessing nobody has ever screamed, "Loved you in 'Ghostbusters'" at Hanks as he walked down the street.

When it seems like the night will last forever

And there's nothing left to do but count the years

When the strings of my heart start to sever

And stones fall from my eyes instead of tears

Ten years ago I walked this street, my dreams were riding tall

Tonight I would be thankful Lord, for any dreams at all

Some folks would be happy just to have one dream come true

But everything you gather is just more that you can lose

You think youve seen this town clear through.

Well, well, well, you can never tell.

Nothin here that could intrest you. well, well, well, you can never tell.

Its not because you missed out on the thing that we had to start.

"It was the most emotional night that I've ever spent at the Opry in my whole life," Wagoner told Yahoo! Music. "And Dolly, of course, sang that song, "I Will Always Love You," and they had me sitting on a stool, and she just came out and wiped some of the tears away ... She meant it for me and wrote it for me, she said. That's a wonderful thing that she stood there and sang it for the whole world to see. And the evening was unbelievable."

Blackbird red, the wings that spread, winds that turn, a pretty word

Bird of prey, the clothing lay, on the line, and out to dry

Broken fence, and two arms length, spidersilk, and sweet nonsense

Just one key ties everything

Millionaires losin' everything.

Hey, welcome to the other side of life!

There goes the yacht, there goes the Rolls,

But, you get to keep your wife!

And don't forget the automakers

swimming up stream like a trout.

They let the shit the fan

and then they made a plan

We've got a- a lot to drink about.

All the days we've been together

All the days we've been apart

Add up to a bunch of nothing

If I'm not still in your heart

I never want you to be

Just a page in my history

 Someone I used to love

Your voice breathed in my ear

 Or on the telephone

All the tender things we've whispered

 To keep from feeling alone

May they never come to be

Just cold gems set in memory

Of someone I used to love

Look'in back at my background tryin' to

figure out how I ever got here.

Some things are still a mystery to me

While others are much to clear.

I'm just livin' in the sunshine,

Stay contented most of the time.

Yeah, list'nin to Murphy, Walker and Willie,

 Sing me their Texas rhymes.

Chorus

Yeah, That's why it's still a mystery to me,

Why some people live like they do.

So many nice things hap'nin out there,

 Never even seen the clues.

Whoa, but we're doin' fine, we can travel and rhyme.

I know we've been doing our part.

Got a Caribbean soul I can barely control

and some Texas hidden here in my heart. e24fc04721
