I always just buy the 3 PC 1 or 2 year activation code for Kaspersky Internet Security and I've bought it sometimes in Belgium, sometimes in UK and activated all 3 PC's without issue for the past 20+ years

Well my licence expired, bought a new code from an official boxed key at a PC store here in UK for 3 PC's 2 years of KIS. Activated my two PC's in UK no issue now trying to activate my PC in Belgium and it is saying code invalid for region??? Since when are Belgium and UK not the same activation region and why does it say region (country), that's two different things. Is it region OR is it country? If it is country, since when are keys country bound that's ridiculous!!!

That's impossible as just last year I bought a UK key and used it in UK and on my Belgium PC without any issue so it IS a new thing that a UK key cannot be used in Belgium and if that is the case then this will be the end of me being a Kaspersky customer as those are both in the same region and yet now suddenly you are saying I can't use a UK key on my Belgium PC which is a NEW restriction in 2022 as I activated a license in 2021 without any issue!!!

Above comment from @Schulte is correct. Are you running an UK version ? My location is Belgium and I run the latest UK versions with a license purchased on the Kaspersky Netherlands online shop. Also licenses purchased on the global Kaspersky store have no regional restrictions , Kaspersky Technical Support is your best option.

An activation code is a code you receive when you buy a license for a Kaspersky application. It consists of 20 digits and is divided into blocks in the following way: ---.

Kaspersky Standard, Plus, and Premium do not require activation codes. After purchasing on the Kaspersky website, the subscription will be automatically added to your My Kaspersky account. The application will be activated automatically after you download and install it.

The validity period of the activation code is the period during which you can activate the application with this code. If an activation code has never been applied to the Kaspersky application, its validity period is unlimited, unless otherwise stated on the box or the website when purchasing.

A number of devices on which you can activate the application is determined in the license. For example, if the current activation code covers 5 devices, you cannot use the license on 6 or more computers at the same time.

I just wanted to start VS Code on Windows Subsystem Linux but VS Code updates automatically. The issue is a certificate which VS Code wants to access but it is blocked by kaspersky. Kaspersky is installed on Windows 10. I have the Total Securiy Version. Does somebody have a hint? What should I change?

I found a website which looks legit or like a very good scam but anyways. There is multiple activation codes on the website which were activated years ago (around 2012) and still works and is still valid till 2023/2024. Im able to activate the code and use kaspersky but is there a risk involved?

In a previous blog, we dissected the method used by Sunburst to communicate with its C2 server and the protocol by which victims are upgraded for further exploitation. Similarly, many other security companies published their own analysis of the Sunburst backdoor, various operational details and how to defend against this attack. Yet, besides some media articles, no solid technical papers have been published that could potentially link it to previously known activity.

While looking at the Sunburst backdoor, we discovered several features that overlap with a previously identified backdoor known as Kazuar.
