The issue with my kaspersky administration server is that after successfull installation of kapersky server and all other required policies and agents almost 595 computers gets all the updates from kaspersky administration server they were running smoothly communication was great. All of a sudden my administration server crashed and my badluck that i had no backup i reinstall the administration server and connect activer directory and created policies as well tasks for communication with client pc but the issue is this that kaspersky administration server is not communicating with those clients which already had network agents and kes. I want a solid solution for this problem that my those 595 pcs get connected to administration server automatically. Thanks looking forward

So far the new rollout of Kaspersky v10 has been painless but I have run into an issue. I am trying to deploy the network agent to the owners laptop and every time it returns an error saying that the "the computer is probably disconnected from the network."

Update - as I was typing this I rebooted the Kespersky server and it allowed me to install the network agent and uninstall symantec but now I am getting the same error trying to deploy the Kaspersky client to the laptop.

more troubleshooting - I modified the task settings under "Force download of the installation package" and removed "Using microsoft windows resources by means of administration server" but kept"Using network agent" and now the client remotely installed successfully.

I see this in the program list on my office laptop. I believe it is the antivirus software installed by the official networking staff but I don't see where it is in my windows. I never see any updates or pop-ups.

We use Kaspersky in our network as well. Kaspersky Network Agent is the agent installed on client machines to report back to the security center (or the central point of command for your IT staff) The Agent itself is not responsible for the AV. Its simply the means to which the Endpoint manager(the AV on the system) can communicate with the Security Center server.

The reason you can't see the agent is because its a background service. Its just controlling and issuing the policies to the Endpoint Manager. Now if you can't see the endpoint manager it is possible for the IT staff to hide this with the "Self-defense" options. The IT staff where you work obviously does not want you tampering with the Endpoint manager and they would surely see the Audit arise in the Security Center if you did. For good reason though. Kaspersky will aide(not eliminate) in helping reduce your laptops attack surface and preventing possible compromise.

If you feel that only the agent is installed( and verified you don't see the signature "K" symbol in the task tray), it might be wise to call your IT department and ask if the system is being protected. Surely if they were using Kaspersky they could view the managed systems and see that your device is unprotected, if the agent is functioning and communicating properly.

I have tried to install the agent on a specific device which is the client, and an error occured "Access to resource Admin$ or to the service manager on the client computer is blocked for the account under which this task is running".

I have a question for the Kaspersky users here. I was trying to trouble shoot an error a user is having (she is showing to not have the network agent installed on the Security Center, but when trying to install it shows an older version is installed).

Sorry I forgot to mention the test steps I have done. I have run klnagcheck (it is reporting to the Administration Server's DNS name). I have also removed the workstation from the Security Center, rediscovered it by running the poll, and placing it in the correct group. I let it sit over night to see if it would clear up the issue, but it hasn't. It is now showing that the network agent, and AV aren't installed. When I try to push the EP Security 10 with Network Agent, I get an error that an older version of the network agent is installed.

I need help to uninstall the Kaspersky v.12 network agent. I need to understand how I create a script the uninstall line is MsiExec.exe / I {0F05E4E5-5A89-482C-9A62-47CC58643788} / l * v "C: \ Windows \ Temp \ $ klnagent-uninstall.log" ff782bc1db
