Secada, who had concerns about a scarcity of original material, sensed and urgency to demonstrate to record executives his artistic essence. He contacted Miguel Morejon and they secluded themselves in a period of intense emotional exhilaration, and wrote several songs. They considered "Just Another Day" the most exciting of these; the song was completed in 30 minutes and they both considered it as the album's title track.[1] Secada felt Morejon played an important role in his artistic growth as a musician. Phil Ramone produced "Just Another Day" and "Angel", and Secada expressed his gratitude for having him produce both tracks.[1] Secada believed "Just Another Day" is a testament to his emotional state during that period of his life, and that it represents a vibrant mixture of heartfelt sentiments.[1] The song was recorded at Crescent Moon.[3] Recognizing the market potential, Jose Behar approached Koppelman and requested the possibility of Secada recording a Spanish-language version of "Just Another Day".[1] Gloria provided backing vocals on "Just Another Day"; it was her first time providing backing harmonies for another artist. Gloria also well as co-wrote the Spanish version of the song, which is titled "Otro Da Ms Sin Verte".[2] Secada felt Gloria was instrumental in translating the track.[1]

The chorus reveals the extent of the narrator's emotional pain and the difficulty in facing each day without their loved one. I also love how vulnerable he is in this song. He just totally wears his heart on his sleeve. No pride, just pure passion and need. Love the tune, the words and the way he sings it. (you can tell i reeeeally love this song lol) Theres something extremely sad about the sound of this song, its heart breaking.

It's a great love song by a great artist with a smooth voice. And what's interesting to me is that he used the "give us a chance to make it" in his first song off his new album, "Window To My Heart". Brilliant singer. I'd never want to have a day without my lover...even when I'm not beside her, I still think about her. It's only "just another day" when they're not ACTUALLY together.

I think the song is obviously about someone he deeply cares for, and whenever they are not together, he just cant take it. He wants to hold onto everything they have. To me its a very touching song. I can relate. 2351a5e196
