I've been struggling with a bell sound on my macbook air. I can't identify the cause. There's no accompanying notification, just the sound of the bell. Occasionally happens when I log-in, also sometimes on the hour or half hour.

I had the same problem. I never noticed the bell until today but I did notice none of my daughters text would alarm. I did all the above and nothing. After trying different things I was able to fix it. Go to your text messages- the main page with a list of all your texts from everyone. On the one that has the bell with the line thru it- press on that converasation/contact for about 2 seconds and it will remove bell and you will be able to get notifications. Dont let it go into that conversation with the contact, you have to press and hold over the contacts name not the arrow to the right.

Want to add that extra dark and creepiness into your everyday life even if you are away from Yharnam? Now you can with the ringing of the small resonant bell as your ringtone, to hopefully have it resonate out there and find a fellow Hunter beside you.

The church bells are not a standard Apple notification sound. For the first day, we thought there was actually a church in the neighborhood that had started sounding the time with a very loud tower bell.

For some reason my volume up/down side buttons will move the white line on screen up and down, but the bell icon remains red with a slash through it. In settings The volume is full on. How can I fix this as no sounds are played as a notification?

I took out my very old iPhone se (1st gen) and started using it again, it is supposed to be compatible with iOs 15. When I get text or email it vibrates very gently, like I can feel it if I'm holding it in my hand, but no notification sounds, no ringtone when I get a call.

Has anyone been able to set a custom alert tone on their Android phone for the doorbell? I don't want it to be the same as my texts. Seems like it should be an easy thing to do within the Home App, but I couldn't find it there nor when I went thru my phone settings.

Yes, I have done this. The notification setting isn't in the Google Home app, it's in the Settings>Notifications>App Settings area. Once there, find the Google Home (it's under just "Home") and scroll down to "Doorbell press notifications". There you can change the sound and other things like vibration and pop up notifications. I've set mine to "Royal Fanfare", You can also change the notification for just people who come to the door, but don't press the doorbell button - that's "presence sensing notifications". You can make it the same sound or something else.

I will generally say that I have personally seen a lot of Samsung device users have some issues with notifications. However, there is no such option to have a custom ring tone for our Doorbells. It gives you just the default tone and nothing more. Please leave your feedback or feature request on the app.

5. Scroll to the notification sound you want to change. We are all interested in the Doorbell press sound on your phone, so scroll down to "Doorbell press notifications" and tap on the vibrating bell icon on the left.

Kudos for the detailed steps. This will be very beneficial for anyone who has this question. On my phone (Pixel 6), I can also set the notification for when the Camera detects someone. That's great for deliveries as they don't usually press the doorbell. It also alerts me when the deer are eating my landscaping shubbery!!!

I recently bought the WH-1000MX2 noise cancelling headphones. I noticed when I first turn the headphone on, and start listening to music, anywhere from 1 min to 4 mins, I hear a bell sounding noise. I think it must be a notification but when I look at my phone, there are no messages or notifications at all. The bell sounding noise only happens once and then I don't hear it at all. If I turn it off, and turn it back on, again, I heard the bell sounding noise once again, after couple of mins, and then all good. Anyone knows what this sound is?

I'm experiencing exactly the same thing. I'm listening to music over bluetooth and I hear a notification bell and the music volume temporarily lowers but there is no notification event on my phone (Google Pixel 2 XL). It happens about once every hour or two.

The headset has a function that changes the sound from NC to ambient depending on if you are moving around or what kind of environment you are in - it has a bell sound. Maybe that is what you experience? It made me very confused until I realized that this feature exists. You can switch the whole function off in the mobile app but you cannot switch off only the bell sound notification. So that's an improvement idea for Sony.

Ok. Flipped every switch in multiple combinations and permutations I could dream of. No joy. Although you are correct in turning off VOIP does provide a notification. I wish WYZE would segregate notifications of devices with the app. I already receive so many camera notifications it will be so easy to miss the doorbell notification. I clicked and it did open the app to the live view doorbell just like I wish the VOIP version would do (as it used to do). VOIP still locks up the call and will not allow the unmuting of the mic nor the hang-up of the call. I really appreciate your help trying to resolve this. I probably need to get a WYZE rep on the phone and talk through this. Thanks.

The Charming Bell ringtone/text notification tone that is available in WhatsApp on Android is absent in iOS. I have saved it as an Apple ringtone and imported it to my iPhone 6 using iTunes but WhatsApp will not see it. The best I can do is set the tone as the text ringtone for incoming SMSs. Any suggestions?

This is happening to me as well. I can't believe that the "new technology" is providing this inferior service. In addition, the dial tone notification (fast beeps) that I used to get when there was a voicemail, no longer works with the Hub 4000 either. After spending much time on the phone with Bell, they finally admitted it was because of the "new technology" and you only get a flashing light for a message now. Great if your phone has a light!

I was experiencing the same problem and after resetting the notification (which is now 4-1-2) several times, I called Bell. After much time on the phone I was advised that the new Hub4000 (Fiber Optic Line) does not support Message Notification in the same way. You will now only be shown a flashing light (if your phone has one) and you will no longer having the beeping dial tone as an indicator. Wish they would have advised this before I made the switch.

Why sound is an important aspect of design, designing sounds for notifications, designing sounds for UI elements, and some tips and techniques to get you started. Sound is everywhere, all around us, and we never really pay much attention to it. Church bells have been telling the time for many centuries in countries all across the world, like here in my beautiful home town, Amsterdam. They tell us the time. They tell us where we are. They give us a sense of context.

And what I have here is the housing of a stainless steel Apple watch. Now we can hit that in different ways and see if it makes a sound. . If I hang it up, try a couple times. . Hit it the right way. . It actually sounds quite nice. So we decided to use this as an inspiration, and we used these actual recordings for some of the sounds that are on your watch today, like the notification and the watch ring tone. ff782bc1db
