One minor point about the loading percentage metre. When uploading this 6.1MB HEIC image I found it progressed to 100% relatively quickly, then stayed there for about 50 seconds before completing. That could cause some confusion / cancelling.
This is awesome. A quick question, maybe an obvious one - would it be possible to only have it enabled on images higher than the site limit? Thus, images up to the limit are not processed, but if someone tries to go over it will seemingly downscale it?

if we cancel the message and discard the draft while we were uploading a picture, and then we want to post a new reply, the loading progression is still shown on the composer :

I started use the composer image optimization. I notice if i want to upload more photos then it will activate the reply button after the first image uploaded and only deactivate when the next image optimization finish. If click the reply button in this time then the other image uploads stuck and will compose only the text (processing). I cannot repro here because on Meta change the button quickly but on my site it hang most of the time 10sec or more between uploads. I use the default settings and 3x 3-4MB images
I have a question about mobile uploads. When i upload image from mobile it will not resize the image to the target px width. I think only the quality changes. If i try it on Desktop pc the resize working. Am I missed something? Thanks
Depending on the source of an image, the file could be quite large. A JPG from a professional DSLR camera, for example, could be dozens of megabytes. Depending on your needs, this could be too big. Compressing this image would be very useful.
Likewise, you might have large images on your phone. These images could be taking up a lot of hard drive space and preventing you from taking more photos. Compressing them could free up more internal storage, fixing this problem.
Our tool uses lossy compression to shrink down image files. It supports three file types: PNG, JPG/JPEG, and GIF. This system intelligently analyzes uploaded images and reduces them to the smallest possible file size without negatively affecting the overall quality.
As far as I see all you need is possibility to apply various transformations to images. You can do it in cross-browser manner using combination of SVG/VML technologies. At first you can try to use raphael library for that. Take a look at Paper.image method. For transformations you can use Element.rotate and Element.scale.
A hardware specialist, who avoids software as much as possible, took an interest and has improved on my hardware design, and is now at the point of loading the firmware. I provided him with the firmware image as an S19 file. He uses Windows, downloaded CCS, and is faced with a daunting IDE. I'm not familiar with CCS myself, but looked at the online help and suggested that relevant sections seemed to be:
Emprically speaking, I think the problem was because of the Pypi packages. Some of them was not compatible with the new composer version and this was broking the build. The logs altought didn't let this clear.
If you take a deeper look inside the composer.json file, you may notice inside the require section, that this package also need Guzzle. If you want to install Guzzle, you will again read the sentence "The recommended way to install Guzzle is through Composer". So you have to do the same thing again for Guzzle. This time you need the other two Guzzle dependencies psr7 and promises....
If you don't want to include composer directly inside your project, for what reasons ever, you could also create a empty composer project, just for managing the dependencies and the autoloader. That might be easier to do everything by hand.
To make your images full-width regardless of the height. You need to place the image inside a content band that has no margin and inner container. Then on your shortcode image settings put a width: 100%; on the last field which is the Style.
Most e-mail clients i have seen have a way to resize the images you import inside your composing window, you should be able to grab the corners of a picture and drag it to make the picture smaller while composing an email.
I sometimes make step by step emails with lots of images for visual reference, and it would be nice to just be able to resize the picture I import inside Mailspring without relying on other applications to do it.
Add the following package groups and packages to the %packages section of /usr/share/lorax/composer/tar.ks. Note, that this might get overwritten in future versions. We need to request a bugfix to add these more permanently.
Might this just be an issue with some of our older PHP images? I ran some builds using the image tags currently listed in Docker Hub and Composer seems to be available in those. Just not in circleci/php:7.1.5-browsers as noted above.
However, unlike vector graphics images, raster images lose quality when scaled, and you cannot edit the objects that make up the image. This workshop generates high resolution raster images up to 8000x8000 pixels. Image resolution describes the amount of image detail. Higher resolution has more detail but produces larger files.
Note: The High Resolution Image workshop applies on-demand rendering effects, such as depth of field and shadows, when generating image files and detail views. If you do not want these effects, turn them off before generating workshop output.
Note: You cannot control the zoom of the detail view. You can resize the panel after it is created, but scaling a raster image affects image quality. To create a detail view Image 2D panel with zoom, use Digger. See Digger Commands
Generates images with transparent backgrounds by including an alpha channel. Alpha channels simplify image compositing but increases file size. When selected, saved images are 32 bits (24-bit true color + 8-bit alpha). When cleared, images are 24 bits.In this example, images are inserted into a PowerPoint slide:
Alpha channel disabledAlpha channel enabledNotes:This option applies to PNG, TIFF, and BMP images. JPEG does not support alpha channels. When generating images with Alpha channel and Anti-aliasing selected but without Hardware anti-aliasing, text 2D panels are not anti-aliased.See High quality rendering / On demand.
Specifies the anti-aliasing technique:Jittering - The jittering method is higher quality but takes too long for real-time rendering. Use jittering for single image generation when high quality is required.Multisample - Multisample anti-aliasing (MSAA) is a technique used in computer graphics to improve image quality.
(Available when Jittering is selected.) Specifies the portion of a scene that appears sharp. The image becomes blurred as you move away from the focal point. The higher the value, the larger the depth of field (less blur).
(Available when Markers, Milestones, Views, or 360 Capture is selected.) Specifies thenaming convention for image files. You can specify valid file-name charactersand the following case-sensitive keywords: %filename% The file name specified by File name in the Save As dialog box. %viewname% The view name, as listed in the Views pane. Note:Not applicable to 360 Capture.
another try at the image composer-tried alot of different settings putting each on its own layer and between lowering opacity and masking made a composite plus a bit of mystical tint and tone and other things-think his parents will like it
Have either of you tried printing out these results from Image Composer? I am very interested in this program and have done a little research on it. It seems it's max image is 72 dpi because it really is a program designed to create web images and not necessarily printed images. One of the tuts I found for IC said that before printing image should be upsized 400% and then printed at 25% - not sure I follow the logic here so feel free to explain this.

i printed this as an 8x10-was only 162 dpi -as usual i get started on a picture not thinking that it will work out and i would want to print it so didn't upscale it in the beginning--and didn't check that before printing-but it printed out great on matte paper-colors and detail were great and showed the lighting effect on his face very nicely-have to try upscaling it and seeing if i see a difference but even though they say you can't get a good 8x10 with that resolution, i am more than pleased. I have the filter in photoshop so although it might be processing the filter at that resolution,it doesnt effect my resolution for the psd. I think that it probably means that i am not getting the fullness of the effect-wonder what would happen if i appled the effect twice and played with opacity-that is an interesting fact about image composer but whatever, i wouldn't be concerned if you are working out of photoshop with a high pixel picture. Can you send the information of the tut on image composer-i would be interested in learning more about it.
