My problem:

With my original Ultimaker I have the possibility to print offline via SD Card. I loved this feature because sometimes I carried my printer away in place where I didn't have internet or for example in a classroom, where for 3D exercise more students want to print different things at the printer but don't have access to a global wlan connection.

Now I want to have this solution with my actual setup.

Is there a way to install a Hotspot on my octoprinter so for example (like a hotspot with the smartphone) every student in a classroom can connect with the PC or smartphone to the printer and send prints to Octoprint or check if the actual print is running well?

Hotspot used to work fine , but now after the fall update , whatever i do , it doesn't turn on . the action centre tile shows connecting and settings area shows applying settings . after i close the settings tab and open it through the control panel --> network and internet settings --> mobile hotspot ( the moment i click in it the window freezes)

I have the same problem. The Nighthawk app says "Wi-Fi Router Not Supported" when I try to connect. Yet there are Youtube videos and such of people using the app with the wireless hotspots. I have a Nighthawk MR6500 M6 Pro AT&T Unlocked. Have others connected their Nighthawk hotspots to the app successfully?

Hey Michael- I just tried a hotspot with my Argon and iphone and it connected seamlessly. It should connect as normal as long as all the permissions are correct. Were you using the mobile app for setup?

Thank you for the quick reply. Although I do see this option in the prototype menu on the iOS mobile app, it is unresponsive. Tapping that option does not affect the visibility of the hotspot hints in the prototype.

Your Ring app should operate as intended as long as there is mobile device connection, even if a hotspot is active, however, this can depend on the mobile device variable. As you mentioned using android, please check for any android apps that conflict with the Ring app.
