The Apple Watch Hermes (Series 2) models represent an "iconic collaboration" between Apple and French luxury brand Hermes. Like the original Hermes Apple Watch, this model essentially is a 42 mm 316L stainless steel Apple Watch Series 2 model -- complete with 312x390 OLED display covered by a protective sapphire crystal layer -- but with three exclusive software watch faces in classic Hermes fonts -- Clipper, Cape Cod, and Espace -- and bundled with a choice of Hermes designed watch bands in custom packaging.
All Apple Watch Series 2 devices are controlled with a "Digital Crown" and a Force Touch capable display and need to be paired with an iPhone 5 or newer for most functionality.
All Apple Watch Series 2 models also have a dual core processor, water resistance to 50 meters, and built in GPS capabilities.
Battery life is an Apple estimated "up to 18 hours" overall, but more specifically "up to 3 hours" of talk time, "up to 6.5 hours" of audio playback, and "up to 8 hours" working out.

Apple unveiled the new Watch Series 5 at its iPhone 11 event earlier this month. One of the most notable features was the new always-on Retina Display. Prior to this, watch faces were only visible when tapped. Now, as the name suggests, they're always on. Here are all the watch faces available for the Series 5.
"We probably could have done this digitally, but we actually shot all of this practically in a studio" says Alan Dye, Apple Vice President of User Interface Design, of the motion faces. "What I love about the fact that we did this is that it's just so indicative of how the design team works. It was really about bringing together some of our various talents to create these faces. There are of course art directors, and color experts, and graphic designers, but also model makers who helped build these structures that we would eventually, you know, set on fire."
These are actually my favorite faces for the Apple Watch Series 4, and the fact that they were created this way is a big part of why. They eschew the overload of information found on other faces for some charm and simplicity, showing you just the time and the chosen effect, which would be enough on its own, but they also remind me that despite the watch on my wrist not coming from some alpine workshop filled with loupe-wearing craftspeople, it still has an element of artistry to it that can be extremely enjoyable.

Today at its "Hey Siri" event, Apple announced a partnership with Hermes to create a special Apple Watch collection called Apple Watch Hermes. The new collection will feature three brand new bands and watch faces. The watch bands will include the Double Tour, Single Tour, and the Cuff.
The new Apple Watch Hermes collection will come in 10 unique options for customers to choose from, but the individual Hermes bands will not be sold by themselves. The Double Tour band will be available only in 38mm sizes, due to its more feminine look, and come in four different colors. Both 38mm and 42mm customers will be able to choose from the three color options of the Single Tour band, while the larger Cuff style is offered in one single 42mm leather option.
Pricing wise, the Double Tour collection will cost $1,250, the Single Tour will cost $1,100, and the Cuff comes in at the most expensive mid-tier Apple Watch option yet: $1,500. The collection won't be available to purchase online, and will follow the Apple Watch Edition route and will only be available at specific Apple and Hermes retail locations across the country in October.
