You know the story: a song gets popular for one reason or another, and out of the woodwork comes all kinds of remixes. A lot of it is genuine admiration... but you know that there are thirsty people out there. Something about Pharrell's 2013 single "Happy," though. It moved people. It ended up topping charts across the world, and was Pharrell's first chart-topper as a lead artist. It was even nominated for an Oscar, but lost out to a track from that movie Frozen. Post-Oscars, everyone was pushing out "Happy" remixes, but truth be told, they had been brewing since late 2013. We decided to give you all a reason to smile and provide you with the best remixes of Pharrell's "Happy."

It's hard to tell if John Kim was bullshitting when he said that it was a bicep curl session that sparked this remix, but it's dope to hear him transform "Happy" in a number of ways, from Melbourne bounce to hardstyle to trap. Nothing's too drawn out, but it works.

The Old Money crew's Konrad decided to remix G I R L in its entirety, and his version of "Happy" is kind of turnt. He definitely leaves an 808 base to start, but the way he layers percussion and a hypnotic set of loops, this one gets crazy hype early on. And the switch-up midway is where it's at.

Yanis.S steps up and walks that fine line, bringing this one into the electro house zone with ease. This could be the go-to remix for house DJs looking to bring some happiness to the dancefloor without getting too corny.

!llmind might have been rocking rose-colored glasses while in the studio churning this one out, and we're far from mad. The "boomtrap" remix he provided will make us SUPER happy when we see some able-bodied female breaking it down to this big-bottomed version.

We're not sure if spending time in the studio with Pharrell and Diplo gives him a pass for remixing pharrell tracks, but Carmack applying his signature touch to "Happy" is everything. He found a way to blend some beautiful guitar work with a thumping beat, going all kinds of back porch turnt on us. There's no real rhyme or reason to Carmack's choice of output; he just makes shit that bangs, then shares it with the world. That, above everything else, will make us happy.

On August 30, 2020, Dixie posted a video of herself and Lil Mosey to TikTok, causing rumours about a potential relationship between the pair. It became clear why the two had been rendezvousing when Dixie announced the remix on Instagram the day before its release.

Ohh, I just love Scrappy Goodness!!!! This is such a wonderful way to bust all of those left over charm squares you have or if you cut your scraps into 5" squares you can just go through that pile ;) I remixed the original design by simply adding more blocks and lengthening the sashing to make it a large lap quilt or twin size and of course, I added a dark background. I just love the way the rainbow pops now ;) This Color in the Lines remix quilt finishes at 72" x 85 1/2". (Pattern Adjustment's here)

The remix of "Happy", titled "I'm So Happy", was produced by Santana and features rapper Charli Baltimore and further integrates a sample of "Outstanding".[1] This version was later included on the Murder Inc. remix-compilation Irv Gotti Presents: The Remixes.[2]

The remix comes as Dreamers gear up for a 29-date North American tour that kicks off Oct. 24 in San Diego. The jaunt stretches east before returning to the West Coast for a final show Dec. 6 in Los Angeles.

Songwriter Rivers Cuomo employed free-association when writing "Happy Hour." He knew that the chorus was going to be about wanting a "happy hour" and that the verses would depict the narrator's bleak life. The "20-ton weight" (a reference to the 16-ton weight recurring gag from Monty Python's Flying Circus was described by Cuomo as the "ultimate buzzkill" that first came to mind when writing the verse.[1] The opening lyrics referring to Stevie Ray Vaughan originally made explicit reference to Vaughan being high on cocaine[2], but were later changed.

Which is why we've put together this list of our ten favorite needlessly-massive hardcore remixes of all time. If you're in the mood for music that sounds pretty much just like a swarm of Buckfast-drunk bees repeatedly flying headfirst into a wall then you're in luck!

Let's kick things off with an undisputed classic. We've written about the undeniable majesty of "Pretty Green Eyes" and it's the song that inspires pretty much 96% of the output on this website, being as it is the perfect summation of the sad wonder of UK nightlife at its most sentimental and trashy. Hixxy's remix is as functional as it gets but why would you fuck with a classic? You don't slather Reggae Reggae sauce on battered cod do you?

When you think about it, ignorance really is bliss isn't it? If I never go to the doctors, I'm never going to be ill; if I ignore the letters that my energy provider sends me then I'll never have to pay the bill; if I never turn up to work I can't get bollocked for not being at work. All of which is why I want to know nothing, absolutely nothing, about the mysterious figure behind this perfectly functional hardcore refix of a song that usually makes me think long and hard about just how soft the human skull really is. DJ Finchy, I don't want to know where you're from or what you dream of at night or which member of Hearsay you fancied most as a pre-teen. None of that matters. What matters is that you once spent at least 15 minutes putting this remix together, and an additional five uploading it to YouTube. Because you know that art transcends the self, don't you DJ Finchy. Yes. Yes you do.

Many people know the iconic theme song to Will Smith's famous TV show "The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air." Tik Tok creator Robert Williams filmed a remix to the song, where he completely rewrote the lyrics.

Brooklyn-based electro-duo Matt and Kim have enlisted The Knocks for a brand new remix of their Almost Everyday cut "Happy If You're Happy." Listen to it above via The FADER. The upbeat, choir-backed production is highlighted by an ascending vocal, and soft, tickling percussion.

The Knocks-assisted "Happy If You're Happy" remix is the third rendition of the track released by Matt and Kim this year. The group shared an extended album version with New York-based artist Skizzy Mars earlier this fall.

Today, Danny Elfman (Netflix's upcoming Wednesday) has unveiled a brand new music video for Boy Harsher's remix of "Happy," the latest visual to accompany his recent remix album Bigger. Messier [Anti- / Epitaph]. Complete with unsettlingly saccharine smiles, laughter, and cheerleading choreography that feel like a warped VHS tape unearthed from the deepest depths of the 1980s, the music video brings to life the duo's darkwave pop rendition of the song with the help of directors Muted Widows and Elfman's creative director Berit Gwendolyn Gilma.

In Heartcatch Pretty Cure! Vocal Album 1, as a result of being revealed as an image song so early, a remixed version of the song had been made, entitled Special*Colorful (ULTRA Happy remix) (ULTRA Happy remix, Special*Colorful (ULTRA Happy remix)?).
