I started learning c# monogame a few weeks ago and i wanted to start a project.The project I choose is a brickbreaker clone and everything goes well. But I stumbled on something that I have spent hours looking on google for without a answer.The problem I have is with collision detection between the ball and the bricks.Between the paddle and the ball work I have a working solution.Which is :

The Lightning ball is a ball with the ability to chain a lightning effect to multiple bricks (starts at the next closest brick), hitting all of them for massive damage. The amount can be increased with the Skills Tree.

Upon contacting a brick, the brick takes normal damage from the lightning ball and then triggers a chain effect to the next bricks. The chain always goes to the nearest neighbours of the original brick, but there is no limit to how far away the next brick can be.

The lightning chain is based on damage dealt by the Lightning ball. That means that it does not matter what effects or modifiers the other bricks have, the damage is based on what the Lightning ball dealt to the original brick.

I am currently writing a brickbreaker game in python to teach myself classes and such however I am unable to get the ball to show up. I have the bricks and the paddle, the paddle is moving but not seeing the ball. Any idea why?

I noted that sniper balls is useful when it attempts to target that last few bricks especially shield bricks when you have no sword balls and your ass ball keeps bouncing around missing that one last shield brick

Demo ball vs pierce ball Which is better if you have to pick one ? One does much dmg but slow asf and bounces away while the other wipes out stacks of bricks in its path which typically cost less time to hit the next brick compared to demo. Thoughts ?
