So I just got an amazing apple //e setup (For a rock bottom price of $125!) And everything works, but I would like to take advantage of the duo disk drive. I would like to leave the boot disk in drive one, and put other stuff in drive to. But I can't figure out how to exactly "load" from drive 2. Simply googling hasn't helped much here. So I came here. Thanks in advance.

This all has to do with commands you're typing from the Applesoft BASIC prompt. From within a program of any sort, there will be some method defined by that program to address the second disk (maybe). Not all programs (and even fewer games) bothered to allow you to use two drives.

I'm having a little issue with mounting my external hard drive lately. I've tried quite a few methods in hope of getting it to work again, but so far, no luck. I hope someone can help me solve this issue, or those who have the same problem may also share your insights.

My external hard drive was working fine about a week ago. But one day, I ejected the hard drive and the icon disappeared, so I thought it was safe to unplug it. When I did, it said the hard drive was not properly removed. It still works fine when I use it the next day, but the same thing happened. It said the drive was not properly removed after I ejected the drive, waited for the icon to disappear, and then unplugged the drive. After that, it never works again, and the attached images are the info I got when I tried to mount or run first aid on this drive.

I opened Disk Utility and run first aid on it and got an error (com.apple.DiskManagement.disenter error -119930878.) but after I closed it, it continued running and some minutes later, the drive was fixed and I was able to see it in Finder and use it again.

FIXED!I've had trouble accessing my external LaCie time machine drive for a while now and nothing I had found online has helped. Couldn't mount it, erase it or use first aid on it. Would get failed messages non stop. The only solution that has helped I have, fortunately, found was by this guy on youtube, =Z9y1oRYlmh0. Formatting the container within the disk utility to a MAC OS Journaled had worked and I was able to access the partition anew and then restart the time machine.

I'm having the same problem with my MacBook Pro M1 max. I have a 2TB external drive I was using with Time machine backups that I can No longer mount. Even disk utility won't allow the disk to be erased and reformatted. I would have thought that apple would have the solution by now seeing how so many have encountered this problem. can someone please help????

Can any one help me with this? Has anyone experienced something similar? The iCloud upload is still there and still isn't progressing at all (not sure what its trying to upload anyways since the files were all deleted). My computer is unusable and my files are all gone. I have a Time Machine backup from last week, but I will not have access to for almost 2 more weeks so if there's a way to recover my files sooner and kill this upload task, that would be amazing.

I think Apple needs to put a bit more of a delay in that (e.g. maybe two acceptance boxes). When I clicked on the yes box, I completely forgot that I had several gigs of files in both my corporate and personal Dropbox folders as well as my Onedrive folder. It was the Ondrive yakking at me saying the "default folder has moved" that tipped me off to what was going on. Moving those folders created a bit of a "***" moment. It's all good and the experiece I hope will help others as well as Apple really understand the complexity of moving the contents of the Documents folder to the cloud.

hey, I think there is a way to restore deleted file from iCloud. You can find that option by logging into iCloud from the browser and go to setting. Then you will see restore files. However, the files are only kept for some days (I am not sure how long) before it is permanently removed. Good luck.

It's a bit disappointing reading this every year with every beta. People... if you read this and have not yet installed beta 1 then don't do it. At least don't install it on your primary machine, on your primary hard drive, with your primary apple id and never do it without making an disk image before. (Like with superduper or similar software).

Great! When i force quit "bird" on my Activity Monitor (which was using 99.7% of my CPU), it stopped the transfer and apps stopped crashing immediately on the Open / Save dialogs. It of course restarted the transfer, but now its actually progressing. I also followed advice from yellowchilli and rechecked the box and now my files re-appeared on my Desktop and in my Documents.

The same thing happened to me when I changed my apple id email account. Everything went haywire and icloud deleted my desktop and documents folders. However, when I go into "all my files" in finder, all of the files that used to be on my desktop are in the all my files section.

On SystemPreferences/iCloud/iCloud Drive/Options, I checked the "Desktop a Document Folder". After several hours, all of my D&D files appeared top be on iCloud. However, the disk usage (Unix command du) showed that my mac's disk usage had not changed. Based on further reading, I decided that I didn't want D&D on iCloud, so I copied (or moved?) the files from iCloud Drive to my mac. When I thought they were there, I unchecked SystemPreferences/iCloud/iCloud Drive/Options/ "Desktop a Document Folder". Presto! my files were gone. Both places. Only aliases remained on my mac that couldn't be resolved.

I formatted my external HDD by mistake. This software -drill-3-brings-file-recovery-tools-to-mac-hard-drives recover all my lost data, but it is just free to recover 1gb data, any way, it is money worthy. I've looked for some programs, but all they seem to do nothing, but this software works perfectly.

Hi guys i Think i found out where you can get all the data back (and i dont know why apple would do somthing like this as it is soo stupid) when you chosse to back up your files on icloud (Which i will never do again in the future) a sperate folder is made on you mac calles "icloud Drive (Archive)" it is located in Users > " your computer user name" > iCLoud Drive (Archive) - here you should find all your files that were just deleted ! (well at least i did)

When you store your Desktop and Documents folders in iCloud Drive, you can access files from your Mac on all your devices. That means you can start a document on your Desktop, then work on it later from your iPhone or iPad and on iCloud.com. Everything automatically stays up to date everywhere.

If you want to store your files in iCloud Drive and another cloud storage service, you can keep copies of your files in both, but you can't keep folders from a third-party cloud service in iCloud Drive. You can keep your other cloud service folders in a different place on your Mac, like the home folder.

When you turn off Desktop & Documents Folders, your files stay in iCloud Drive and a new Desktop and Documents folder is created on your Mac in the home folder. You can move files from iCloud Drive to your Mac as you need them, or select all of your files and drag them to the place you want to keep them.

If you already use a feature from another cloud provider that syncs or manages your Desktop and Documents folders, you need to turn it off to use Desktop and Documents. Desktop and Documents requires macOS Sierra or later.

My first attempt was like everyone else. A spare partition of 256GB on thunderbolt drive. So I had good backups and decided to install on Internal m1 Mac mini disk. This erased the installer so in terminal I:

The key (at least for me) was to use a Thunderbolt 3 SSD. After various attempts with a USB-C Samsung T5 I came across some articles (to which I can't like on these forums for some reason... - search for "How to boot an Apple Silicon Mac from an external drive") that pointed out that requirement.

Box Sync is not supported on Apple Silicon devices, and users may experience service disruption with continued use of Box Sync and Apple Silicon devices. Please note, Box Drive now has native Apple Silicon support and we recommend admins begin migrating users from Box Sync to Box Drive following these step-by-step instructions. Amazon WorkDocs Drive is a mounted drive that enables customers to open and work with Amazon WorkDocs files on their desktops. Customers can copy a shareable link, lock, unlock, or open a file in the web client with one click. WorkDocs Drive automatically syncs any changes made to Amazon WorkDocs and vice versa.

To upload files to OneDrive automatically, just copy or move the files to your OneDrive folder using the Finder, or save them in your OneDrive folder from an app. Files you upload this way can be up to 250GB in size if you're signed in to a Microsoft account, or 15GB if you're signed in to a work or school account. If you installed the OneDrive app on other computers, the files will automatically be added to the OneDrive folders on them, too.

The sync app lets you sync files from your OneDrive for work or school and even from Microsoft SharePoint sites if your admin enabled it. (If you're the IT admin for your organization, see Enable users to sync SharePoint files with the new OneDrive sync app.)

On the Sync Files from Your OneDrive screen, you can choose the folders you want to sync to your computer, and click Next. This conserves space on your computer, and reduces bandwidth needed for the sync processes. 006ab0faaa
