My name is G. T. Karber. I am a Hollywood mystery writer and part-time programmer. I've always loved murder-mysteries, and have staged dozens of murder-mystery events in LA, including a monthly dinner theater at my local Himalayan restaurant.

Last year, I made a murder-mystery puzzle game for a friend of mine called Murdle. When I put it online, a lot of people liked it, and I ended up getting a call from a wonderful literary agent named Melissa Edwards who sold it to St. Martin's Press a month later. Last week, the first one came out in bookstores in the US. It'll be followed soon by a British edition this Thursday, and then translations in Italy, the Netherlands, South Korea, Vietnam, and Taiwan! (You can order it now!)

This has been an absolutely wild rollercoaster ride for me, and I have learned a lot about how books were made, how puzzles are solved, and how to turn a webgame hobby into your full-time job. I would love to answer any questions people might have about murder mysteries, puzzle design, web art, book publishing, or anything else! I'll answer questions starting at 2 PM ET.

There are five main short story collections plus a few uncollected stories, totaling 53 short stories where Father Brown appears. This story features the charming artist and amateur detective Philip Trent, who elbows his way into investigating the death of the wealthy American Sigsbee Manderson. But unlike most detectives in mystery novels (like Poirot and Sherlock Holmes) who are always right, Trent is actually most notable for all the things he gets wrong.

But whether you work out the solution yourself or are thrown by a convincing red herring, the adventure, thrill, and suspense of a mystery is its own reward. Where else can you get a story with so many twists, turns, and surprises?

Meeting face-to-face to discuss the latest mystery novel with a group of like-minded bookworms has become increasingly difficult over the last couple of years. But filling that vacuum, online book clubs are popping up across the globe thanks to video conference platforms such as Skype, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and others.

BookTalk.org is a free online reading and discussion club with thousands of members. Recommended books include mystery and suspense titles, along with fiction, non-fiction, short stories, and poetry. Discussions are available in forums as well as live chats hosted by the website.

This month we will read mystery books with detectives that have a disability. A physical disability does not define the abilities of a character, particularly when smart, quick thinking is so vital to the profession of crime fighting.

On this website you can find what to read next, read our monthly newsletters, check out our helpful mystery book lists, and order books and gifts online. Check out our signed copies, new hardback books and the latest paperbacks. We've also added a list on Mysteries of the Middle Ages. Also ask about out vintage paper back collection, and see the British Crime Classics section.

We did the time travel mystery. The thought, detail and time put into this product was far beyond my expectations. So well thought out, well executed, professional and age appropriate. I would highly recommend for kids/families who enjoy solving a mystery step by step with creative and fun problem solving. The solutions didn't come quickly and were just the right amount of challenge. I just kind of stumbled across this product and now it will be out go-to present for relatives. Also, I haven't reviewed anything online in probably five years so that should help show my exuberance here.

My niece and nephew gave up their screen time for 3 days to plow through their mystery. My nephew is 9 and thought it was 'real' so my sister in law couldn't bear to tell him it was his birthday gift.

Happy to be the cool aunt who gifted their favourite present this year

And in fact I have. This is the fourth time I have order the "Treasure Hunt!" mystery. I have completed the mystery with my daughter and given as gifts and now doing it with a set of brothers. Their eyes light up when they see the package. I love the educational aspect and the puzzles. It is a great introduction to a host of topics and such a great alternative to a screen!! Mail Order Mystery does a great job with the pay-off of sticking with the mystery.

Purchased the Pirate Mystery for my 7 year old grandson. The mystery was solved over a month ago and he is STILL EXCITED about the adventure!!! He visited last weekend and brought over every letter, clue and piece of treasure. We will definitely purchase another mystery!!!
