Users also need to know that you can set only one duration in every use, unlike the Alarms and Clock app for Windows 10. Additionally, besides the digital timer, there are no other functions, such as alarm and world clock, that other clock apps offer.

All in all, Desktop Timer is an app that works as advertised. It is also easy to set up as it comes with a simple interface. However, the app is nothing more than a timer. Unlike other clock apps, it has no other functions. While it offers other menu options, most of them only redirect you to a free domain.

Yes, the intention of this timer is to be as clean and simple as possible. As for changing the seconds, you can do that in the EXTENDED version or in the APP, which also has some other extra features. Tnx for your comment!

As for suggestion, we might implement it in the future. For now, maybe you can try this:

1. Add an extra monitor besides timer, there you can type something using word processor, or use some appropriate program for typing messages

2. Make timer smaller (use ESC to exit fullscreen display), adjust the size of timer and then use a the other part of the screen for messages to the presenter.

My only suggestion is that when the timer is reset with the Delete key that it would go back to the previously set time as almost all of our talks over two days were 15 minutes in length rather than the default 10 minutes. But it is easy to increase/decrease the time so that was only a very minor inconvenience.

Hi and thank you. I dont see a problem here, if I understand you correctly. On one monitor you will be running a full screen timer and on other (extended desktop) monitor, you have your presentation. It is allready being done like that on numerous TEDx presentations, as it was on ours. Best

I currently use the Apimac timer for my Anatomy lab exams because of one feature it has. It can be set to make a sound then automatically reset and start counting down again each time it finishes a countdown cycle. There are a number of things I do not like about the product, but that feature works and is necessary for my application. Does you timer have this feature? If so I would be interested.

Hello I was trying ti find a desktop background type count down timer which can be pushed to some 800 employees computer centrally. (The timer should be displayed on desktop background and will not affect users files, folders and other work. Pop up etc are sometimes annoying so was trying to find desktop background based timer.

Is there a way to reset the timer to a previously set position => our pitchs are always 7 min. long. When I reset the timer it always goes back to 10 min.

i've been saying this for a long time and i think when this suggestion first came out i voted for it. it's been over a year and when i make jokes on twitter saying spotify needs to add this feature to desktop i always get reply's of links coming back to this suggesting. it's been over a year now and we're still asking for it but the best response is to give us this link. we love the apps and love to see it improve but this is a year old...

I've been a long time Spotify user but only recently upgraded to premium - and now I'm finding I always like to listen before bed (coz there's no adds to wake me up)...but the music still does wake me up and I eventually fumble my way to close the laptop to stop the music. Would much rather be able to do that via sleep timer so that the music doesn't wake me up again in the first place

The desktop timer provides another way to track time for a project. This is a smaller version of the timer available in Time & Expense Entry, and the time you record with the desktop timer can easily be transferred to Time & Expense Entry when needed.

The desktop timer offers two modes. The minimized mode is a small, unobtrusive object that you can drag to any location on your desktop. The timer appears on top of any other applications you have open.

To transfer recorded time from the desktop timer to Time & Expense Entry, click the Transfer button next to the item you want to transfer, or right-click and choose Create Entries for all Timers from the context menu. You will need to complete the line item in Time & Expense entry by adding engagement and other information not included on the desktop timer.

Note: Once you transfer a timer to Time & Expense Entry, you can see it on the Entry tab of the Time & Expense Entry screen. You can restart and stop the timer from this tab. The timer will not appear on the Overview tab.

I want to add a timer rather than a countdown which automatically starts when the form loads. Starting time should be 45 minutes and once it ends, i.e. on reaching 0 minutes, the form should terminate with a message displayed. How can I do this?

On xubuntu with default elementary dark theme , timer plugin is almost unusable since the bar has the same color of the panel , and it's really difficult to see it.

I cannot find a way to specify a different color for the bar...

Apologies for necroposting but I have the same question. In many dark themes the bar icon for xfce4-timer-plugin when it's idle is black which is hard to see against a dark panel. For instance, in Arc Dark:

3. I'm guessing that fg[NORMAL] would change the color of the bar when the timer's inactive. What would the setting be to change its color when an alarm is active, fg[ACTIVE]?
