As soon as I had the idea I thought it would be pretty cool to do.I have seen electronic business cards before, with various fun features including emulating USB flash drives, blinkenlights, or even wireless transceivers.I have never seen one running Linux, however.

The choice of processor was the most critical decision to keep the cost low and make the project feasible. After much research, I selected the F1C100s, a fairly obscure cost-optimized (read: damn cheap) part made by Allwinner; it includes both RAM and CPU in a single package.I bought these on Taobao. All the other miscellaneous components were sourced from LCSC.

Due to the size of all these small parts, right away I decided to reflow solder everything using a cheap reflow oven.I have access to a laser cutter, so I laser-cut my own solder paste stencil using laminator pages. The stencil turned out reasonably well. The 0.2mm apertures for the processor pins needed special attention to get them to come out clean: laser power and focus were critical.

What can I say?It boots a super stripped-down Linux in about 6 seconds.Due to form factor and cost, the card lacks I/O, networking, and any amount of storage to run heavyweight programs.Nonetheless, I managed to cram a bunch of interesting stuff into the firmware image.

During the compilation process, the build tools generate a small FAT32 image and add it as one of the UBI partitions. As I described above, the Linux gadget subsystem presents this as a mass storage device to the PC.

It would be great to disable (or ability to select per scan) the business card scanner feature. Scanning documents that are of similar size or shape bring up the business card features even when you are not scanning a business card.

Sorry my original post wasn't very clear - instead of signing into evernote by clicking the "Evernote" button in the app, you'll need to click "More" and choose Evernote from the list of apps... I know this is weird but it won't "Business Card" the scans.

App still disconnected from my evernote account, but the problem is: Evernote extension isn't one of the"more" options anymore. Still got FB, google+, icloud and some other extensions, but evernote disappear. Went to check if extension was disable, but it's simply not shown on the extension list page. That's weird, since it's there in Safari

+10 off the business cards. Scannable - kind of useless, and two clever for its own pants - please just switch off the whole business card thing, don't want it, don't need it... I do want to scan my receipts, at present cannot... back to genius scan I suppose. The work around above is much too long-winded.

The workaround which I found was to copy the scanned image, create a new note, and paste the image in as the body before deleting the "business card" (unfortunately this needs to be done for each note).

I have to jump on here.. often when I am scanning a document, it "thinks" it is a business card. Worse yet, if I didn't take the time to go make sure what was saved in Evernote, yet tossed the paper, I have lost one side of my scan (if it was two sided). This is a huge flaw.

Hello! After a trade show, I uploaded a number of business cards into Hubspot using the Business Card scanner. One of the default fields was "Mobile Phone Number" which I put the contacts phone number in for each card. However, now that I am trying to go through all of the contacts and reach out to them, the "Phone Number" contact field is blank and I can't seem to find "Mobile Phone Number" field anywhere. Is there a way to see these numbers so that I can reach out to the contacts?

Thank you for the help. I was going through the steps you showed me. However, when I was searching for "Mobile Phone Number" in the Contact record left sidebar edit menu, nothing showed up. I have "Phone Number" availble, which is what was already on the sidebar but not "Mobile Phone Number" which seems to be where everything is saved.

The Mobile phone number is not in the left contact sidebar by default. You'd have to click View all properties before searching it or add it via the sidebar customization. It's unlikely that it's not there since it's a default property. Could you check again?

Navigate to Settings > Objects > Contacts > Record cusotmization > Default properties sidebar > Edit, then search for Mobile phone number and add it to the About this contact section on the right. Hit the Save button and you should be set.

Whenever you're trying to find a property, you can also scroll down said sidebar on the left until you see the View all properties button. This is where you should find all information about your contact.

Yes, a free sample kit can be mailed to you upon request. Our sample kit contains a variety of products so you can see and feel the different paper stocks and coatings for yourself. Click here to request a sample kit.

We offer a variety of paper stocks with different thickness and coating options to choose from. Our 14 pt. paper stock is the most popular for business cards. It is sleek and durable, and you can add an optional UV gloss finish. Our Trifecta paper is our most luxurious stock and ranges between 24 to 38 pt. thickness. 100 lb. paper is our thinnest cover stock and best for cards that need to be produced in masses.

The durable 14 pt. gloss cover provides protection against stains and damage, making this a great default choice. For a softer, vintage-inspired appearance, we recommend either our 14 pt. uncoated paper or our premium 16 pt. matte cover stock. If you would like the ability to write on your business cards, make sure to print them on uncoated paper. Finally, if you are looking for impressive, high-end business cards, choose any one of our Trifecta paper stocks. These ultra thick stocks come with either a velvety, soft touch finish or a textured canvas finish.

We accept TIF, TIFF, EPS, AI, PSD, BMP, GIF, JPG, PNG, and PDF files. PSD, PDF, and AI files should be in CMYK color mode to ensure accurate color output. The resolution of your files should be set to 300 to 350 dpi, unless stated otherwise.

The Bleed is the part outside of the Safe Zone that gets trimmed off when the product is cut to its final size. Bleed is short for all the graphics on a product that will "bleed off the document" so that the color continues to the edge of your cards. Most of our business cards require that your files have a 0.1" bleed. 152ee80cbc
