The purpose of the Milford MA Food Provider calendar is to improve equitable access to nutritious food with respect to affordability, physical accessibility, and cultural connectedness. The calendar is updated monthly.

The Greater Milford Community Health Network, also known as CHNA 6, is looking to support emergency food and toiletry programs in the region in order to ensure that everyone who needs access to these resources are able to receive it.

Based on successful models in other regions, we have created a monthly calendar that can be widely shared with the community so everyone can know about all the amazing resources that are available to them. This will also help us identify any gaps, that we as community, could work together to address!

We will attempt to have orders delivered 1 - 3 days before the date you requested but due to the nature of the shipping during the pandemic and holiday season, may be unable to deliver on the precise day you select. Advent calendars will be delivered in the month of November prior to Thanksgiving regardless of the delivery date that you select. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

We enjoyed the 2022 Advent Calendar. Lots of fun products inside and we looked several of the companies up to order more plus future WI road trips. Here are a few of our favorite. (I burned the heart into the ornament to personalize it.) The red pieces of the popcorn were clearly the house favorite ?. My kids think the jam should be called Chokeberry raspberry jam. We had a good laugh learning about chokeberries. Very delicious, highly recommended this calendar.

Every year on the 21st of March, Tiramisu lovers from around the world celebrate International Tiramisu Day, so how could the JITG team not get onboard for that? The day was created in 2017 by food writers and journalists Clara and Gigi Padovani.

It may not be the most exciting of snacks, but carrots are the favourite food of rabbits and a great source of vitamin C. No doubt you were reminded as a child to eat your carrots, so you can see in the dark too.

Beer and pizza, the perfect match. In Egypt, beer was the favourite drink of the slaves building pyramids for the calories and protein, and pizza dates back to 997 AD in Italy. Thousands of years later, the foods are paired and celebrated every beer and pizza day.

We are currently facing unprecedented supply chain challenges that impact manufacturing and distribution of some foods and ingredients. Other circumstances also arise on occasion, such as the inability to staff our schools. This means we sometimes need to serve a different meal than what is posted on the menu with little to no notice. This situation is out of our control and something that school districts all across the country are experiencing. We are doing our best every day to come up with solutions to these challenges, including working hard with our vendors to secure meals as published and minimize meal substitutions to our best ability.

Meals at AISD are prepared daily by Food Service staff in each school kitchen. The healthy meals we serve meet or exceed the federal breakfast and lunch nutrition guidelines that we are required to follow. We strive to offer a balance of healthy versions of student favorites mixed with scratch-prepared dishes and global flavors. AISD menus feature local, sustainably-sourced, and clean label foods.

We encourage all students to dine at school. As a federally funded program, we receive reimbursement for each meal served; the more meals we serve the more funding we have to invest in the quality of our food, maintain local jobs, and support the Texas economy.

There are 2 main ways to find food in your area: mobile grocery locations or food pantries and soup kitchens. Mobile grocery locations and food pantries provide boxes of free groceries. Soup kitchens provide hot meals. Find locations for each in your area:

Find Groceries Near You details all mobile food distributions in your area. These include FTB-staffed locations where our team hands out boxes of food, and all partner locations where we drop off food to a partner and they distribute boxes of food to the community. For this type of distribution, a refrigerated truck brings food to a neighborhood or central location to distribute at a set time. These distributions can occur once or can occur on a weekly or monthly basis.

Find Pantries Near You shows all of our food pantry and soup kitchen partners serving in your area. Food pantries typically provide boxes of produce and shelf-stable groceries, though offerings may vary by pantry. Soup kitchens typically provide hot meals. These sites are commonly situated at community centers, churches, or local organizations. Distribution and serving times will vary, so it is recommended to call each location before visiting.

Our FoodPlus team can assist you in signing up for financial assistance programs like SNAP (formerly known as food stamps) and Medicaid. While our direct assistance is limited to food relief and related programs, we can connect you to a variety of other resources in your area. Click the See if you qualify for FoodPlus button above to learn more.

While the majority of our distributions do not require paperwork to receive food, some do. Paperwork is required for distributions that provide food from government programs. This information is used to determine how much food our area will receive through future government programs. Any information or paperwork our food pantry partners gather may differ by site. Similarly, paperwork is requested at some of our FTB distributions in hopes of understanding the impact of our services and may look more like a survey. This paperwork is used to alter our operations and better serve you. 2351a5e196
