The license for this font is the SIL OFL license. This license does not allow us to redistribute derivative versions of the font without wholesale name changes inside and out of the font. Until we figure out a reasonable method of delivering these to you and complying with the license, you will have to use the Webfont Generator yourself on these, renaming the fonts appropriately.
Upon further investigation, it seems their font for "Rubik" is corrupt or otherwise problematic. Conversion to ttf gives the same results. The font can be previewed under Windows, but the behavior in-browser (FF56.0b2) is the same.
I converted the woff to ttf using Google's woff2 tool, then tried the ttf version locally, without unicode-range and the results are the same. Here is a preview of the truetype version of the font, converted from the woff2 version, in FontForge, if anyone wants to see if the glyph's are in the correct location (note that this version of the font also doesn't work in-browser):

Recently, when I go into any wiki page in Fandom, the text looks a little bit distorted and that distortion really bugs me out. I didn't notice that distortion several hours ago, but I don't have anything to show that the text was not distorted during that time. The font that looks distorted is Rubik.
On the second part, are you referring to the font ligatures? Yeah Rubik does not support the font ligatures, you can customize the CSS to use a different font if you want to use ligatures. Fonts like Fira Code, Operator Mono will support this.

The important point now is the use of the font style called Rubik Light, because every single time I make use of it I get the same error (Did a test series on that). I installed this font style (.ttf) from two different sources (Google Fonts & GitHub), but it didn't make any difference at all.

Hi - I am using visual studio 2013 and creating an SSRS report. I see the Rubik font is available and when exporting the report to PDF it's changing itself to a different font. Can you help me with how to solve this issue?
SSRS fully supports True Type Fonts (ttf) and has limited support for Open Type Fonts (otf). Essentially, any Font that can be instantiated by the .Net System.Drawing.Font ( -us/library/system) class is supported by SSRS.
If all of these conditions are met for a font, the font is embedded in the PDF file. If one or more of these conditions is not met, the font is not embedded in the PDF file.

Always make sure to read the license for each font you use. Most of the fonts in the collection use the SIL Open Font License, v1.1. Some fonts use the Apache 2 license. The Ubuntu fonts use the Ubuntu Font License v1.0.

I found these scripts on luaotfload's GitHub repository, and tried to add them manually to /usr/local/texlive/2022/texmf-dist/tex/luatex/luaotfload/, but it wouldn't change the output of the above diagnostic. The font triggers a bug in the Node fontloader due to some unusual tables. This will be fixed in the next luaotfload version, until then you can use it by specifying Renderer=HarfBuzz to use the unaffected HarfBuzz based fontloader:
If you are wondering why the error message says "The font "Rubik-Regular" cannot be found.": The font loading in LuaTeX basically either succeeds or it fails, it doesn't communicate why it failed. Since a not found font is by far the most common cause for being unable to load a font that's what the error message sais, but actually it just indicates that "something" went wrong.
