Hello, I got FIFA 23 on release day and after months of struggling with anti cheat issues i finally opened the game using origin launcher and everything was going smooth.

Today I got an update forcing me to install EA launcher instead of Origin with no way to bypass the process and of course after doing so the game is no more working...again.

I simply click the play button, some loading happens then just nothing happens and the button is green again.

Everything is running as administrator, firewall is bypassed and I play the game on Ultra so my rig ain't the problem.

So please I need some support in this.

Worked for me ty. I also deleted the ea anticheat exe from windows and then verified my files for fifa on Steam. I then launched the game through steam using the play button and when the EA app launched my fifa sttarted first time and no anticheat errors either

I've been playing FIFA 15, 16 and now 17 on the PC with that very annoying launcher and I just found how to completely disable it. Maybe you all knew about this already but I couldn't find a reddit thread about it; there's also not that many references to this after a Google search.

It's been more than a week since the game released, and I've downloaded it since day one, and since day one I'm trying to fix this annoying issue. When I click play to launch fifa 23 the game immediately crash without any error message, as shown in the video: -7DDm6Jee0

Here's the steps I used start to finish, it's important to note that I'm using the EA App launcher for the game because I have EA Play through GamePass. It probably works with Origin too but I couldn't test it myself.

Download EA Play through [NonSteam Launchers] ( -On-Steam-Deck) (shoutout to u/steamdeckbro!). There's a nice tutorial on how to get setup here: -and-guides/install-3rd-party-launchers-on-steam-deck/

Once the installation is complete, quit the launcher, open your browser and download the FIFA 23 Live Editor (shoutout to u/xAranaktu!) -- this will allow us to bypass EA's cheat at the cost of going online

Extract that directory somewhere within the proton prefix that contains your EA Play launcher. For me that was located in: "/home/deck/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/NonSteamLaunchers/".

Launch "Launcher.exe" through steam. (Optional) When it launches, select "auto launch game", this will allow the Live Editor to launch FIFA every time you launch the launcher which is handy in Gaming Mode, but totally optional.

I am planning to buy FIFA 23, and it is cheapest on Epic Games Store after their applying their coupon. Just wanted to know if anyone had any problems specific to epic games launcher like linking the ea account or launching the game or anti-cheat stuff like that. ff782bc1db
