I tried to install fBasics package. I believe that is is already installed, but when I type into library() or require() command, it always tells that there is no such package. I attached my error messages below.

The fBasics package contains basics tools often required in computational finance and financial engineering. The topics are: basic statistics functions, financial return distributions, hypothesis testing, plotting routines, matrix computations and linear algebra, and some usefule utility functions.

We put the code in script files named builtin-funPackage.R where "fun" denotes the (optional) major function name, and "Package" the name of the contributed package from which we copied the original code.

When we find statistical summary of an R data frame, we only get the minimum value, first quartile, median, mean, third quartile, and maximum value but in descriptive there are many other useful measures such as variance, standard deviation, skewness, kurtosis, etc. Therefore, we can use basicStats function of fBasics package for this purpose.

More precisely, we have available OHLC (Open, High, Low, Close) index value, adjusted close value and trade volume. Here we can see the corresponding chart as produced by the chartSeries within the quantmod package.
