Attempting to login to ECA this morning (29/10/2020, 09:50 GMT) and am getting "Something went wrong, please try again later" with a message at the top of the page stating "Login failed communication error".

I have a target board with MSP430G2744 in it. When I try to read memory on it the programmer produces "Error 33: IR Communication Failed" What does this mean? What aspect of the communication is failing.

Hi Chris,

IR communication failed means there was an issue on the SBW lines that made it where the MSP-GANG had trouble talking to the target device.

In order to help diagnose the issue, I have some questions:

Are you using a TI target board, or a custom board?

Can you provide a portion of the schematic showing the TEST/RST (SBW) connection to the MSP-GANG, including Vcc/Gnd and any passives or other devices connected to RST/TEST pins?

Can you also provide information on how the board is powered (from MSP-GANG, or is there any external supply on the board or battery)?

How is the MSP-GANG physically connected to the device on the board - is the provided ribbon cable to a 14-pin header used, single unshielded wires, pogo pins, or what method? What is the total length of the signal path between MSP-GANG and the device (must be less than 50cm)?

Are there noise sources in the system? (radios, motors, relays, etc)?

Hopefully these can help provide some clues to what is happening.

Just as a side note, this error is somehow interconnected with Ata comreset failed (errno=-16). So if by any chance someone googled this otherwise different error message and landed on this page, then then this solution might resolve the issue at this particular case .

Background: Communication errors contribute to the occurrence of adverse events in various domains of health care. Recent studies surveying perceptions of communication in the operating room have found disparities in the perceived quality of communication among members of the operating room team. Our aim was to characterize the nature of communication failures observed in the operating room and to assess whether a Team Training curriculum had any impact on observed communication errors.

Methods: Intraoperative observation was performed and communication errors were identified according to predetermined criteria. Observed errors were classified according to the type of error, subject matter, and observed effect.

Results: Seventy-six communication failures were observed over 150 hours of observation. Overall, communication errors relating to equipment and keeping team members informed of the progress of an operation comprised 36% and 24% of all observed communication errors, respectively. Prior to the introduction of a Team Training curriculum, 56 errors were observed over 76 hours (rate,737 errors per hour; standard error, 0.098). After Team Training, 20 errors over 74 hours were observed (rate .270 errors per hour; standard error, 0.060; P < .001).

Conclusion: Communication failures related most frequently to equipment and keeping team members updated as to the progress of an operation. These failures can lead to procedural delay and inefficiencies. A program that teaches teamwork and communication skills is one strategy that may improve communication among members of the operating room team.

Checked Wildfire on our 5250 and it's all up to date as of 11 minutes ago (4pm), but it's still continue to spam our email inboxes with the same message "Failed to check upgrade info due to generic communication error". We temporarily turned off URL filtering and it's made no difference whatsoever.

We have been seeing this intermittently across all our firewalls for the past month or so. Occasionally, we see a lot more of these errors than normal and this past weekend was particularly bad. Background: Error communication includes both reporting errors to superiors and disclosing their consequences to patients and their families. It significantly contributes to error prevention and safety improvement. Yet, some errors in intensive care units are not communicated.

Findings: Factors affecting error communication in intensive care units fell into four main categories, namely the culture of error communication (subcategories were error communication organizational atmosphere, clarity of processes and guidelines, managerial support for nurses, and learning organization), the consequences of errors for nurses and nursing (subcategories were fear over being stigmatized as incompetent, fear over punishment, and fear over negative judgments about nursing), the consequences of errors for patients (subcategories were monitoring the effects of errors on patients and predicting the effects of errors on patients), and ethical and professional characteristics (subcategories were ethical characteristics and inter-professional relationships).

Discussion: The results of this study show many factors affect error communication, some facilitate and some prohibit it. Conclusion: Errors confront nurses with ethical challenges and make them assess error consequences and then, communicate or hide them based on the results of their assessments. Health authorities can promote nurses' error communication through creating a supportive environment for them, developing clear error communication processes and guidelines, and providing them with education about the principles of ethical practice.

The error is specific "USB communication failure", try a highgrade shielded cable rated for USB 2.0 HS 480 Mbps. I've seen thiswith the cable my colleague supplied me with, which worked fine onthe JLink but I suspect that only uses a FS 12 Mbps connection.

We consistently get this error in the Desktop Intelligence login process on the client PC: SessionFacade::openSessionLogon with user info has failed(Transport error: Communication failure.

After installing updates to Windows (KB5021234, KB5021090, KB5021954, and KB5021955) on 13 Dec 2022, my flows that use the Launch Chrome action started failing with the error, [Failed to assume control of Chrome (Communication with browser failed. Try reloading extension)]. And, not surprising, the same error is thrown with the Launch Edge action.

Firstly it knocked out my WiFi adapter, then once I'd recovered that (a 2 day job), I noticed that PAD gives the 'Communication with browser failed. Tried reloading extension' error when used with Edge and Firefox.

I don't know why but since a couple of days I keep getting communication failures.

Tried reinstalling a couple of times, also on different SD cards, but still the same behavior.

This mostly happens when mounting drives and turning on or off repos in OMV-Extras.

The things do work though after trying a couple of times, but it just all appears pretty unstable.

I read somewhere that it might be because the server is too slow to make the php work properly,

but I'm running OMV5 on a Raspberry Pi 4 with SanDisk Ultra SD Card, so this should be fast enough right?

Have not messed with OMV for a while and the system runs stabel so far.

Just updated everything and enabled testing repo again and it still is loading very long until it throws the communication error.

The changes still apply so nothing to really worry about, but the issue remains.

The problem with OS implementations is that sometimes the OS will lock-out all interrupts when modifying system control stuff. If you drop out some tasks or slow the main system timer tick, do the errors happen less frequently? What happens if you do more task switching or speed up the timer tick? 2351a5e196
