MAC OS 13 Ventura has an issue with the full disk access settings even after updating the Privacy settings in system preferences, ESET continually pops us with a warning to update the settings and disrupts other applications running, anyone else having the same issue?

So no matter how many time you update the settings on MAC system, the annoying pop up (7 times trying to compile this update), there was a small update this morning on ESET, but this issue is annoyingly persistent.

I am facing the exact same issue the last couple of days, I have tried a couple of times to enable and disable the slider as you said, I have rebooted multiple times, even uninstall and install the Cybersecurity Pro that I currently have. My issue is exactly the same as the two users above, in both my personal MacBook Pro M1 and my professional Mac M1 one. The mentioned KB is not really useful for the particular case, since giving access to the full disk, doesn't seem to be the issue.

I have exactly the same problems on my MacBook Air M1 2020. Tried solution offered here with no result at all. Does anybody know latest recommendations of Apple to resolve the problem? Or they are informed only?

Please try following the above instructions again while clicking slower, allegedly it can have an effect on certain systems. Should the problem persist, open a support ticket please. The issue has already been reported to Apple.

I've been trying to get Cyber Security working on an Intel Macbook Pro for the last three days! I've followed the instructions to the letter and am still getting the VERY annoying popup every minute or so. Every time I trying re-installing it I get different options in the Full Disk Access list but I never get all three as shown in the so called "solution". It's now 12th November and this still hasn't been fixed.

The issue was reported to Apple. As far as I know, the solution described in the KB worked for our users. If there's an issue, I'd suggest contacting customer care who would check it step-by-step with you.

ESET has worked great since I chose this application in March 2022. I have had the same issue with the Ventura OS with no resolution for about a month now. Because it no longer works, I am cancelling my auto renewal and foregoing the rest of my paid subscription and moving on to another solution.

The solution as described does not work! I have tried to follow it exactly on multiple occasions and it NEVER works As I have originally stated the options to allow full disc access never seem to appear in the list so how can I disable and re-enable them?? I'll try contacting support as you mention and unless this is sorted soon I feel I'll have to cancel my three licenses and move to a different option.

I had a huge problem today with eset. I actually had the popup to grant full acess to disk but when i did that the computer start to slow down until not working at All. I was not able to do a thing on the computer even when i rebooted 10 times. So i decided to start in safe mode and remove eset.

I tried to reinstall the antivirus today and i have the exact same problem. When I have the popup to put my password to grant acess to eset everything just freeze and the computer does not respond anymore.

I purchased ESET Cyber Security Pro 6.x for Mac, but my Mac is experiencing significant slowdowns and occasional freezes. When I disable the resident protection, my Mac operates smoothly. I am using a Mac with macOS Sonoma and an M2 processor.

4. Alternatively, how can I upgrade from ESET Cyber Security Pro 6.x to version 7.x (not the Pro version), and when will this option become available? Would it be possible to upgrade from 7.x to Pro 7.x once it's released?

I have the same problem with ESET Cyber Security Pro and Sonoma 14.1 - 14.1.2, M1! About 30 minutes after activate ESET Cyber Security Pro (no matter which version) the MacOS freezes, no more work possible. No version of ESET Cyber Security Pro works with Sonoma, only ESET Cyber Security will work: _cybersecurity.dmg

i've a little question about the native version of Cybersecurity pro on MacOS Ventura; no news since a lot of time so, is this version coming soon? I've 2 licenses of it and it expires in a few months... I've some choices: I wait for the release and renew the license, or change but I don't know what to do.

I've ESET license since years on Windows/Android and now MacOS, so I don't really want to change but the native version is so awaited and no news for the users of Cybersecurity Pro (unlike the classic version (7), released a few months ago and which benefits from a follow-up and news/updates..)

I don't know what I have to do?... I have to renew at the end of October; will I have to uninstall pro and go to standard version 7? What will arrive with my actual license?

Do I have to take two new standard licenses or can I convert my current ones?

Thanks a lot!! very interesting answer

I'm on M2 chip. Can I just uninstall the CSP version and install the 7 with the same serial number?

does the 7 have less security options?

And the price... ? can I downgrade my licence when it will be expired?

am too on a m2. pro licence and cyber (non pro) version 7. it works. try it. non pro does not have the firewall. activate standard macos firewall next to it. if you decide to go for a non pro licence, u will not be able to use the pro, if released.

By Eset LiveGrid I mean the tab who show all process that are running (in realtime) and reputation of each. The tool is available on Cybersecurity Pro but in standard you just see the Eset LiveGrid is on but you can't access to the list of process anymore...

I have an Apple Mac Studio with M1 Ultra silicon. I would like to download ESET Cyber Security. However, the current version requires Rosetta to run. I DO NOT want to use Rosetta. I want a version of Cyber Security that NATIVELY runs on Apple's silicon. Will there be a version of ESET Cyber Security for Mac that will be released that runs natively on M1 Macs? If so, when will this product be released?

I emailed customer support to ask about this, and I also used the chat function on the web site. However, the responses I got were cookie cutter responses that did not answer the question that I asked. Instead, the responses simply directed me to download the existing version of ESET cyber security. I think whoever answered both either didn't understand the question that was being asked or giving a stock response. I tried asking in chat four or five different ways, but the answer never addressed the question that I was asking.

Immediately after installing the last MacOS update to Mojave, my MacBookPro began experiencing intermittent connectivity issues with internet servers. The only means of restoring connectivity was to do a reboot of the machine, and then connectivity would resume for periods lasting from minutes to days. The issue was a in a mid-to-higher level protocol in the stack as physical network connectivity (WiFi or Ethernet) was never impaired. I installed Catalina and the issue persisted. I escalated a trouble ticket with Apple's engineering: after evaluating my machine config and logs, they pinpointed ESET Cybersecurity for Mac as the culprit. I uninstalled ESET and the problem went away entirely.

I operate a couple of other Macs, as well, which all have been running ESET for years. After upgrading my MacPro to Catalina, it started showing the exact same issue. I uninstalled ESET on that machine and it runs fine now.

Something in the preparation for, or arrival of, Catalina disagreed with the recent versions of Cyber for Mac. Can you suggest when that issue will be fixed and I can resume using my Cyber for Mac subscriptions?

At this juncture, I don't intend to invest the time to reinstall ESET on these machines for the sake of recreating the problem to provide you with data. (I'm now using a competitor's product; actually, the one recommended by Apple engineering).

I'm bringing it to your attention as a data point. If it's a real issue, there will be other users who experience it and report on it. I'll continue watching to see if that's the case and you find a solution to it. If so, perhaps I'll reinstall them at some point in the future.

Hi, I've had the exact same issue since I bought my new iMac Pro it's been driving me insane! I just hung up with an Apple specialist who confirmed it's eset that's causing the problem. I just uninstalled it and hoping it helps!

On my Mac desktop big slur OS, I got notified to update to 10....1 on east pro security for Mac. Downloaded the installer when I went thorough instructions got to install and then 3 secs got message saying installation stopped contact ur it department

I tried all the steps in your support document. I contacted support via chat and they blew me off! AND I successfully reinstalled the previous version. I am not running BiG Sur I am running Catalina! I went above and beyond ran a find to remove any and all crumbs that the uninstaller left behind.

Note that ECS gave me an error on the new re-install regarding giving permission to eset cyber security and eset real-time protection. I had to specifically remove full disk access permission in Security and Privacy > Privacy, reboot, and then re-add the permission.
