@Wyzlow I can't find this song (with Dolby Atmos label) - you can share a link if it doesn't work specifically with it. I tested with lossless and Hi-Res settings as well and it worked fine for songs from this playlist: -atmos-best-of/pl.3651b01cb53c4f38aa9b50c0489f94aa?l=en-GB&ls), but I would not recommend using Hi-Res option this with Equalizer as 1. on Androids sample rate may not be properly reported to the equalizer, so you get incorrect equalization in such cases, 2. you're removing hi-res/lossless property by equalizing this way. Stick to standard definition Lossless.

Anyway processing Hi-Res and to some extent lossless audio with equalizers and dsps contradicts point of these high accuracy audio formats, wastes battery charge, and increases CO2 in the atmosphere;-)

I use a Samsung phone and recently upgraded to Buds Pro 2 from Buds 1. The 360 audio is alright but I want to see if Dolby Atmos can help me get the sound I'm looking for. Truthfully I don't know anything about equalizers or how to fully utilize them. I listen mostly to rock and metal and I'm looking for crispy guitar, clear vocals, and hard hitting drums. I like to hear the bass in my music but it isn't everything to me. Could anyone help?

Yes, i use a third party, butnot works well, when i enable the volume down a lot and if i continue using whith volume down after a time the equalizer disables and the volume has a huge increase, even scared myself once with it....

Thanks for the tip, me device is a Samsung and it has Equalizer per default, but when i enable Equalizer the volume downs a lot, with vipers the sound equalizes and the volume not down, like PowerAMP equalizer...

I need help I bought a new Samsung Galaxy A14 yesterday and I was setting up sound effects and Dolby Atmos.... the problem is that I don't see the equalizer so where is the problem? I tried to put the smartphone in the charger, but the equalizer simply cannot be displayed, so what should I do?

Same here. After the last win 11 update 22H2 icue equalizer and and dolby audio not working. The icue v.4.28.177 didn't do anything either. Tried clean installs a couple of times with no success. Hope they will fix it soon

i installed Dolby Home theater v4 but the equalizer is not working at all... even i tried uninstall and reinstall it again still not working.... sound is playing perfectly but the equalizer is not moving up or down.....

This is the first posting. Details and screenshots will be added and refined in the future. We will be able to post our own equalizer profiles for best audio settings as well, as we mess with it. The settings are stores in *\EqualizerAPO\config\config.txt.

1. Make sure the audio device you want to use/modify/test is connected.

2. Download Equalizer APO

3. During installation, I set the location to C:\EqualizerAPO because they do not give you desktop shortcuts.

4. After the installation, you will be prompted for which audio devices you wish to use Equalizer APO for. You can choose one, or all. This can be changed later.

5. When you choose the device(s), it may require a restart, and all Windows will disappear.

6. Configuration:

a. To modify the equalizer and Preamp settings, launch C:\EqualizerAPO\Editor.exe

b. To change what devices use Equalizer, launch C:\EqualizerAPO\Configurator.exe

Is there equalizer for windows? If not, how will the liberty 2 pro earbuds sound on windows without the EQ presets? I know that you need the signature or the piano preset for these to sound good from the reviews.

Boom 3D is a good equalizer for Windows in the recent times, have used it on windows and use the same brand app on iPhone. Us they have a discount going on if you search / Google / Bing it.

What I am trying to do is transfer my cassette music tape collection to digital on my PC. However, I have run into a minor problem. Several of my commercially recorded tapes use Dolby encoding, but the player I have does not have a Dolby decoder. This results in exceedingly high levels of treble in the transferred tape. I have tried using the equalizer settings on my player to lower the treble level, but then the dynamics between the soft passages and the louder passages are not good. It is possible to fix the value of coefficient C(0,0) at one. The remaining coefficients are adjusted adaptively according to cross-correlation scores. A cross-correlation score taken to one side of the current sample, for example, measures the amount by which the current symbol smears to that side. It is assumed that the symbol on the opposite side of the current symbol smears into the current symbol by the same amount, therefore the cross-correlation score on one side is used to adjust the FIR filter tap coefficient on the opposite side. In general, the cross-correlation score of equalizer filter tap (x,y) is used to adjust the coefficient corresponding to filter tap (-x,-y), that is, the filter tap mirrored about the center tap from the cross-correlation score tap.

If the array of symbols carrying the digital information in each field is known to have good autocorrelation properties, that is, a very low autocorrelation score for all offsets except (0,0), then intersymbol interference can be minimized by adapting the equalizer filter coefficients until the cross-correlation scores of the equalizer output with the thresholded data are zero. A basic implementation of adaptive equalization is discussed first under the assumption that each field has very good autocorrelation properties. After this basic implementation is introduced, a more general implementation of the adaptive equalization filter is discussed.

Adjustment of filter-tap coefficients is accomplished by subtracting a fraction of each normalized cross-correlation score from the corresponding equalizer filter tap. Each cross-correlation score is normalized by dividing it by the score S(0,0). Normalization eliminates dependence upon various factors such the range of values in the equalizer output representing symbols, and the number of symbols comprising a field. Thus, filter-tap coefficients are adjusted according to ##EQU4## where f=convergence factor.

In one embodiment of the present invention described above for recovery of digital information from motion picture film stock, equalizer output for each fixel falls within a range substantially from -0.5, which represents an opaque fixel, to +0.5, which represents a transmissive fixel. Values at the equalizer output representing the fixels ideally should cluster tightly around these two values, but because the optical characteristics of transmissive fixels are generally corrupted more than those of opaque fixels by effects such as film wear and dirt, the sample values of opaque fixels tend to cluster more tightly than those for transmissive fixels.
