With the news of TheFlow's exploit being released soon, I was wondering if anyone who currently has a hacked vita could give me an idea of what the state of emulation is right now. Which systems is RetroArch able to do well with or which PSP emulators are worth getting on Vita. Thanks in advance!

Just got a ps vita and I would like to know which are the best emulators for each retroconsole. Is retroarch the best option for the the whole package or are there specific apps/emulators which work better on dedicated apps/emulators?

Hi just wondering what the best ps vita GBA emulator is. I am currently using gpsp but I was wondering if there is a better emulator than that. I have tried to get into retro arch but I don't understand it and mainly play GBA games anyways.

the ps vita slim (pch-2000) removes OLED degredation (LCD screen) and improves battery life at the cost of ~50 and makes internal modding more difficult, additionally since it is newer finding old firmware versions may be tricky

~100-150 android phone + controller (flydigi wee reccomended), android will run most emulators up to n64/ds era and in general has better performance and software but peripherals such as controllers/usb ports/hdmi out might be an issue fo phones. if you like the feel of the dsi xl/3ds xl the GPD XD is highly reccomended.

~100-140 ps vita (slim), the ps vita occupies a weird middle ground between android and psp, it has better hardware than the psp and better controls than android, its major pitfall is software, emulators are sparse and most run via psp emulation (which doesnt take advantage of multiple cores) or in retroarch.

But I can only play RPG's on emulators these days given how busy I am. The reason being is that they have save states. So I don't want to play it through the PSN store because it would take more time, which I unfortunately don't have.

The emulators below are compatible with both the PSP and the PS Vita (through its PSP emulator). We have another page for Native PS Vita emulators (compatible with PS Vita only) running through the HENkaku hack.

A variety of emulators exist for the Playstation Portable and the Sony PS Vita. Explaining to you how to install and run them is not the main goal of this article, but you will need to get your console ready first. Check the explanations below:

The download links below are kept up to date regularly in order to guarantee we provide the latest and greatest version of each emulator. When several options are possible, we added alternatives in parenthesis. But if you find better, please let us know!

Great job for all of us!

But me, beeing a noob in the PS Vita emulation realm, is there something in the Raspberry emulation scene, like images with emulators and roms of the emulated systems, to use in our Vitas?

For what I've been able to understand, there is Retroarch, which concentrates many emulators into one package only. And I understand that there are many standalone native emulators. So... questions:

I fell down the vita 2023 rabbit hole. Its trending on my youtube reccomended now. Currently have a steamdeck as my home gaming console and my phone with a razer Kishi v2 as my on the go pocket gaming device. Steamdeck is way too big and expensive to take with me to work.

Vita has me hooked on visual appeal, the v2000 is slim and can fit in my pockets (light blue one looks fantastic). Plus it has access to those sweet playstation titles like the jak trilogy and vita titles like uncharted aren't all that bad.

Vita3K is the most advanced emulator for playing PS Vita. Originally released for Windows and Mac, the Android version of this emulator is a great way to enjoy the games from Sony's latest portable console anywhere you want.

PX-68K is a Sharp X68000 emulator. This is a Japanese home computer from the late '80s/early '90s that was used by Capcom as devkits for their arcade games. It played host to many popular games from the likes of Namco, Konami and Capcom.

Now with GBA emulators its hard to say which is better to use as gPSP works but has issues with some roms and even game save problems, which can be fixed easily. Where mGBA the native emulator or even RetroArch port of gpsp can work better with some roms but for me, I find it easier to just use old ePSP GBA emulator.

2) I found a few days the bubble bokkr vita and i just imstalled to read some pdf but for some reason they doesnt seem if you press to open folder. In my PSP, works super when i downloaded some years ago, is this happening to only me or also yours ?

Once installed, the exploit allows users to access the Vita's file system via FTP and transfer across homebrew packages. Those games and apps are then displayed on the home screen ready for use. Software is relatively scarce at the moment given how new the exploit is, although a Vita version of Doom and a handful of emulators are available for the Game Boy, Game Boy Advance, Neo Geo Pocket, Mega Drive (Genesis), and SNES. Users can also install VHBL, a PSP-based homebrew menu that features more fully developed emulators.

The mGBA project started in April 2013 for the PC version with the goal of being fast enough to run on lower end hardware than other emulators support, without sacrificing accuracy or portability. Even in the initial version, games generally played without problems. mGBA has only gotten better since then, and now boasts being the most accurate GBA emulator around.

Other goals include accurate enough emulation to provide a development environment for homebrew software, a good workflow for tool-assist runners, and a modern feature set for emulators that older emulators may not support.

RetroArch is a cross-platform collection of emulators that focuses on backwards compatibility and performance. RetroArch is also chock-full of features such as save states, cheats, netplay, rewinding, a music player and more. Press [L] + [R] + [Start] + [Select] during gameplay to open the Quick Menu; here you can access options such as save sates and screenshots.

We often read of programmers finding ways to get old game titles running on modern smartphones by emulating the original platform. Thanks to the abundance of console emulators for Android, it's truly a wonderful mean to relive some of our best childhood gaming memories. Moreover, emulation is the key to preserve the history of video games, which is why we always find it exciting to see new emulators making their way to Android. This time, Vita3K, a popular PlayStation Vita emulator which has been available on desktop operating systems for years, has received an official Android port. be457b7860
