Course Substitutions are intended to meet emergency situations. Substitutions are not usually granted more than one semester in advance. Course Substitutions are applicable in situations where the student believes he/she has taken an equivalent course or when a required course is unavailable and an equivalent needs to be recommended. The Division Discipline Group MUST approve all certificate substitutions.

Students who have previously earned a degree or certificate can order a reprint of that document. There is $10.00 processing fee for each reprint request. ALL holds must be cleared before the reprint can be released. Reprints take up to three weeks and are mailed to the student.

When you send a complete application package to the Bureau or Educator Certification requesting a Florida certificate, your complete package is evaluated to determine your eligibility for a Florida certificate. The result of that determination is sent to you as an Official Statement of Status of Eligibility.

Since veterans can get the most up-to-date information on their education benefits through their online accounts, most people only need the certificate of eligibility when applying to schools or pursuing military-related grants and scholarships. Many scholarship organizations only cover educational expenses after benefits are exhausted; therefore, the COE is requested as proof of your benefits history.

Before applying for a certificate, make sure you qualify for VA education benefits. In most cases, servicemembers and veterans are eligible for the Post-9/11 GI Bill if they served at least 90 days of active duty after September 10, 2001. Depending on the program, you may also qualify for the Montgomery GI Bill for Selected Reserve or Active Duty service members if you have satisfied the two-to-six-year obligation.

Candidates for certification must have completed 6 years of full-time teaching or other professionally certificated service in schools, including 3 years in a supervisory or administrative position while holding a valid teaching and administrative certificate.

The certificate programs listed below are approved for financial aid. Students enrolled in these programs are able to receive federal financial aid as long as they meet general eligibility requirements.You can jump to undergraduate programs or jump to graduate programs.

As a non-degree student, you may be eligible for limited student loan funding if you are enrolled in an eligible certificate program, teacher certification program or taking prerequisite coursework necessary for admission to degree program.

In order for us to review your eligibility, you must submit the Prerequisite Coursework Aid Request Form, which includes a plan of work. The form must be signed by an advisor in the program in which you will enroll after prerequisites are complete.

The Principal certification and Superintendent Letter are accredited by CAEP, nationally recognized by ELCC and approved by PDE. The Supervisor of Special Education certificate is accredited by CAEP and approved by PDE.

To satisfy the medical science examination requirement for ECFMG Certification, international medical graduates (IMGs) must pass Step 1 and Step 2 Clinical Knowledge (CK) of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE). The eligibility requirements for examination differ depending on whether the applicant is an international medical school student or an international medical school graduate.

In addition to being currently enrolled as described above, to be eligible for Step 1 and Step 2 CK, a medical school student must have completed at least two years of medical school. This eligibility requirement means that the student must have completed the basic medical science component of the medical school curriculum by the beginning of the examination eligibility period.

The Immigration Reform and Control Act requires every employer to obtain a Form I-9, employment eligibility certification, from every employee hired or rehired. In addition, employers are required to inspect documents which employees must present to support the Form I-9. Note that the Form I-9 is required of every employee. The federal government requires that employers complete the I-9 process within three (3) business days of the hire date or by the end of the first day if the employment is to last less than three days.

Thus, you cannot be hired, rehired, or paid until you complete the I-9 process. Employees who begin work, in violation of this policy, prior to employment eligibility clearance will not be paid for such service until completion of the I-9 and are not eligible for a salary advance until the I-9 is completed.

On occasion, an employee will work at a remote or off-site location and, therefore, is not able to present original documents to a WSU representative for inspection. In such instances, Human Resources will authorize an individual to act as an agent of the university for the purpose of completing the Form I-9.

Students who are not accepted into a degree-granting program are classified as Non-Degree Students. These students are generally not eligible for financial aid. Exceptions can be made for those enrolled in eligible certificate programs or those taking prerequisite courses for admission to a UWM degree or certification program. In both cases, students must:
