When you print a shipping label with eBay Labels, our negotiated rates let you save money relative to what you would pay at the post office or to a carrier for most services, and you'll save time by not having to stand in line. Depending on which carrier you choose, the cost of the label can be paid for from your available funds, or from your on-file payment method.

Once you've printed the label for your first package, simply select Print another label for this order from the label confirmation page. You can then enter the weight and dimensions for the next package.

If you don't have a printer at home, you can choose the QR code option where available. You'll receive a QR code which you can save to your phone. You can then scan the code at a participating drop-off location to print the shipping label there. Here's how:

Whenever you purchase a label through eBay Labels, a QR code will be automatically emailed to you. When you drop off your package with a participating carrier, you can use an in-store self-service station to scan the code and print the label, or have an associate do it for you.

Briefly, I somehow under-listed the weight of an item I sold, and thus the buyer's payment didn't cover the shipping cost. I went with a 3rd party shipping site that offered a lower cost, and I marked the item as "shipped" and entered the tracking info. Now it appears that eBay has released the funds for the sale to me, but they have withheld the shipping portion. Is this correct?

No, there is no current policy that shipping labels must be purchased on eBay. Many times I use pirateship.com and have never had an issue. You may be making an error in the amount you received and are confusing it with the label portion. Go to your orders page and click on the amount paid. That will give you a full breakdown for that transaction, including all fees. Best of luck to you....

My question is can if a customer submits an order with the shipping fee will I be able to use pirateship.com for generating the label to full-fill the order and still get paid for the total amount of the ebay charged customer?

I shipped personal items at a discount last holiday season through I think multi-order shipping on PayPal but not longer see that as an option. Is there any way currently to ship personal items using eBay shipping discounts? Postage is outrageous at the shipping sites.

I'm sorry but what do you mean by "Postage is outrageous at the shipping sites." You can get the same discounts you get on eBay through any number of other sites such as Pirateship, stamps.com, Paypal and others.

I have just been moved to managed payments. Before the move, when I printed a shipping label, one half of the page was my label, and one half was a very useful detailed receipt. I kept this for my records, and it has been useful to me.

Since being moved to the new selling dashboard (which I hate) and managed payments (ambivalent), my shipping labels print without a receipt half - the second half of the page is simply wasted empty space. I have no option to print a receipt at all, only to print a pick list. I cannot find a single relevant setting to fix this.

I've had to resort to printing the second page of the ridiculous label payment email (what is e-bay's new obsession with useless white space?) and then hand-writing the other record details I want.

Does anyone know of relevant settings to print a receipt like the old one?

That's a baffling place to put that ("packing slip and more"? really?), and it's 1) not actually all the same information as the old label sheet was. It includes what the buyer paid for shipping, but not what I paid and how much insurance I added and 2) it's an additional sheet with tons of white space, when all of the information on there plus some fit on a half sheet next to the label I was printing.

I don't do enough sales to justify buying a shipping label printer, so this waste of a half sheet of paper is really irritating on top of the filing problem. It's not like I can put all the half-sheets together to print something else!

However, it's at least better than me printing the shipping label receipt from my e-mail and then scribbling the additional information by hand - this I'll just have to note two values on, which is much less work. So, thank you gkn29, that's quite helpful, although not a "solution" and that's not on you - that's on e-bay.

I ship exclusively USPS. I've tried both "printable label" and the blue button, both provide the same result. I even tried going to bulk label printing to see if it had kept the receipt half, but nope, nothing I try gets me the old label+receipt page, and I'm clearly not the only one like this.

It was a sudden change that happened at the same time as MP, so I wasn't sure if they were connected. Remember, e-bay does a lot of unannounced A/B testing and switching people over to new site designs etc all the time. It's all chaos, all the time.

3 -- I have been using the email that comes (I get 2, one says its a receipt with no customer info at all, and the your shipping label page.. which has a picture of what I've sold the track #, the date, the customers name and address... but low and behold the AMOUNT paid for the label is on page two. AGAIN LIKE YOU SAID WASTED INK AND PAPER. Come on Ebay you can do better than this. FIX IT TO WHERE US SELLERS HAVE THINGS SIMPLE.. NOT A BUNCH OF INK/COLOR.. AND MAKE IT ONE PAGE. GEEZ. - It's bad enough each and every label I purchase is coming from our bank account which makes it not real easy to reconcile anyway... but having to chase down and make sure I have all these pages printed (half sheets and be able to print AT SAME TIME THE LABEL IS CREATED) with the amount to see which one needs to go with this or next months statement to be file away. Gaaaahhhh ... always something. MAKE IT LIKE MY PERSONAL ACCOUNT..... A LABEL and A RECEIPT ALL ON SAME PAGE!! PLEASE.. WE ARE BEGGING. LORD.

Thank you...THANK YOU...So much!!? the same thing had been happening to me for the last 3 shipping labels i printed. I followed your screen shot and the instructions ....the most important being to check the box that says (you have it in green)"add receipt and instructions". Oh my goodness...so nice to be back to having the shipping label and the online label record printing on 1 sheet of paper again1 thanks again so much for your time and knowledge! ?

If you follow "wastingtime101" screen shot and instructions below you should get your address label and your online label record back printing on 1 page. I did. ****Also you can have your shipping label purchase come out of your pay outs instead of your bank account. When you are printing out your shipping label in the lower left corner of the page(?). you will be able to choose that option. i hope this helps you. Wastingtime101....truly saved my sanity today!

My problem is a little different. On a normal label, I have a receipt. When I create a label for bulk shipping, combined shipping, I get no receipt. Do you know it this fix is applicable there? I don't want to make matters worse.

Hello, I received payment for shipping from the buyer but ebay seems to want to apply it directly to a shipping label. I was planning on taking it to the post office to get it packed and shipped. How do I collect the money for shipping if I don't print the label through ebay?

Thanks for the replies everybody. I do understand that the post office wont actually pack the item for me. I just need to get materials there. Thanks for letting me know that the shipping money will be credited to my account if I don't use it to print a label through Ebay. The ebay label may not work since I've decided the item needs an outer box bigger than the original specifications used to calculate shipping.

It's been a while since I sold much here so I don't really understand the MP account. Whatever happened to getting paid via Paypal? I'm not even sure where to see my current balance on ebay. I sold a small item a couple months ago and received payment via paypal as I always had before (first sold back in the early 2000s) I was surprised that I was forced to add a bank account. Any info would be greatly appreciated. ff782bc1db
