As the price indicates there is no back plate included with this card. There are also no other dongles or connectors included with the package. The only items included in the box are the GPU, manual, and driver DVD.

The Zotac 1060 Mini features the standard ports you would typically find on any GTX 1060. 3 Display port 1.4, 1 HDMI 2.0, and 1 DVI port. I like the decision to include more Display Port than HDMI connectors.

Being compact and having good specs on paper is nice, but performance is what really matters. I ran an assortment of synthetic and real world gaming benchmarks to see how the Zotac 1060 Mini 6GB actually performs. All tests were run at 1080p/60Hz.

The 1060 had no problem posting really strong scores and frame rates across the board. If you are gaming at 1080p you will be able to run pretty much any game at max settings and 60fps. You will also be able to run a good chunk of games at 1440p/60fps.

When overclocking the 1060 I saw temps average around 82C during gaming sessions. The throttle point is 83C. The card will drop the clock speed enough to stay under that thermal limit unless you raise it with Firestorm.

The Zotac Geforce GTX 1060 Mini 6GB is a great all around graphics card. If you are looking to game at 1080p/ultra/60fps you will be extremely satisfied. You will also be able to play most games at 1440p/60fps comfortably.

Download Nvidia display driver from It's an script to be running in non-graphical mode: reboot and hold "SHIFT" key to activate grub menu, select "Advanced options"->"Recovery mode"->"root", execute mount -o remount,rw / then execute the Nvidia driver installer script, after successfully installed, reboot.

Hey guys c= been trying to repair the fan on my Zotac GTX 1060 Mini but couldn't find the right screwdrivers, even bought a set of screwdriver heads and none of them seems to be able to unscrew most of the screws for the shroud (and the fan) anyone knows what size screwdriver do I need exactly? Thanks x3

Ok I just swapped GPUs with my brother (now I have a GTX 960). And it is working now (with current drivers), I am going to wait till there is a driver fix (if there is going to be one). Thanks for the help.

I have recently bought the EXP GDC Beast Laptop External Independent Video Card Dock + Mini PCI-E Cable - WITH POWER ADAPTER along with a Zotac 1060 6GB AMP card.

Thanks for the reply @Contact it is set to UMA only and it is in Device Manager under microsolft basic display adapter or whatever. It's been in deceted Device Manager before and yes I am using the desktop drivers.

For those familiar with Zotac, the packaging for the 1060 AMP! GPU will feel very familiar. We are left with the Zotac logo in the top left and the box features an overall yellow design to it. Down on the bottom left of the front, we have a couple mentions of some of the more sought after features such as the 6GB VRAM, Ice-Storm and Freeze Tech.

The Zotac AMP! 1060 features a dual fan cooler design. The outside of the shroud features a grey colouring while the inside and fans are black. The AMP! 1060 is a relatively small GPU as far as GPUs go these days and when comparing it to the previously reviewed ASUS STRIX 1060, it is noticeably smaller.

The AMP! Edition 1060 requires a single 6-pin PCI-E connector from your PSU and as mentioned, has a max power draw of 120W. To show you how low the power draw is, Zotac has only recommended a PSU of 400W in your system to power the whole system! Power consumption is a very important factor of any build and having such performance as this 1060 features with such lower power draw is amazing.

The AMP! 1060 does take up two PCI slots on the back of your PC but only just. A lot of GPUs these days are big and bulky and while those are great to look at it, it is also nice to see something a bit more practical. Not having an unnecessary cooling solution is a great choice and should allow the AMP! 1060 to be more versatile.

The ZOTAC Geforce GTX 1060 AMP Edition features a fresh design made from the ground up just for the GTX 10 series of cards. It is a refreshing look at the mid-range cards from ZOTAC and we very much approve this design even though it has less metal compared to the previous generation AMP cards. This is an inch and a half shorter than the Founders Edition at just around 8 inches, but is a little wider at 5 inches. The GTX 1060 AMP Edition will definitely fit on most enclosures even on some ITX standard ones.

The ZOTAC GTX 1060 AMP features a good balance between cooling and acoustics, showing a maximum of 40dB at load with a respectable 77c maximum temperature. By default, the fan speeds up at 50% which is the main reason why both figures are at such acceptable levels. This card is almost dead silent by default, and will attain a 45dB : 64c maximum figures if set at 80% power. Compared to the reference RX 480 8GB, the GTX 1060 is definitely a less power hungry GPU.

At 1080P resolution, the ZOTAC GTX 1060 showed a 7% to 28% increase in performance compared to the RX 480. At 1440P performance gains are at 11% to 24% which is definitely around the levels of what a reference GTX 980 could do. The 3DMark Fire Strike benchmarks on the other hand features less gains but it is still a win thus far for the non reference GTX 1060.

The ZOTAC Geforce GTX 1060 AMP is a fantastic mid range card able to deliver up its promise without breaking the bank at 13, 995 Pesos. Performance is definitely better than the reference AMD Radeon RX 480 8GB on this side of the globe where Nvidia has the upper hand when it comes to mid-range pricing. It is a challenge for AMD to step their game up or lose the chance to take the red flag up the hill which will be dictated by months to come. AMD really needs to normalizes the pricing and stocks of their RX 480 8GB cards on the region.

Finally, we get a legendary 5 year manufacturer warranty with the ZOTAC GTX 1060 AMP. It is a value added feature that only a few managed to attain. The ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1060 AMP is one fine example of what a mid range graphics should be, and we do highly recommend it for its sheer performance and set of excellent features.

The ZOTAC Geforce GTX 1060 AMP is a fantastic mid-range card able to deliver up its promise without breaking the bank at 13, 995 Pesos. Performance is definitely better than the reference AMD Radeon RX 480, and is a card that is hard to beat with a 5 year manufacturer warranty. e24fc04721
