Hey guys, I made some driving improvements in my VCOM AI mod - however I thought (and others) that it would be nice to just have the AI driving enhancements without any other strings attached.

This mod simply executes an FSM on all AI and checks if they are drivers or not. If they are actively driving a vehicle they will check for objects/buildings that may get in their way while driving.

I could type a lot more. But I thought I'd let the video speak for the mod instead.

AI DRIVING COMPARISON

Hey all,

I do this all in my free time and, just like you, I don't get paid for ArmA 3 coding. If you feel like throwing a dollar at my wallet - I wouldn't argue.

Any money goes straight to paying college student bills for my wife and I. :P

Donation or not, I appreciate you taking the time to take a look at my creations. I am by far not the best creator of A3 content, so please donate to the ones you believe deserve your hard earned money.

This mod has slightly opened up the doors a little more for Convoy missions. Back in my day, AI could follow a road and see obstacles... Wait a minute, nevermind. Though it does seem like A3 took it to another level of absolute stupidity. That video still makes me cringe. Admit it, we've all seen it in countless missions, the AI's superb, Stig-like driving, but we always block it out. Thanks Dom, thanks for giving us evidence of just how bad it is, without having to boot up our games.

I believe this is the chip that can support all the bias and I am not using the WLED driver on this chip. Upon reading the VCOM application. I see the application example connected a VCOM-FB (feedback?) to the NEG terminal (The inverting input of VCOM buffer). I am wondering how does it work because my LCD doesn't have a VCOM Feedback pin and does that mean I cannot use the programmable VCOM buffer on this chip? Or does it mean I actually have to reference to some other voltages.

I see alot of applications just use a voltage divider sourcing from AVDD to create VCOM bias. I can do that as well but I would love to know how to work with this programmable VCOM buffer to fully utilize this chip.

The NEG is the negative input of VCOM internal buffer, so if your panel need the type which VCOM is generated from AVDD, TPS65150 is more recommended, it doesn't have WLED drivers so could more cost effective as well.

It makes sense to reduce cost and use a more simplified chip like the TPS65150. However, I am still looking to learn more about this chip and how it works and I have the following questions. Also, TPS65150 is unable to help supply my LCD VDD requirement (1.8V). My input is 5V and with TPS65154 I can use the VCC to provide VDD=1.8V for my LCD Panel 152ee80cbc
