Since then it has worked fine (Well the last 2/3 days) and I am getting around 35-37 mbps which is about the limit of my BT based fibre router. Currently its using driver 21.90.2.1 but I don't want to update incase it starts becoming erratic again.

As an additional recommendation, I consider that is important to always update the software/firmware of a laptop using the drivers provided by the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) as they may perform some customizations on Intel generic drivers to meet the needs of their specific system design.

I've tried to assign the model of the card sound that I have to this options snd-hda-intel model=MODEL in the file /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf, like what they said here, but I didn't find Conexant CX8070 in /usr/share/doc/alsa-base/driver/HD-Audio-Models.txt.gz.I also tried to assign laptop, which is the basic laptop config (default), but I still have the same problem.

I have a Huawei matebook X Pro laptop. I am trying to install Premiere Pro 2020 but I get a warning telling me that my Intel display driver and my Nvidia display drivers are out of date and may cause crashes and loss of data so need to be updated.

Is there anything I can do to install PPro 2020? I am currently seeing if PPro 2019 will install, but when v2021 comes oout I will be out of luck with v2019.

Is this anything to do with the trade emargoes imposed by the USA on China? 9I don't want this poist to become political - just technical).

1. The current version of your Intel display driver may cause performance and stability issues. It is strongly recommended that you update to driver version 100.8476 or later. Drivers are provided by Intel or your computer's manufacturer.

A customized computer manufacturer driver is installed on your computer. The Intel Driver & Support Assistant is not able to update the driver. Installing a generic Intel driver instead of the customized computer manufacturer driver may cause technical issues. Contact your computer manufacturer for the latest driver for your computer.

I accidentally downloaded some kind of malware the other day. I enabled some cracked video editing software to run and it basically shut down my windows security and defense system so that I was unable to run virus checks, etc. It's all been cleaned up and sorted after a reinstallation of Windows 10 with the Media Creation Tool. My windows defender is back up and running smoothly, along with real-time virus protection. Whatever I did the other day in trying to resolve that, created a new problem however...

"Windows created a temporary paging file on your computer because of a problem that occurred with your paging file configuration when you started your computer. The total paging file size for all disk drives may be somewhat larger than the size you specified."

I don't have an org. This is a personal laptop and I'm the sole user/admin. Not sure why it's displaying that, but I did mess around with the registry and command prompts a bit the other day while trying to resolve the security/virus protection hijacking that shut down my windows defender. I've since reinstalled windows 10, so that shouldn't have made any lasting impacts but apparently something is screwy because of the above issues...

If you don't have a valid copy of Windows, or you haven't activated it, then of course you will experience a massive performance drop. If you don't have a valid key, you will have to buy one (typically OEM keys are the cheapest, but tied to the motherboard, eg, they cannot be moved to another device in any way shape or form, meaning it is a node locked license.)

NOTE: Smartscreen will close or block applications / scripts, sometimes even drivers (false positive.) Obviously you can disable smartscreen if you really wanted to, but then of course you need a 3rd-party post-paid AV tool.

@Oliver_BesnerYou most likely do not have chipset drivers installed (update your drivers,) and your page file is probably disabled. You could re-enable it, restart the computer, and then disable it again. This is ONLY if you want it to stay disabled. The page / swap file has to reside on a fixed volume which is mounted as soon as the primary bootloader (UEFI / BIOS) passes control to the secondary bootloader, which in turn passes control to the Operating System itself.

NOTE: Typically the OEM (Huawei in this case,) supplies a fully customized driver on their support page. Anything you can get off of the device manufacturer's page, are often newer, more generic / have no customization. If it's an APU or some type of Hybrid / All-In-One Tablet / Laptop CPU, then typically you can only use the OEM's website (Huawei, HP, Dell, etc) to get drivers. This is if it's a pre-built computer. In any other situation you would individually download drivers from each vendor based on the parts you have selected (if you built / assembled it yourself.) In some situations, if the motherboard has integrated graphics / audio, then you might have to rely on the support page for drivers (but you could get similar results with generic drivers from the device manufacturer.) Often the ones packaged with the motherboard have a special UI, or it's some type of hybrid peripheral where they license certain features (Soundblaster / Realtek hybrid, etc.) To duplicate the same level of functionality, you would have to replace it with a separate application (Realtek Audio Control,) or use the built-in Windows UI / interface, with a newer generic driver from the device manufacturer. I would use the Intel drivers on the Intel website, instead of the Huawei ones (often they are newer.) For hybrids and All-In-One Tablet PCs, typically the device manufacturer releases a driver, and some amount of associated IP, which is bound by a non-disclosure agreement. In this case, only the OEM, or Huawei, is able to provide updates (none would exist on the device manufacturer's website anyways.)

I'm using Arch for a while now on my Convertible HUAWEI Matebook E. Before that, I had Manjaro installed, and I'm having the same issue I had with Manjaro also on Arch. I can only lower my brightness with my keyboard, but I cannot rise it. I went to the KDE System settings and checked my hotkeys, they are set to Monitor Brightness Down and Monitor Brightness Up, so all set correctly.

However, when I press the FN Key, my Brightness gets lowered too. Same for the Brightness Up Key. So when I click on change hotkey for brightness up and then press the brightness up key, it shows as Monitor Brightness down.

im on Kernel 5.2.9, which is greater than 5.0 I guess, and I checked for /sys/devices/platform/huawei-wmi like mentioned in the GitHub you send, however, that directory is missing, so I guess the drivers are not installed. How do I check if I'm using the correct driver that is integrated into the kernel?

I tried the driver from GitHub, which seems to be more targeted at the MateBook X, and it didn't work, even though it shows up as a loaded kernel module after installing and restarting. Since im still not very experienced with Linux and I don't have any experience in C or driver development to fix this myself, I just send the developer a message if/how I can help him include the MateBook E. I guess that is the better solution than finding a temporary fix for this issue

Okay so previously was trying to work out why the trackpad stops responding randomly on my Huawei Matebook 16. Having tried troubleshooting all manner of things i just put it down as a minor annoyance that i could just reboot when it happened.

Anyways, i have now narrowed it down to one specfic thing. I was away at the weekend and laptop was left in a hotel, i used it all weekend with not a single issue. The only difference was when i was using it it was not charging.

I guess this is something unlikely to be fixed so will probably just disable the battery protection feature for now, or just use laptop unplugged and charge when not in use, but least i found the cause as that was bugging me not knowing

As a further update, disabled the WMI setting to charge to 90% and stop, and well as soon as the charging state changes is deffo when the mousepad freezes, as this time when it switched to 100% charge it immediately froze so will pop an issue on bugzilla

I had some freezes like you and were very annoying because after the first power-off cycle if I started Windows instead of Fedora touchpad were missing at all, no touchpad device in device manager, so there is a problem with drivers. I noticed also that touchpad is working in bios menu in this laptop, I think that there is a deep integration of the device in the system.

I was using my Huawei ETS2258 with my Windows Xp laptop and a CD was given containing driver and it was working fine. It was showing UMP 3410 Unitary

Driver and UMP3410 Serial Port drivers in Device Manager. But When I changed my laptop and bought a new one with WIndows 7 64 bit. Now it showing TUSB3410 boot device and finding no driver. I use Serial to USB cable to connect the ETS2258 with my laptop where serial port in ETS2258 and USB with laptop. I'm planning to upgrade to Windows 8 64 bit.

I have just purchased an Inspirion laptop with Windows 7 Professional edition but unfortunately it is not recognising the Reliance Broadband+ wireless modem ( Make Huawei). Wondering if anyone can help me locate, download and install the drivers.

Hi

I have 4 Huawei Matebooks (laptops). I'm trying to power multiple screens. Let me just write the specs

2x Huawei Matebook D14 (new model), Ryzen 5 3500u, Radeon Vega 8

2x Huawei Matebook D14 (older model), Ryzen 5 2500u, Radeon Vega 8.

My problem is that the 2 older (I think they're from 2018) has no problem with powering multiple screens, while the 2 new models with Ryzen 5 3500u cannot power multiple screens. The only difference between the old and the new laptop is the 2500u and the 3500u, but I cannot wrap my head around why it should cause problems to have a Ryzen 5 3500u processor - that only sounds like an upgrade.

My setup is that monitor 1 is connected through the HDMI port. Monitor 2 is connected through a USB-C dock. I've tested the setup with the older model, so I'm sure that the screen and dock are working fine - it's 100% a problem with the laptops.

I have Radeon Adrenalin 2020 installed and updated.

So what can the problem be? Is it a driver issue? Is it something in the BIOS? 152ee80cbc
