Before you can download music to listen to offline, you need to add the songs, albums, or playlists to your Library. After you add the music to your Library, in the Music app on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or in iTunes on your Mac or PC, find the song, album, or playlist that you want to download. Then:

What worked for me was to open the song when you have Wifi and click the 3 red dots in the bottom right. then click remove from library. After you removed it add it to your library again, and then try downloading it.

I can be that the servers at AM are just busy. Assuming that you (1) have a current AM subscription, (2) have iCloud Music turned ON and the song is already added to your library, then you can either (1) just wait and see if it works a little later on, (2) Quit the Music App and then restart it or (3) turn off Apple Music in settings and then turn it back on (but since this is a pain I would only do it as a last resort).

I have the same issue but I can't even read the musics nor download. I can't read musics from the "browse" menue either, and when I try to download something on my computer an error message appeared. No problem on my iPhone... Anybody found a solution ?

Beginner here. Can anyone share what resources they use for downloading songs/acapellas/intrumentals? I've heard vocalremover.org is a good free tool to isolate vocals but I would obviously need the song file first. A lot of the YouTube to MP3 tools out there look a bit sketchy and not tryna get a virus lol. Also willing to pay for a service if recommended/necessary

I see you have questions about music you didn't purchase or add being added to your Apple Music library. I can understand wanting to find out where this unknown music is coming from. If you have Shazam installed on your device, and you use it to locate music information, it is possible this is where the music is coming from. Here's information on how to Use Shazam to identify songs and find new music.

Thanks for checking those Apple Music/Shazam settings. I know that songs showing up out of the blue is not an expected behavior. Did you get a chance to see if any other devices use your same Apple ID and password? If you're unsure if there are other devices, you may want to check. Here's how to Check your Apple ID device list to see where you're signed in

If you subscribe to Apple Music, you can add music from the Apple Music catalog to your music library. Stream music that you've added over an internet connection. Or download music that you've added to listen to offline.

I have the automatic download feature enabled for apple music. However, when I want to save a public playlist to the playlist section of my library so that I can access it at a later date. Apple Music forces me to download all of the songs to my library individually, sometimes downloading hundreds of songs at a time. Is there a method by which I can store a playlist or save it somewhere that I can access easily, without adding the songs to my library?

Manually?

How should a program guess from the title only who performed a certain song? Is it the original? the cover by xy? the live version? part of a sampler? the maxi super extended mega mix? ... I am afraid, you have to judge for yourself.

I understand i may be asking too much.. but in any case, is it possible to set mp3tag to search for both artist and song title in discogs and musicbrainz? Even if it means i 'll have to manually select the correct result..

"Don't Download This Song" is the first single from "Weird Al" Yankovic's 12th studio album Straight Outta Lynwood. The song was released exclusively on August 21, 2006 as a digital download. It is a style parody of "We Are the World", "Voices That Care", "Hands Across America", "Heal the World" and other similar charity songs. The song "describes the perils of online music file-sharing" in a tongue-in-cheek manner.[2] To further the sarcasm, the song was freely available for streaming and to legally download in DRM-free MPEG fileformat at Weird Al's Myspace page, a standalone website,[3] as well as his YouTube channel.

"Don't Download This Song" references several court cases related to the RIAA and copyright infringement of music. Among these are lawsuits against "a grandma" (presumably Gertrude Walton,[4] who was sued for copyright infringement six months after dying) and a "7-year-old girl" (presumably a reference to Tanya Andersen's daughter[5] sued at age 10 for alleged copyright infringements made at the age of 7), as well as Lars Ulrich's strong stance against copyright infringement of music in the days of Napster. The song also challenges the RIAA's claim that file sharing prevents the artists from profiting from their work, as the song argues that they are still very financially successful via their recording contracts: ("Don't take away money from artists just like me/How else can I afford another solid-gold Humvee, And diamond-studded swimming pools? These things don't grow on trees"). Mention is also made of Tommy Chong's time spent in prison.[6]

The music video, animated by Bill Plympton, premiered August 22, 2006 on Yahoo! Music. It depicts the vision of the capture, trial, imprisonment, attempted execution, escape, and burning of a young boy who burns a CD on his computer.[8] The boy's death, where he stands on top of a tower just before it explodes, parodies the film White Heat, where Cody Jarrett, played by James Cagney, dies in a similar fashion. Various people, from policemen to criminals to even sharks and dogs, are then seen celebrating throughout the ending chorus. But at the end, it turns out the boy is just imagining what would happen if he downloaded the song, so he throws away the burned CD and goes back to playing his guitar. Throughout the song, the video coloring gradually changes from color to grayscale to dark grayscale to yellowed.

On MTV's MTV Music site where this music video is available, they have censored the names of the file sharing programs in the song, such as LimeWire or KaZaA.[9] Weird Al explained that MTV contacted him and told him they would not air his video if the references to the filesharing programs were not in some way removed, so he "made the creative decision to bleep them out as obnoxiously as possible, so that there would be no mistake I was being censored."[10]

Though Spotify doesn't allow users to download individual songs from playlists, it is pretty easy to quickly create a playlist with all your favorite tracks and download them together for offline listening.

Step 4:A dropdown menu will appear with a list of all your playlists. To create a new playlist for all the tracks you want to download, click on New Playlist and name it. Add all the songs you want to download to this playlist.

Step 5:Then go back to the app's main screen and click on Your Library at the lower right corner of the screen. Click on the playlist you just made and then press the download button which looks like a down pointing arrow enclosed in a circle.

That's all you need to do to download tracks for offline playback. If you want to download entire albums, there is no need to create a separate playlist. Just click on the download button beneath the album cover to download it. The same process works for podcasts.

The only thing you need to do is hold your Android phone close to the source of the sound and wait about five seconds for it to process the song. Right after, and without the need of being silent, the program will tell you the exact title of the song you were listening to.
