Version 0.9.1 has tool tips can be disabled. < and > chars can be disabled in subdir names. Tab character can be specified as CSV column separator. CD insertion and removal is automatically detected. It's a shareware utility that wraps the old-school functionality of the DIR command in a modern Windows interface with many options.

Directory Lister Pro's interface is plain but efficient and clearly configured, with three resizable panels: A left-hand navigation panel with a tree view of all our system's drives and network shares and a horizontally divided main pane with a tabbed control and configuration suite on top and a directory display below. We clicked one of our hard drives, and Directory Lister Pro quickly scanned it and displayed its contents in a color-coded table. You can save and load your configurations as well as HTML forms for saving and printing reports, and a Send Listing icon let us send saved reports via e-mail. The Output options included extras like the ability to generate HTML links to files or directories, while the Other Columns tab let us add wide range of extra columns, such as comments, languages, copyright, and product version; there's even an option to add columns for the four most common hashes. The Microsoft Windows Network column identified all the shared directories and subdirectories in our workgroup, too.

Hello Paul2009OK, so its really phone directory lookup (similar to 411.ca) that will have search bar and then a visitor can either lookup either by name or some category such as department. The search should return a specific result such as name,phone number and email address if searching someone specific by name or if the search is by department then it should return a list of people in that department with all the particular mentioned above.Thank you again

Hi Buck, this might be a bit late for you but there is a directory tool called Community Box that allows you to create searchable listings: I'm not sure it's exactly what you're looking for but you can have people in categories and then search and sort by name, categories or location. It's free for up to 25 entries if you wanted to have a play around.
