What I found was once an azimuth has been set on the phone and you start towards the cache I have a tendency to drop the phone down by my side while walking. When the phone was brought back up to view and held parallel to the ground the direction would be 90 or 180 degrees off. If you find this happening and while holding the phone parallel to the ground lift the top edge of the phone skyward. As you lift the top edge at about 30 degrees you will see the azimuth return to the correct direction. Don't ask me why but all the testing I have done causes it to correct itself. This works if the azimuth is off by 90 degrees to the left or right and also if it is off by 180 degrees.

The distance would count down as I approached the cache but the arrow would point in a completely different direction. My problem seemed to be with the Geocaching app not the phone, as the compass worked fine with other apps such as Adventure Lab or Wherigo.

Thank you for the feedback regarding Attachment Viewer. Based on the information that you provided, in Attachment Viewer, do you find that the "GPS Image Direction" is not useful, or is it the camera icon that is being used to show direction? Do you think that just using the arrow like the Survey 123 application does would be more clear?

This paper discusses the current state, barriers, and future directions of consumer-facing applications (apps). There are currently more than 165,000 mobile health apps publicly available in major app stores, the vast majority of which are designed for patients. The top 2 categories are wellness management and disease management apps, whereas other categories include self-diagnosis, medication reminder, and electronic patient portal apps. Apps specific to physical medicine and rehabilitation also are reviewed. These apps have the potential to provide low-cost, around-the-clock access to high-quality, evidence-based health information to end users on a global scale. However, they have not yet lived up to their potential due to multiple barriers, including lack of regulatory oversight, limited evidence-based literature, and concerns of privacy and security. The future directions may consist of improving data integration into the health care system, an interoperable app platform allowing access to electronic health record data, cloud-based personal health record across health care networks, and increasing app prescription by health care providers. For consumer mobile health apps to fully contribute value to health care delivery and chronic disease management, all stakeholders within the ecosystem must collaborate to overcome the significant barriers.

When you want to check whether the sheet direction is "right-to-left", you can check it with isRightToLeft(). Ref For example, when you want to check this for "Sheet1", you can use the following script. When true is returned, the sheet direction is "right-to-left".

On the Android version of the app I was able to set the compass so the map moved and rotated with me, so that when I was facing in the direction of GZ it was directly at the top center of the screen. If I rotated left, GZ moved to my right. I found this feature very useful, being able to turn my body directly toward the cache rather than having the map with north "up" all the time or having to rotate it manually.

I wrote about microservices and containers in February 2015 as two API* trends to watch. Both containers and microservices have become widely adopted, although there are some who argue that containers will quickly give way to serverless applications. To understand the transition from containers to serverless apps, let me first explain microservices and how they work.

Microservices and serverless apps offer a great opportunity for federal agencies to collaborate with each other to build citizen-centered mobile apps. Each agency can concentrate on building microservices that are specific to the data assets that each agency possesses. The Census Bureau can create a good set of census data microservices while the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) can create microservices from BLS data. These microservices can be blended into a mobile app. The mobile app can also be configured if the user wants to mix in Department of Veterans Affairs data. These federal government mobile apps can be truly responsive to user needs and help agencies better serve the American public.

When using 5.13 Android version, I noticed that the view direction is completely off. See for example this photo: Mapillary. The view direction shows about North-East (dark blue area), while the correct direction is North-West (yellow area). How can I solve this? I thought that the angle was calculated by looking at the direction of the next photo compared to current photo.

At the moment we use the raw angle provided by the compass (before it was direction of movement, right). It might be very off, especially while driving. But on the server, after uploading, we will improve the angle using multiple techniques based on a given sequence.

@Loek, on the attached sequence the default (yellow) compass direction looks correct, and this is a computed on (on the server). Sometimes, if computation fails, it might be wrong, but at least not here. So, I guess there is no issue in processing.

Thanks @Yaro. Clear now. I was incorrectly assuming that the blue one was already computed, and the yellow one was just simply using the direction of the next point to determine orientation. Yellow indeed looks good, so agree that processing seems to work fine in this case. Thanks again!

I write in Arabic most of the time, which unlike English you start writing from the right. Now in browsers writing in Arabic in text boxes starts from the left and the text crawls from left to write which is really annoying especially when editing what I wrote. Is there any way to inverse the direction when writing in Arabic?

The document provides a framework to assist stakeholders in technology evaluation for recovery and to help in appraising and selecting mental health mobile apps based on factors like risk/safety, technical functionality and mental health features.

Providers and advocacy agencies can use the tool to provide a library of safe and effective mental health apps while health care leaders, employee health plans, public and private insurance providers and other agencies can use it to review and provide guidance for apps relevant to their members. App developers can use the report to promote transparency in communication about the potential benefits, risks and evidence to support their apps.
