That is WEIRD! The WOL packet should do nothing more than send a pulse from the NIC circuitry to the power supply, to get it to switch on, and the rest of the boot processs should either boot into the hard disk or do a PXE boot depending on the boot order in your bios.

So that is the first thing to check - what is on the bios splash screen when the machine appears to hang? (with some bioses you may need to hit a specific key during initial boot in order to get a detailed display of the POST and subsequent bios steps.

If this is a correct understanding, have you left the apparently hung machine to its own devices for, say, 30 minutes to see if any error messages are eventually displayed? Can you hear if the hard disk is spinning up and any case cooling fans come on when the machine is sent a WOL packet from Ghost? If the machine is powering up upon receipt of the Ghost packet then WOL is working, but I am at a loss to explain why the bios is hanging.

I would therefore suggest that you also open a conversation with the motherboard manufacturer in case they can shed any light on possible causes of this problem, as my instinct tells me that there could be a bug in the bios.

The little LEDs on motherboard usually means that they are receiving power, you can try to reset the CMOS (I recommend removing the cmos battery instead of 3-pin shorting method since removing the battery has a higher change of resetting the bios in my experience).
