Pay-as-you-go and one-off crossings for Category B vehicles are charged at 2.50. If you've paid for a crossing online using the 'pay for crossings without an account' option, you'll be charged the full rate of 2.50.

I buy a realme 7 pro at least a month ago but my super dart fast charger brings slow charger. I use the original cable, and the original AC adapter. I try with a new brand USB cable fast charge capable but its not working, only regular charge. Whats wrong? I got RMX2170_11_A.37 - Android 10. Any suggestions?

There doesn't seem to be a clear answer anywhere regarding the damage. As far as I understand, USB-PD and Dart Charge aren't compatible. Does it mean my Pixel 6a might overheat. I do know that I won't be able to use the same cable as the Dart requires higher current, but if I use the old Realme charger with the same cable, which is paired with the original adapter, is it possible to get at least 18W of power and charge at a reasonable speed? Or can I use the brick and the Pixel 6a cable with it?

The Dartford Crossing Charge (Dart charge) is included in your reservation cost. If you think you have paid for the Dartford Charge in error, you can contact them via the following link: -dartford-crossing-charge

My OH did similar a couple of months ago, like you she had paid but too late, phoned them up and they cancelled the charge but they said she still had 2 pay for the 2 crossings in order to clear the PCN, the money she had already paid got marked down as credit against her next two crossings.

Roll on to today Thursday 10th May. Letter pops through door with a PCN (penalty charge notice) for an unpaid Dartford crossing? Stamped/franked envelope, letter, PCN, prepaid envelope, full package! Letter said if I paid the crossing charge (2.50) by the 23rd of this month, they would waive the penalty charges? but I have already paid them and have a card statement and a receipt from Dart Charge confirming all this?

Provided all the information to the young lady, along with other stuff, only to be told that I had paid, they did have the money but it was paid late? I suggested, as they had my money and no penalty charges were going to be applied, could they not just use my money for the purpose it was intended for?

As we were getting nowhere, I said that I would pay the 2nd charge and then ask her for a refund? She said I could hold the money against my car for 12 months in case I used the facility again, instead of a refund? I suggested that we could use the payment they already had from me then to pay this one off crossing charge? We jumped back on the merry go round for a few more rotations at this point

You must pay a DART charge toll to use the Dartford Crossing. You cannot pay at the barriers when you use the crossing. Go to GOV.UK: pay the Dartford Crossing charge (DART charge) for full details.

If you own a 2013-2016 Dart with 1.4 Turbo motor, at some point you will likely have a torn rubber boot on the charge pipe where it attaches to throttle body. If you call a dealership to ask about a replacement part, they will tell you that you have to purchase a complete plastic charge pipe assembly with hoses for hundreds of dollars.

The payment system was scheduled to be offline over last weekend (29/30 July) when the contract for managing the payment process passed to Conduent, as former contract provider Emovis moved to handling only the penalty charge notices.

The Realme 30W Dart Charge Power Bank is an easy recommendation from our side for anyone who owns a compatible device. It comes with two-way fast charging and support for multiple quick charge protocol support. The power bank is also compatible with multiple smartphones apart from Realme.

The best part is that all of these features are not limited to Realme devices, and also extend to smartphones from Oppo and OnePlus (they function over the same charging standards). With support for USB Power Delivery as well, it can also charge new laptops such as the MacBook Pro, apart from any other device that charges over USB.

The OnePlus 6 with 3,300 took around 90 minutes to reach 100% from 10% using the power bank and the OnePlus 6T took around 80 minutes to completely charge from 10%, the OnePlus 6T packs in a slightly larger 3,700mAh battery. Also, these two devices support only 20W max output and so this timing is pretty much acceptable here, as the difference is only 10 minutes compared to the regular adapter charging time.

Similarly, the Realme 5 Pro, with a 4,035mAh battery, took around 80 minutes to charge from 10-100%. The device also supports the max speed of 20W only. And, the charging speed is pretty much the same as the conventional charge.

The Realme 30W Dart power bank makes life easier with two-way fast charging, Type-C port, and a wide range of compatible devices. However, one feature I wish the Realme power bank had was pass-through charging, allowing to charge a device while the power bank is charging at the same time. But, considering the big picture, which is the speed and convenience, this is barely a deal-breaker. You can charge the power bank to 50% in just about 40 minutes, which itself is sufficient to charge most phones at least once.

Apart from the above-mentioned devices, the power bank also supports a max output of 18W via USB Type-A port and 30W max output via Type-C port using USB power delivery protocol. It can also charge TWS, headphones, wearables, and laptops with USB PD support, many more devices.

The crossing has always been tolled, and though the cost of construction has since been paid back, the toll was retained, and rebranded as a congestion pricing scheme from 1 April 2003. Since 2008 it has been free from 10 pm to 6 am. An automatic number plate recognition charging scheme named the "Dart Charge" began in November 2014. As a result, the booths on the Kent side were removed and the charge is now only payable online, by post, or in participating retail outlets. A residents' scheme is available, offering discounts for people living near the crossing.

The charges vary according to the type of vehicle. Motorcycles are free but there are standard charges for cars, two-axle goods vehicles and larger vehicles with more than two axles.[35] Drivers who fail to pay the charge are issued with a penalty charge notice.[27] There are no signs warning of penalty charges.

Since 2008, a local residents' scheme gives 50 crossings to car drivers resident in the Dartford and Thurrock council areas for an annual registration fee of 10, with additional crossings at 20p each.[36] On 1 March 2014,[37] this scheme was extended to include privately owned two-axle goods vehicles. A further option was introduced giving unlimited crossings for 20 annually.[31] Around 44,000 drivers take advantage of this scheme each year.[38] Although the website for paying the charge is operated by the UK Government, the day-to-day operations are run by French public roads operator Socit des Autoroutes du Nord et de l'Est de la France (SANEF) on behalf of the Government.[39]

The idea of a tunnel crossing was first proposed by the Ministry of Transport in 1924.[40] Initial reports at the start of the year suggested a crossing between Tilbury and Gravesend, replacing a ferry service,[41] but this had been rejected by July in favour of a route further upstream, near Dartford.[42] By 1929, the total cost of building the tunnel had been estimated at 3 million (equivalent to 175 million in 2019[43]).[44] The tunnel was planned to be part of a general orbital route around London and was provisionally known as part of the "South Orbital Road".[45] The Dartford Tunnel Act 1930 (20 & 21 Geo. 5. c. clxxxii) authorised the construction of the tunnel, and set tolls to be charged for its use. It was amended by the Dartford Tunnel Act 1937 (1 Edw. 8. & 1 Geo. 6. c. cxxvii) to adjust the design and increase the permitted tolls.

In 2000, the European Union issued a directive that value-added tax should be charged on all road tolls, including the Dartford Crossing. The Government opposed the directive and said it would bear the additional cost.[76] It was anticipated that the tolls would be removed on 1 April 2003 under the original PFI scheme contract. However, the Highways Agency decided that the tolls would become a "charge", under legislation introduced by the Transport Act 2000 to introduce charging schemes on any trunk road bridge or tunnel at least 600 metres (2,000 ft) in length.[67][77][48]

Under the 2000 Transport Act, the A282 Trunk Road (Dartford-Thurrock Crossing charging scheme) Order 2002 allowed the continuation of the crossing fee, which officially became a charge and not a toll on 1 April 2003. Management of the crossing was contracted to Le Crossing Company Limited on behalf of the Highways Agency.[78] In September 2009 the Highways Agency made a new contract with Connect Plus (M25) Limited. As well as maintaining the crossing, the contract required the company to widen around 40 miles of the M25 and to refurbish a tunnel on the A1(M) at Hatfield.[78] In October 2009, the Government announced its intention to sell the crossing as part of a public sector deficit reduction strategy.[79] The announcement was unpopular with local residents, who encouraged drivers to sound their horns in protest when using the crossing.[80] After the change of government following the 2010 general election, the new prime minister David Cameron announced that the crossing might still be sold, despite local opposition, particularly from Gareth Johnson, Member of Parliament (MP) for Dartford.[81] Subsequently, the chancellor George Osborne announced that charges would be increased instead to cover the budget deficit.[82] Pre-pay accounts for the crossing were introduced around this time; drivers held an electronic device called a DART-Tag in the vehicle that automatically deducted the charge at payment booths.[83] This was abolished when the Dart Charge was introduced in 2014.[84] e24fc04721
