Hey guys. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on what a good Drag racing simulator would be. I can't seem to find any. I'm talking like a full drag racing experience. Like burnout, pre-stage, stage, launch and drive the car. I drag race in real life and could use some p[practice on the tree. I have a mini practice tree, but I'd like to find a simulator that would work with my racing wheel.

I feel like the removal of Drag races in Heat seems off, since it could've fit in through various day/night events in Heat. Yeah i'm aware that the race itself has issues, but iirc, Ghost Games used to research on old games on how are they gonna make the next NFS fun and replayable (something they would do for Heat in alot of months ago I think). The last NFS game where it nailed the Drag racing system was ProStreet, complete with burnouts before the race itself actually starts (and fun wheelies to watch). 2015 was the second best, but it has minor issues that makes itself behind ProStreet's. Both Underground games are like the stepping stones of the creation of drag races, but it got worse on Most Wanted due to traffic, which it got itself removed in Carbon. The removal of Drag races in Heat would replicate the same (minor) criticism of NFS 2015 where it lacked drag races at first day retail launch (where it got returned on a dlc patch).

So what's the solution for a good drag race event in NFS Heat? In the start of drag race, you don't need to go to some indicated box (like in 2015), and just straight away fill up the burnout meter to do burnouts before the race starts (like in ProStreet). Also make the controls for Drag racing less complicated (just like from previous Black Box NFS games), since this is NFS not real life.

Well not always. On the day, you would have legal races done mostly on straight line. But on night, the tracks for drag races now has more curves to turn, but balanced curves to avoid crashes. And also minimize the traffic during night time drag races, or better, remove them completely only during that event on night. Or if much better, try use either Underground 1 or 2 as inspiration for making good drag race stracks (especially at night), since most of those drag racing tracks are long, but not so much. And if possible, they should try turn it as a post-launch dlc to polish the drag races, if that minor criticism from NFS 2015 came back in Heat.

Again, it feels off for NFS Heat to have drag races completely removed, especially this game was supposed to be NFS' 25th anniversary. Same thing I can also say for the lack of first person view (since arcade games lile The Crew 2 had one and the very first NFS released 1994 had that option too).

If turn10 wanted to, they could create a floating lobby system, specifically for drag racing, and or free drive / track meet up. The lobby would exist as a layer in the game, allowing players to hot swap vehicles in and out, and drop in and out of certain events.

Wonderpill, that is a genius idea! Is there a real way to contact Turn 10 about drag racing in Forza 6 or do we just have to continue shooting wishes in the dark and hope that Turn implement these features?

going through all the pages again , everyone is still looking for the same features . i am 90% sure that fm6 is going to be what fm5 should have been if it was not a launch title, but we will not see any improvements on the drag or drift fronts.

Drag, if they do it right, could be a good DLC add on. I think it should be practically a separate game. Reason for this is so they can make the race start completely different from circuit racing, the whole race structure really, and add in NOS only for drag.

I know this is a forza 6 topic, and i would love and buy a drag dlc for 6, i would love a drag dlc much like storm island was for horizon 2. But also in 6. I just want some good drag racing!! Maybe someday.

Game Mode Presentation:Drag racing is about 2 cars racing down a 1/4 mile track to see who has the better reaction time, better tuned/faster car, and who can drive their car to the best of their own ability.

Heads-Up:This type of race is about who can get to the end first without red-lighting or losing control of their car.(This type is also my personal favorite)

Bracket:Two drivers dial-in the time that they believe their car will run and try to come as close as they can to that time without going faster.

When a player joins a public drag lobby, create a bracket where if they win they move up the bracket and race the person who won their race, keep going until the finals in which a winner will be crowned.

The Strip: If Forza can laser map nurburgring then they can laser map a real drag strip and not create some airfield that has no visual appeal(at least in my opinion). Make it a full blown track with pits and trailers you can tune at and drive around to make your way to the staging lanes in a private match free roam game mode like tag(which is what we used while racing on the airfield in FM5)

Upgrades-Forza has always had aero modifications for circuit, why not add drag racing aero bumpers, skirts, wings, wheelie bars, hoods that help the engine get more air flow.

And all to have the least amount of drag possible on the car

Wheels/Tires-We want real drag tires, not just slicks, the option to choose between big tire or small tire cars, and the ability to upgrade the wheel tubs to put bigger rear tires on the car.We want the ability to have extremely skinny tires on the front end. We want the tires to hook and go,not spin for 2 car lengths then catch grip.

Heres a thought for Forza 6 Drag Racing instead of always rare old cars like the 33 alfa and stuff like that i would like to see real drag racing put in the game where real cars have a chance at being at the top

So some good news cane out at gamesvom. If they are doing the same track formats as from fm4, we have atleast 3 drag tracks now(2 more on top of the airstrip). They announced at gamescom hockenheimring and sonoma. Im extremely hype to get back to sonoma.

Every semi-realistic drag car I make just spins tire down the whole track making it uncontrollable. The only cars i can get to run 7's and 8's in the 1/4 mile are AWD. Also did an expirement with putting a big V8 rear mounted in muscle car chassis, hooks up great but you can't really go strait while doing a wheelie down the whole strip. I've been tweaking my power level/downforce/suspension too with not too much luck unless I lower power. Has anyone actually made a good drag racing car with an FR chassis that can at least run 8's in the 1/4 mile? Would love to hear some tips if anyone has. Thanks!

Until the release of Bethesda Softworks' Burnout last year, I had no idea just how challenging it can be to guide a car traveling in excess of 300mph down a quarter-mile track. Now Mind Magic Productions has entered the drag-racing fray with NHRA Drag Racing, and it too proves just how challenging something that seems so simple on the surface can really be - but in this case the challenge is getting the game to run in the first place.

After numerous video problems, I finally got the game running about three weeks after booting it up for the first time. The kicker is that once I finally got into the game, I found it really wasn't worth all the trouble. Yes, it's licensed by the NHRA, and it features 22 real-life events on 19 tracks against real-life drag-racing superstars like Cory McClenathan and Kenny Bernstein. It's also got better graphics than those in Burnout, at least when it comes to the cars themselves. But because NHRA Drag Racing only allows you to race nitro-burning dragsters (rails) or funny cars, the action gets repetitive almost as quickly as a qualifying run.

In Burnout, you were able to tweak just about any aspect of your car because it simulated all types of drag racing: You could choose fuel, chassis type, tires, and so forth before you squared off against your opponent - and it allowed you to pit all types of vehicles against each other, just like you can at a local drag strip (I know, I've been to one here in North Carolina). But here the chassis are all pretty much the same except for logos, so the only thing left for you to do besides punch it when the Christmas tree lights up is to adjust the various car parameters (clutches, blower overdriver, cylinder pressure, advance spark, nitro content, and nose weight). It might be realistic, but it's not very engaging. ff782bc1db
