Okay, this is happening to me too. Over the past couple days dozens such crypto transaction records have appeared on my iPhone X in my Photos. I do not trade crypto. Airdrop is turned except for Contacts, and I have not been within range anyway.

markhutch, your images don't appear to be in the Photos app. The original poster was asking about pictures appearing in the Photos app. In that case it would be useful to click on the "i" button and see what it says.

For a new wallet account that is just being created or imported, users can select their profile pictures on the Edit Avatar page which is the following step of setting up the newly added or imported account name.

If there is no supported NFT in this account, the page will automatically switch to the default icon carousel where the user can swipe to select a profile picture from a set of default avatar pictures (not NFTs) provided by DeFi Wallet. The same handling will be applied to the newly added accounts.

A default profile picture will be assigned to the existing users before they change their profile pictures. Users can always edit their profile pictures by clicking the edit icon in the upper right corner of the newly added profile picture in the Settings menu.

The proposed rules appear to strike a good balance. There are many types of businesses involved in cryptocurrency, and not all are equipped to gather and report gross proceeds and basis information to determine gains and losses. Could that make DeFi more attractive? It might. Either way, with continued innovation in crypto, it would be shortsighted to rely solely on centralized exchanges to provide informational returns. It makes sense to start mapping out how to handle compliance in the DeFi landscape now, rather than waiting until it becomes bigger and more diverse.
