I'm a mod in one of my friends channel and somewhat often we get people making clips of his streams with offensive titles and making fun of him and his friends. However, because he's busy playing, he doesn't notice them until the end of the stream. By then, those clips have already been spread out and the damage is already done.

He wanted to give me the ability to delete clips from his channel, so I could control that while he's playing, but later we found I can't manage his clips. I was wondering if Twitch has a special permission he can give me to manage his channel's clips on my own or if he is the only one that can delete them.

If users exit the clip editor without selecting "Publish", a clip with the stream title is still saved. These clips create clutter and detract from browsing all channel clips. Ideally these unintended clips should not be saved/posted.

I had no idea pressing clip caused this to happen. I was using the clip system to rewind slightly when I missed something and thought it wouldn't publish unless I clicked the publish button. this so much. i actually avoid clipping because i know that when i adjust the clip timestamps in the tool it will flood the channel with random clips that will only annoy the poor viewer that happens to click it.

+1 for this, would love a button to just delete all the unnamed accidental clips cluttering up the channel rather than manually scour the list for them after every stream or just for them to not be automatically saved in the first place

When a user clicks the Clip button, it automatically publishes the clip. After clipping something, there is a button labelled "Publish", which implies that the clip will NOT be published until that button is clicked; this assumption is painfully inaccurate.
